welcome back America you know Steve Moore it's a pleasure to have you back unleash prosperity co-founder former Trump economic advisor and really one of the best economists out there and Steve Moore I want to discuss this with you because it's not going to be discussed anywhere else right which is part of the problem the media basically have thrown a pillow over the economy and are suffocating the news about it we have an economy that is expanding we've an economy that is expanding for the middle class and for poor people in terms of creation of jobs wealth creation opportunity creation we also have some people Steve Moore who are saying you know just feel the public's pain feel the pain understand the pain be empathetic with the pain I don't have a problem with that but how about we get the facts on the table and talk about what's actually going on in this country you're the man to do it so let's get started what's going on in this country economically well listen this is a blockbuster economy in so many ways now I understand people are upset about paying you know four dollars and twenty nine cents a gallon for gasoline and that is a problem but if you look at so many of these other elements of the economy and just since the last time you and I talked which was a month or two ago the numbers just keep getting better so for example just the other day the energy department reported that we are in the United States producing more oil and gas than any other time in American history mark more own guests were the number one producer of oil and gas that didn't happen by accident it's because Donald Trump put in place drill baby drill whereas you know Joe Biden his predecessor tried to kill the oil and gas industry imagine if we had had Biden for four more years we'd be paying seven eight dollars a gallon for gasoline how about the fact that Trump truly is the blue-collar president you look at what's happening with manufacturing construction virtually all-time highs in terms of job creation in terms of output by our construction and manufacturing industry great news for middle-class workers how about the fact that if you look at people's 401k plans and as you know we've got something like 120 million American families that have 401k plans and other retirement plans those are up just since Trump came into office for a second term of $25,000 in value by the way they fell those plans fell in value under Joe Biden how about this one that they revised upward the GDP both for the previous quarter and this quarter we're running at three and a half to four percent those are blockbuster numbers those are numbers that almost no other country can report on so overall I'm gonna rate this a B+ economy yes inflation is a problem but all these other things that nobody's talking about are so universally positive let's talk about inflation the problem yeah it's a lot lower than it was just two or three years ago is yes yeah now this is a really important point if you take the average inflation rate per year under Biden it was 5% the average inflation rate since Trump has taken office is 3% now it's running at about 3.4% but I'm here to tell you as soon as we bring that oil price down you're gonna see prices fall rather dramatically so that's a big difference 5% inflation under Biden 3% inflation under Trump and yet the Democrats are saying put us back in power we're gonna lower the inflation rate now may make another point about this because it's very important and we chatted about this previously but it's it's more important now than ever where is inflation worse where which states have the highest energy prices gas prices electricity prices housing prices nine of the ten states that are most expensive to live in ready for this mark nine of the ten states with the highest cost of living our blue states California New York New Jersey my home state of Illinois Connecticut Massachusetts now wait a minute we're gonna put these people in power and they're gonna lower your prices I don't think so they can't do it in their own states they never tell us how they're gonna lower prices and I don't think they can't Steve Moore because they they're the ones who kept driving prices up and as a matter of policy they should be thrilled with the price of a gallon of gasoline because as you point out they wanted it at seven or eight dollars a gallon and if they get back in office does anybody actually think they're gonna tolerate us as the number one producer of oil in the world at this record level no they're not gonna tolerate that they're gonna clamp it all right down and I want to pursue that with me when we come back we'll be right back welcome back America Steve Moore I'm trying to figure out exactly how the Democrats are gonna lower the price of anything when you look at these Democrat states you're talking about nine out of ten the prices are higher than anywhere else look at the price of a gallon of gasoline in California premium gasoline diesel gasoline over eight dollars a gallon that is Newsom and the Democrats yeah you know I've been making the case Steve Moore maybe maybe you agree that the main reason the price of gas is high is because of Democrats that's the main reason the price of gas is high anyway tell me how do we reduce the price of gas immediately because you have an idea yeah and have been some of the Republican governors around the country are picking this up why not