Post from Truth Social

Analysis: Truth Social Post — November 20, 2023 | ts_111443606451195111

Overview

This post consists entirely of a bare Fox News video URL with no accompanying text. The linked video, aired November 17, 2023 on Jesse Watters Primetime, features Republican operative Garrett Ventry asserting that no one wants Biden to run again — straightforward anti-Biden campaign messaging. The absence of any original text renders substantive psychological or rhetorical analysis of Trump's voice impossible; the post is essentially a content-free link drop.

Authorship Attribution

Verdict: Almost certainly aide-authored (Scavino or staff)

Timing: Posted at 15:34 UTC. On November 20, Trump was in or traveling to Fort Dodge, Iowa for an evening rally (CST = UTC−6). Local time: 9:34 AM CST — firmly within business hours. No authentic Trump posts have been documented at this hour without accompanying text.

Style markers: Trump's authentic posts almost universally include emotional commentary, nicknames, superlatives, or ALL CAPS. A bare URL with zero text is a classic aide-managed share — functionally a content scheduling action. The same-day authentic posts ("MAKE ARGENTINA GREAT AGAIN!" / "PROMISES MADE, PROMISES KEPT! Thank you, Ron DeSanctimonious—MAGA!!") contrast sharply in voice and texture.

Content: The video is 3 days old at time of posting, consistent with staff curating and scheduling favorable earned media rather than an impulsive real-time share.

Psychological Analysis

With no original text, personality trait expression, narrative identity construction, or emotional register are unobservable in this post. The selection of content is weakly indicative of:

• Agency motives (power/status): Choosing anti-Biden content aligns with the campaign's electoral framing — Biden as unelectable, Trump as inevitable.
• No narcissistic dynamics detectable — the absence of any self-referential text removes the primary signal.
• No cognitive markers — no language to evaluate.
• No rage, injury response, or grandiosity evident.

Rhetorical Analysis

The rhetorical work is entirely outsourced to the Ventry/Fox News video. By sharing without commentary, the post employs:

• Implied endorsement / third-party validation: Laundering a political attack through a cable news figure lends it the appearance of journalistic observation rather than direct attack.
• Fox News ecosystem reinforcement: Amplifying friendly media maintains parasocial media loop between Trump's audience and preferred news sources.

No dehumanizing language, violent imagery, or stochastic terrorism indicators present.

Longitudinal Note

This post is one of five same-day posts. The pattern is consistent with a hybrid posting operation: emotionally authentic Trump bursts ("DeSanctimonious") interspersed with aide-managed media amplification (bare URLs). This division of labor is a well-documented pattern in Trump's Truth Social operation.
