Sixth template endorsement of the afternoon, with a stronger attack in the video

The text is the fixed endorsement formula used for every candidate that day: "[Name] has my Complete and Total Endorsement to be the next U.S. Representative from Texas' 34th Congressional District — HE WILL NEVER LET YOU DOWN! President DONALD J. TRUMP." Pete Ricketts, Jon Husted, Stacy Garrity, Monica De La Cruz and Tano Tijerina got the same sentence the same day, with only the name, office and pronoun changed. There are three Texas House seats in this batch (TX-15, TX-28, TX-34), all in the Rio Grande Valley and South Texas. That grouping follows the midterm target map for Hispanic-majority districts the GOP has been working to flip since 2022. The written text is a campaign-office product with nothing personal in it.

Who wrote it

The post went up at 18:29 UTC. With Trump back from Ireland and in the run-up to Xi's September 24 state visit, that is about 2:29 p.m. Eastern, inside the working day. The sign-off "President DONALD J. TRUMP" is third-person, the district name is spelled out exactly, the punctuation is clean, and the only capitals are the stock tagline. These are the marks of a staff-run endorsement queue releasing a list of names in sequence.

The video is different. It is a first-person direct address ("I'm asking you to go vote for Eric Flores"), which is the standard format for Trump's recorded endorsement messages, and the second half moves into his spoken register. The prepared part reads like a script, with a résumé ("Army infantry officer and a former federal prosecutor who took on the cartels and won") and a bundle of policy items ("stand up for our great farmers and ranchers, vote to rebuild roads and bridges"). Then it turns into repetitive attack lines: "He's really bad news," "He is a total disgrace," "He's a disaster," "He's a fantastic person, a great man." The text is aide-produced. The recording is most likely his own voice reading a script and adding his own lines, but that attribution rests on format and style, not on anything the speaker says about himself.

What the video adds

The written post only praises Flores. The video spends about half its length on the opponent. Vicente Gonzalez is "a total disaster and a puppet for the radical left communists," and the charge list ends with "child sexual mutilization and men playing in women's sports." The split is total. One candidate is "a true American patriot" who "fights with courage, honor, and conviction." The other is "a total disgrace." That is idealization and devaluation in the same clip, with nothing between them.

The line to note is "He shouldn't be allowed to run. He shouldn't be on the ticket." It moves from "vote against him" to saying the opponent's candidacy should not exist at all. There is no legal or procedural basis given. It works as a delegitimizing flourish, and similar lines recur in his remarks about Democratic opponents and prosecutors. It does not call for any action beyond voting ("go vote to defeat Vicente Gonzalez"), and there is no violent or dehumanizing imagery. "Puppet for the radical left communists" is a standard contempt label from his campaign vocabulary, and the clip's hostility stays at that level.

The video also promotes the "Save America Act to defend our sacred American elections." That ties a local House race to his national election-integrity story, so the endorsement doubles as a loyalty test: support for the bill is listed as a condition of the candidate's worth.

Accuracy of the attack lines

The voting-record charges are only partly accurate. "No tax on tips" and "no tax on overtime" were enacted inside the 2025 reconciliation package, which every House Democrat, Gonzalez included, voted against. Describing that as a vote against each provision takes one omnibus vote and presents it as several targeted refusals. The Social Security item refers to a temporary added deduction for seniors; the tax on benefits remains in place. The women's-sports charge runs against the record: in January 2025 Gonzalez was one of two House Democrats, with Henry Cuellar, who voted for the Protection of Women and Girls in Sports Act. So the clip attributes to him the opposite of a vote he actually cast. The error came either from the script's research or from an ad-lib, and the clip does not show which. Either way it went out under Trump's name.

Motive and self-positioning

The drive here is agency through patronage. He takes the role of kingmaker, whose "Complete and Total Endorsement" is presented as the thing that confers legitimacy, and the promise that the candidate "will never let you down" puts loyalty to the voter and loyalty to the endorser in the same sentence. The day's pattern is volume: six-plus identical endorsements in one afternoon read as the midterm operation running a list, and nothing in the batch points to a triggering injury.

The spoken text has repetition typical of his ad-libs ("He's a disaster," "total disaster," "total disgrace"), which matches his long-standing spoken style of circling back to the same insult. "Mutilization" is a form he has used in past remarks, though here the transcriber may have produced it. "This is November" is most likely a transcription error for an opening self-identification. Neither is strong enough to support a cognitive reading.