temporarily suspend the federal gas tax and state gas taxes which can add as much as 75 cents a gallon to to a price tag that you pay at the pump until we get the price back down to below $4 gallon there's also all of these left wing requirements that you put in all these renewable energy stuff like putting corn in your tank with ethanol why not suspend that we estimate if the president would do that tomorrow he'd get a lot of resistance from Democrats we could lower the price of gasoline by 50 cents a gallon and that would provide motorists with a lot of relief why not do that and then when we get the gas price back down then we can reinstate these policies probably get a lot of resistance from farmers - well you know maybe a couple the other Iowa maybe some of the Iowa senators might not like that but it would be temporary and it would basically show Trump is doing all he can now I want to make a related point to this what is the first thing Democrats want to do if they take power they want to repeal the big beautiful bill they call it the big ugly bill they voted against not only did the average family saved $2,500 a year on their taxes but how about the fact that 20 million 20 million small businesses which produced the most jobs in America would face a huge tax increase same with mortgage interest deductions and property tax deductions all were increased for average Americans under the president United States not a single Democrat voted for that to me there's so much good that's been done in the left less than two years by this president and the Republicans in Congress without a single Democrat vote most of the time it's really incredible to me now you also we have discussed off air this change in total wealth by group since 2019 and yeah and what Donald Trump has done about that tell me about that well you know if you count Trump's first term in office and a second term in office the average increase in in 401k plans and retirement plans because remember the stock market's been doing very well has increased by about $50,000 you know what happened under Biden's four years when you come for inflation it lost $24,000 I mean Biden depleted the value of people's retirement funds and incidentally if I may Democrats have a plan they keep talking about how much they love seniors they have a plan in their DSA you know Democrat Socialist of America to to put in place something called Medicare for all so that would bankrupt Medicare seniors should be very afraid of this it will basically run the system will completely run out of money if you do 200 300 million people under Medicare where is the gun money going to come from Medicare will collapse mark if they do this and seniors will lose their health care coverage and seniors who've paid into it for decades yeah American citizens the legal aliens who come across the border don't get Medicare for all people who who've never contributed to Medicare they'll get Medicare for all so in other words they're going to turn it into a massive welfare program that's right and you're right it'll collapse because it's already supposed to collapse and so they'll push this over the cliff even faster seniors should be as you point out very very worried about this plan that the Democrats have Steve Moore final words it's a strong economy Trump is pushing all the right buttons I think in his next two years we're gonna see one of the biggest booms he ever saw hundreds of billions of dollars money coming into the US economy to create jobs every country in the world you may not hear this from the press every country in the world would love to have the American economy that we have under Donald Trump and I believe he's launched the fourth Industrial Revolution I agree I data centers yeah and all these other spectacular things going on the only thing that can kill this is if the Democrats take the After a devastating four years under Biden and Harris and a horrific pandemic, President Trump just did what many believe was impossible. Look at this new numbers, U.S. Census Bureau, America's poverty rate is now at an all-time historic low. Get this, minorities in America, they saw the biggest drop in poverty, including Native Americans, African Americans, Hispanic Americans. Look at this, household income for African Americans saw the single largest gain relative to any other group, but income, every major group went up in America. In fact, another record, U.S. household income, look at this, adjusted for inflation, is now higher than at any point since 1967, and America is not slowing down. Look at this, the Atlanta Fed, often very accurate, now projecting a whopping 5.1% GDP growth in the third quarter. Wow, that would be double the average growth under four years of Biden and Harris. The recession, affordability, lie crisis that Democrats have been peddling and predicting from the moment Donald Trump was sworn in. Nope, never happened, thank God. Instead, America is back, America is booming, the stock market is breaking records, 401(k)s for Americans, their retirement money have recovered from the losses. Look at the losses in the middle, that would be Joe Biden. And just this week, unemployment claims, they always say unexpectedly, not unexpected. This is what happens when you invest in all these, let's see, semiconductor plants and pharmaceutical plants and are starting to build automobiles again in America. So when you do hear doom