And that profit, that money could be going to defend our, and I literally mean defend our homeless and our poor and our sick and our farmers. There's no question about it. Farms that were for generations and families, they're being taken away. The homeless are all over the streets of the major cities, the sick and the problems, and yet we'll give billions of dollars in defending countries that have five times more money than we can ever hope to have. Is there a sweet spot here? Drew where everyone gets what they want everyone gets what they need and quite frankly everyone gets to see face and if so drew What is that sweet spot? There absolutely is a sweet spot and you know I think that there's just a lot of you know, ridiculous narrative coming from the Europeans on this particular subject what president Trump is offering is billions of dollars of investment in the form of private investments and projects all of which we're looking at that span from a I data centers to multiple rare earth and critical minerals projects I mean the sky is the limit and everybody benefits from this including the Danes including the EU including NATO But most importantly the Greenlanders who have overwhelmingly said they want investment and support from the United States They want a pathway towards independence and they are absolutely tired of being exploited and oppressed by the Danes as they have been for the last Hundred years, you know, the era of colonialism is over and it's time to let people achieve their own destiny No one is going to stand in the way of the Greenlanders achieving the goal that they want and they need the United States for that Yeah to that point What do you make of this idea of increasing NATO's presence in Greenland to counteract the threat of China and Russia? Is that enough should that be enough for the United States in light of the fact that Trump has said his concern with Greenland is Chinese and Russian investment taking over whatever or is this really about the minerals and the mineral rights and being able to Unlock what Greenland has to offer to help us economically as well Well, there's obviously a joint nexus between national security and economic development I mean looking at this from the president's perspective My opinion is he realizes that you need to do both and so the reality is NATO is not able to protect itself without the United States I think we need to stop pretending that there's some sort of world in which NATO exists without the United States We've been propping it up for years and years and years and obviously the European members need to do more of a part To contribute and pull their weight so they do need to contribute more towards the collective Arctic security Obviously the United States is as it has been going to continue to be the primary contributor and protector there But at the same time collectively we need to look at investment and growth across the board that allows us to pair that with that national Security, it's overwhelmingly what the Greenlanders want. It's what the United States wants It's you know in private conversations with the Danes and the EU wants Let's just stop playing games and pretend in here and let the United States bring these options that everybody wants and we all will benefit From him drew horn with very pointed insight on Greenland. She pled no contest to four counts, including voting for her sister who had been in a coma for a decade. In Pennsylvania, seven election officials had been hit with election fraud charges destined in the last year and a half. From cases of illegal voting to tampering with voting machines and adding phony votes. You know, a 2012 report by a Philadelphia Republican City commissioner found voting by non-registered individuals, voting divisions with more votes than voters, individuals voting more than once, and voting by non-U.S. citizens. And election fraud actually hit the race for the White House in the 2008 race. Democratic operatives in Indiana were convicted of faking signatures on the presidential petitions that put then Senator Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton on the ballot. So many signatures were phony that authorities said the president may not have actually had enough signatures to qualify for the primary ballot. Is that your signature on this? - That's not my signature. - Did you sign this petition for Barack Obama? - No, no. - You did not? - No. - I did not sign for Barack Obama. - So someone forged this. - That's correct. - Well, so this is how it worked in Indiana. It is unbelievable. You need 500 signatures from each congressional district in Indiana. In South Bend, President Obama qualified with 534 signatures. The prosecutor said 100 to 200 signatures were faked. So that brings the Obama number down below the legal number that he needed to qualify. The prosecutor told me, had this been caught at the time, Maria, the president probably would not have qualified for the ballot and would have been bounced from that primary ballot. But, oh, this fraud wasn't caught until three years after the election. - This is unbelievable.

Correct. A number of those were before the 76-day period as well. I've come in with great concern about how this institution, this great American institution has been run and how American taxpayer money has been handled. I'm sorry everyone's upset that we're taking some time to do it, but what we've seen and what the record shows is just responsible. I'm not upset. A lot of people say you haven't returned your calls. Could it be that you and your colleagues have returned the calls but the people calling just didn't like the answer? Could that be a possibility? I'm not aware of that. I give my cell phone number to any senator that wants it and I return my calls. Has your department gone dark? Somebody said your department's gone dark. Is it dark over there? It doesn't look dark behind me. I don't see any of you sitting on your hands. Somebody made that charge. I see everybody's hands. Let me ask you something else, Mr. Secretary. Does anybody ever come to the Department of Energy to get some of this free money and lie to you? I have not experienced that, but I think it's a reasonable assumption that that has happened. Does anybody ever come to you? Is it conceivable that some of these folks that heard about this free money came to you with a half-baked idea? I think it's very conceivable. In fact, I've seen such plans that were half-baked would be charitable. You said plans that didn't have a business plan, right? Correct. A promise to develop one, to find a location. Just give me the money and I'll develop the plan later. Correct. And now you're going back through, not money that's already been contracted, but you're going back through and checking each one of these loans and these grants to make sure there was no stealing, aren't you? We are. We are. Make sure there was no incompetence, aren't you? Is that correct? We're looking at that, and yeah, my blood pressure is rising right now, just thinking about what we have seen and what did happen at the Department. And you're going to tell some of these boondoggles no, aren't you? That's correct. And they're going to be upset, aren't they? That's correct. And they ought to be upset, shouldn't they? I don't think they should be upset. I think they should be ashamed. I am. It's rare that I'm speechless, but I want to be sure I understood the people running the Department of Energy for President Biden's administration shoveled 93 billion dollars, not million, 93 billion dollars out the door in 76 days. And it just happened to be the time between when President Trump was elected and President Biden, their boss was leaving. Is that right? It is correct and distasteful confidence undermining. My God. Look, I hope you take whatever time you need to go through all of these projects penny by penny. I mean, I've heard this testimony today. Well, it'll cost jobs in my state. If somebody steals 50 million dollars and goes and spends the money in their state, that's going to stimulate the economy, isn't it? Yes, it will. But that's still stealing, isn't it? Their budget went from 60 billion dollars to 160 billion dollars since fiscal year 2021. Senator, the one complication in there too is mixed in there are good companies doing good things honestly with credible plans. And you're trying to separate the wheat from the chaff.
