A templated endorsement in a pre-election batch

This is one of at least five candidate endorsements posted on November 2, the day before the midterm vote, alongside endorsements in Alaska and Texas and a notice of two Texas tele-rallies at 6:15 and 7:00pm ET. The post went up at 22:56 UTC, which is 5:56pm Eastern (standard time resumed November 1). The historian record places Trump's closing tele-rallies at Mar-a-Lago, so the post landed about twenty minutes before the first Texas call. It reads as a pre-call push to the same state audience.

Who wrote it

The text follows the endorsement template the campaign has run since 2022, nearly word for word. The policy list ("Grow our Economy, Cut Taxes and Regulations, Champion American Energy DOMINANCE, Promote MADE IN THE U.S.A. ... Protect our always under siege Second Amendment") appears in almost the same order in the Jon Bonck endorsement posted the same day. The closer "has my Complete and Total Endorsement" and the sign-off "President DONALD J. TRUMP" match the Alaska slate post. Other aide markers:

• precise credentials: "D.D.S," the exact district number, and the committee chairmanship
• an organizing URL (swampthevoteusa.com/texas/)
• business-hours timing
• no tangent, grievance or self-interruption

Two small features carry his house style without being diagnostic. One is the mid-list editorial asides "our now very Secure Border, SECURE" and "our always under siege Second Amendment". The other is the closing caps line "HE WILL NEVER LET YOU DOWN!" Both are built into the template. The doubled "Secure Border, SECURE" looks like a slogan ("Keep our Border SECURE") with a boast spliced in, not a production error. Nothing in the text points to spontaneous composition.

What the post does psychologically

The motive is transactional and agentic. Endorsing a safe incumbent banks loyalty and puts the endorser's name beside expected wins on election night. Status goes to the endorsee through superlatives ("incredible Representative," "Highly Respected Chairman"), and a share of it comes back to the endorser: his "Complete and Total Endorsement" is presented as the asset that matters. The underlying view of loyal allies is purely idealizing ("HE WILL NEVER LET YOU DOWN!"). That fits the splitting pattern, in which allies are all good and opponents all bad, though only the good half shows here. Unlike the Wilson endorsement posted the same day, which attacked a "Radical Left Dumocrat," this post names no opponent. There is no adversary to devalue, so the contrasting other appears only in the implied threat behind "always under siege."

The insertion "now very Secure Border" is self-credit slipped into someone else's endorsement. The border is secure now, meaning under him. It is the one grandiose self-reference in an otherwise other-directed text. "Always under siege Second Amendment" supplies a standing threat without naming who is besieging it, which keeps a background sense of grievance alive with no target to act on.

Narratively the endorser is the kingmaker, the King archetype in benevolent mode handing out legitimacy. On the order-chaos axis the post is pure order restoration ("Keep ... SECURE," "Strongly Support Law Enforcement and our Military"). The post contains no rage, dehumanization or mobilization against a person, and its only call to action is to vote. The text is too formulaic to say anything about cognition.

Claims

The factual content is mostly accurate. Babin represents TX-36, is a dentist, and has chaired the House Science, Space, and Technology Committee since January 2025. The border claim is an evaluation resting on real data: southwest border encounters fell to multi-decade lows during 2025, and "very Secure" is the editorial gloss on that. The Second Amendment line is opinion, with no specific legislative threat attached.