and gloom from far left radicalized Democrats, and of course, they're press agents known as the legacy media mob, especially as this midterm approaches, just know straight up, they are lying to you. Now, that's not to say everything's perfect, it is not, but the Democrats want to shred your constitution, our constitution, open our borders, and take a wrecking ball to our way of life in search of their socialist new Green Deal utopia. This must be stopped by every right minded American at the ballot box in November. That is happening in 47 days. In the end, we will get the government we deserve. Sean, these are phenomenal numbers, blockbuster numbers, almost all the numbers you just recited come from the gold standard of our statistics. The Census Bureau. I've been covering this stuff for 30 years. Every time these numbers come out, it's almost always, you know, New York Times, Washington Post, CNN cover this, you know what, they didn't cover it this year, even though the numbers, maybe it's because the numbers were so phenomenal, but you know, you just covered some of the highest income gains ever, ever last year. Now these are through 2025, but the median income in the United States has risen to $87,600. In most countries, that would be rich. You were, by the way, the lowest income Americans had the biggest percentage gains, which conflicts with what liberals have been saying about Trump. How about the fact, as you just said, poverty, you know, we've been trying to fight poverty in this country for 50 years. Donald Trump has brought the poverty rate down to the lowest level in history. Thank you, Donald Trump. And by the way, for children, for blacks, for Hispanics, for Asians, how about this one? You didn't mention this one, Sean. The gap between men and women earnings, which is something that liberals have been talking about a long time, that gap shrunk to the lowest level ever in the United States. Thank you, Donald Trump. I mean, it can go on with these statistics. The fact that we have a manufacturing boom going on, we have a construction boom going on. We have a blue collar boom going on. We have practically more jobs available today than workers available to fill them. Just, it's an amazing thing. And why is it, Sean, that this incredible report, it should have been headlines in every newspaper. And you're the first major person in the media to cover this amazing story. Well, it really is sad because that's their job. And unfortunately, they like to put, let's say, waste on the scales of election because they all have an agenda. Crooked Joe Biden got us into a real mess with Russia and everything else he did, frankly, but he didn't know about it. And he, generally speaking, signed it with auto pen. Well, it's a question we've thought a lot about. We're doing a complete review of every single aspect of what happened with the botched withdrawal of Afghanistan and plan to have full accountability. It's one of the first things we announced at the Defense Department for that reason, sir. Certainly, General Raisin Kain, who's on his way in, was not a part of that. Instead, was a part of leading the effort against ISIS by untying the hands of war fighters and finishing the job properly and then bringing our troops home. So we're taking a very different view, obviously, from the previous administration. And there will be full accountability. I don't see big promotions in that group. I think they're going to be largely gone. I know the man on my left. I think they're going to be largely gone. That was a horrible display. And I've dealt with the parents and the family of the 13 that were killed. Joe Biden may be in the White House, but he's still in the basement, absolutely. I don't know if it's technically downstairs or upstairs, but he is in hiding just like he was in 2020. Remember that? COVID was the big excuse. Joe got to stay in the basement, one or two media appearances max a week, never really on the campaign trail because he was a gaffe-prone machine. Anything could happen. They exploited, to the hilt, COVID. It protected Joe Biden. And the cases against Donald Trump are their protection for Joe Biden. It's like the new basement. The cases against Trump, if you've been watching this show, you know and I know that everything that's happening to him is a crime. These are fraudulent prosecutions, no doubt in the world. However, I was a little bit naive because I would seize these cases and read the indictments and just drill down and prove how that's false and how they're railroading him. But I just joined in to the noise. Granted, most of the noise was, on the other side, disagreeing with me, but altogether it sounds kind of like this. (indistinct chatter) All right, that's enough, that's enough, that's enough. All day long, it's about Trump. Today especially, tomorrow, yesterday, that's it. These criminal cases. And what does that mean for Joe Biden? You know, this should be a referendum on Joe Biden's presidency, but somehow it's not. Joe Biden lost a war in Afghanistan. We all saw it. Is anyone talking about that? This is his legacy. How often is he confronted with new fresh questions about Afghanistan? Virtually never. How about inflation? We're still in the grips of it. I mean, I buy lunch, I eat out, it is insane. I'm making tuna fish sandwiches from home now and peanut butter and jelly. My wife actually makes them. I'm not gonna buy lunch out, nobody is. The Ukraine invasion, everybody knows. 61% of the American people believe that this would not be happening if Donald Trump were still president. And what about the border? That's Joe Biden, all right? That's him. And for every indictment, for every case, for every hearing, for every motion, we're not talking about this. We're not talking about the transgender mess that has been encouraged and embraced by Joe Biden, the sexualization of children. The moment in America has been designed, really, to protect Joe and hurt Donald Trump. I don't agree with everything that Chris Christie says. Remember Chris Christie? But he kinda nailed it when, a few months ago, he predicted that Joe Biden could not really sustain a presidential campaign. You see Joe Biden on Air Force One doing seven, eight campaign stops a day at 82 years old and being effective. Can you imagine how many gaffes they're gonna be in those speeches? How many mistakes? How many outright falsehoods they'll be? Not because of any other reason, they're just making it up. Look, he's not-- - I know, I know. - John, look, he's not capable of running a traditional American race. - He's totally right. COVID kept him off the campaign trail in 2020, and now Donald Trump's indictments and these phony cases against him, well, the scrutiny is off of Joe Biden. And, you know, it's quite apparent now that Trump is not going to get convicted in any serious way, at least before the election. And I thought, great, okay. Then he's, this has worked to his favor and he's enhanced in the polls, but they still have kind of dirtied him up, right? I mean, if you falsely accuse somebody, you kind of dirty them up. You also rough them up, literally arresting somebody, tide them up, take them off the campaign trail. Even if they don't get a conviction, some of this plan has already worked for them, but it does also look like it's backfiring, doesn't it? And some of the other things that Joe Biden has gotten away with, I mean, this is the documents, the classified documents in his garage. Can anybody believe that this happened and we're just going to pretend it didn't? We're just going to blow it off? You know, look at that dump of a garage and everybody has kind of a sloppy garage, but that's bad. Where were the documents in Mar-a-Lago? On a stage, and only, by the way, a sliver of these documents. I'm talking about two folders full were actually classified. You know, I've been in that room. I've been in that very room. My interview with Trump from last year was in that very room. You know the security to get into that place? Incredibly intense. I had Secret Service dogs. I had metal detectors, wands, barricades that you had to drive through. You can't just walk in there like you could into Joe Biden's garage, especially when he was an ex vice president before he started running for a president. So he's off the hook. No, he's not. We have to remind everybody just what, forgive me, a hypocrite Joe Biden is. I was going to say something worse. This is the ultimate moment, I believe, in hypocrisy. We all know about the documents, right? The documents that were found in Joe Biden's possession. They tried to make this look worse than it was Donald Trump. They took him out of the boxes, threw him on the floor. Biden actually had him on the floor. And you remember Joe's reaction? - When you saw the photograph of the top secret documents laid out on the floor at Mar-a-Lago, what did you think to yourself, looking at that image? - How that could possibly happen, how it won anyone could be that irresponsible. And I thought, what data was in there that may compromise sources and methods? By that, I mean names of people who helped her, et cetera. And it's just totally irresponsible. - How could this possibly happen? The president of the United States caught in the ultimate moment of hypocrisy and everything's fine. They want us to forget it. They want us to be obsessed with this motion and that indictment and Judge Smith and Judge Engaron and all this nonsense. This guy has so much to defend and he can't explain it. And folks, if you watch this show, I'm the only guy who knows this in the country. It's accessible to everybody, but no one, and I mean no one has reported it, that Joe Biden himself loaded the classified documents into the vehicle at the vice presidential residence himself. Now, a couple of quick things. That is the vice presidential residence. It's called the Naval Observatory and Joe Biden, with his wife, lived there between 2009 and 2017 from the her report. We know that classified documents were all over the place at the Naval Observatory. That wasn't really a big problem. It was kind of a problem, but this is where it gets really, really bad. When it's time for Joe to move out, when he's no longer gonna be the vice president, Georgetown movers show up, the moving company, they actually had a work order that said Joe Biden didn't want anybody packing certain boxes. He wanted to do it himself, and he was loading those boxes onto the truck, okay? Now the her committee, the her investigators, are basically saying that Joe was loading classified documents onto that truck. It's just logical. And they cited one military aide recalled seeing him, Joe Biden, packing by himself, and just him moving his stuff one at a time into the truck. This is really, really bad for Joe Biden, but it's almost like it never happened. We're worried about checks that Donald Trump wrote himself to his own attorney in 2016. You're allowed to do it. It's not like he stole money from anybody, it was his money. What really bothers me about this also is that it wasn't picked up by members of Congress. I mean, they could have had a field day with this, right? No, I mean, I don't know, some staffer picked out what they thought was important. I think what we just saw is pretty damn important and devastating for Joe Biden. So many members of Congress, well, they're just not into the job. They all want something else. And this guy, Congressman Mike Gallagher, Republican of Wisconsin, for just a few more days, you know, he's quitting on April 19th. Too late, apparently, for them to have a special election where they could possibly get another conservative in there. So with his leaving, Republicans are down to a one vote majority. And I think this is a total betrayal and a dereliction of duty, especially for a guy who talks about duty on our country all the time. His last election, he first got elected in '16, but in November of 2022, look at that. He slaughtered, 223,000 people came out and voted for Mike Gallagher for a two year term. That's how long these things last, two years, 24 months. But he's quitting with eight months to go. That is one third, I believe, of the work he has, of the work that 223,000 people voted for him to do. Now, why is he leaving? Well, he's complaining about a couple of things. Number one, he says Congress has now become, let's see, Congress is devolving into a green room for cable news shows and social media stardom. That guy does a lot of cable TV, by the way, but that's okay. Here's what it looks like he's really leading for, a job at Palantir. There's some sort of tech company. One report says he's gonna work as an advisor to the CEO, Alex Karp. Now, I don't know much about this company, but take a look at the money Alex Karp pays himself. I have a feeling if you're in his orbit, you're going to do very, very well, don't you? I guess that's an offer too good to refuse, right? You just blow off your constituents, even blow off the country. I could take it from certain individuals leaving, but from this guy, Mike Gallagher, and his self-righteous prognostications about how good he is, check it out. My family first came to Northeast Wisconsin seven generations ago in 1845. Family taught me the value of hard work, of service to community, of service to country. These things are so nauseating and canned, aren't they? You know, most families are yelling and screaming about getting the homework done. Give me a break, all of it. It is, but I guess people fall for this schmaltzy stuff, don't we? Next. I felt I owed an enormous debt of gratitude to my family, to this community in Northeast Wisconsin, to everyone that helped raise me and all the experiences I had. And I wanted to pay back a debt I felt I owed. And I just felt that if I look back and I didn't do my part, that I would regret it. We need people who will step up and serve. We need leaders. We need leaders who are ready to fight every single day to protect our rights, to protect what makes us great as a country. - It's really intense about walking that woman down the sidewalk, right with me, man. Every single day, except the last 200 days of the term, right? - And I will work harder than anyone else in defense of our constitution on behalf of this community and on behalf of your families, our state, and our country. And you will know beyond a shadow of a doubt that your congressman is ready to fight every single day for this country and for Wisconsin's future. - Beyond a shadow of a doubt, he will fight every single day for Wisconsin and the country. Nope, he's out of there to make a gazillion dollars. And that's unfortunately what almost all of them are there for. We don't know too much about what these guys make because they're private citizens, but sometimes we get very interesting windows. Tom Daschle, he was Senate Minority Leader for a while, I think Majority Leader too. He got beat when he ran for reelection a while back. And then he wanted the cabinet job under Obama, and he had to release everything. In four years, this guy, it was like he was in one of those booths with the money flying all over the round. Let's take a look at his, yeah. He needed to open a whole mess of bank accounts to squirrel away all of this money. That's crazy money. And what was his skill? What could he do? I guess it could get things done in Washington. Paul Ryan, the man who lost a talking contest with Joe Biden, he's on a million different boards. Those are all part-time jobs. Imagine getting this much money on the Fox board, $335,000 for a job where he has to work a couple of days a year. We gave him that stuff. Hey, I'll say this for Daschle and Ryan though, they finished out their terms. You know who else didn't besides Gallagher? Boehner. Remember him, when he couldn't be Speaker anymore, he just left. So, Mike Gallagher, I do not think he has any future ever again in politics. Too bad. He was actually a pretty sharp guy, but he betrayed his constituents and I believe really let down the country. So, remember this though, overall, the stuff that's happening to Trump. Total side show, one of the benefits the Democrats think they're getting is that Joe is protected from the scrutiny that is due an incumbent president.
