Do you ever stop to wonder how they came to think this way? One of the things that brought me into starting my PhD program was finally coming to the realization that we were never really going to be able to tackle white supremacy in the way that we need to without reparations. Our ability to quantify racism, I think, is so critical, and I think we've been missing that and understanding it beyond just the general gap of race. The reparations obsession. From a woman who was born in Ethiopia and whose family was allowed to come here courtesy of America's good will, a diversity visa, Malak Kiroz is a Democrat's great socialist hope in Colorado, is a typical lefty, over-educated and entitled, and anti-American malcontent. But there are countless more like her. Their corrosive world view is shaped by a number of inputs. We've got to get to the bottom of all of it. Of course, the parents in some cases, the schools, social media, and yes, cultural institutions that feed and reinforce their resentment toward all things American. And this week, the Trump administration is blowing the lid off one of the worst, the Smithsonian's National Museum of American History. Now it's a museum led now by this woman, Anthea Hardig, with the help of top staff such as Patti Arteaga. They've taken our nation's most important museum for American history and turned it into a crusade for restorative history. Our new mission statement, empowering people to create a more just and compassionate future by exploring, preserving, and sharing the complexity of our past. As we all know in this conference, loving America is very complicated. I'm here representing the Undocumented Organizing Collecting Initiative, but chronicling the past 20 years of people without citizenship, coming out of the shadows, mobilizing and influencing legislation and becoming their own political force in the 21st century. So the Smithsonian has been woke for years, but now you see this from this hokey video. Now it's just gone a step further by launching its Let's Stand Together to Do Better campaign. Don't you love that title? To train a new generation of activists. If we want to change the biases in our world, we need to face them. We need to stand up together and face the injustices. There is no shame in wanting a better world for all and for our future. And we will not be alone in standing up. Whether we join with our neighbors to paint over symbols of hate, or we come together to peacefully protest police violence, there is a community of allies that we join when we finally choose to stand up. Oh my God, it's just all so tedious. Now sure, there's still the ruby slippers and the first Macintosh computer and the first telephone in the exhibits, but the museum's political undercurrent is part BLM, part anti-ICE, with a little DSA, trans and NEA thrown in for good measure. It's kind of an amalgam of all of it. Now mind you, we the people are funding the Smithsonian about a billion dollars in appropriations. So I gotta say, who voted for this? I didn't. So do the Smithsonian's Board of Regents, do they even know what the museum is being used for? Here's the list of the folks on the Board of Regents. You got the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, J.D. Vance, he's a little busy. Okay. You got Senator John Boosman, he's a Republican, a couple of other Republican congressmen and various other people. Now here's what the report from the Domestic Policy Council found, that the Smithsonian presents the Founders through the lens of slavery rather than their contributions, that Christianity is portrayed as a force of oppression, ditto for the pilgrims, natch, and museum leadership thinks our founding should be problematized, emphasizing America's shortcoming and of course reframing instead of celebrating our founding. Its mission statement is removing references to American history and instead focuses on a quote, more just and compassionate future. And exhibits are directed to focus on modern political issues across nearly every topic. The report also found anti-white and anti-oppression programming for staff. Immigration exhibits highlight activism surrounding illegal immigration. Gender related exhibits present transgender identity as part of women's and children's history. And by the way, youth exhibits contain material the report argues is inappropriate for children. Oh no, that's never going to happen. So look, our tax dollars are funding a museum that fails to provide a balanced view of American history. There's bad stuff but there's a lot of good stuff. And instead it devotes itself to left wing activism. That's obvious the goal. Now it's designed to encourage the dismantling of American norms and culture over time. And now we're onto them. No one, no, I was watching this today, the New York Times, I think they had like five articles on this today. No wonder they're so upset and so many media outlets are out there running interference for the Smithsonian today. Haberman Swan on their book tour had time to write a piece claiming that Trump is the one trying to impose his own view of American history on the museum. All right. Of course that's what they're going to say. It's absurd. Trump didn't politicize the museum. The museum's directors and staff did. Look, here's the bottom line. The liberal establishment believes that the Smithsonian is theirs to use as a vehicle for advancing anti-American agendas. They believe that when Americans come to visit their nation's capital or when foreigners come to visit DC, they should be confronted with evidence that's built on America's racism, xenophobia, and of course overall greed. It's the kind of stuff that shallow celebrities spout to try to sound smart. I think him forcing us and firing and taking the names off boats of important Latino history heroes and history and all that erasure on women and black folk. The museums, the Smithsonian. Yeah. Erasing our history. Completely taking it out. And since that's the real history, right, we should all be ashamed and we should be ready to make amends, meaning they're coming to take your money and maybe even your property and then just give it to a bunch of their friends. That's what they want. And that's what they'll do unless we the people get involved and demand that our congressmen and our senators stop funding this anti-American madness. And that's the angle. Vince Haley is the director of the White House Domestic Policy Council and it's been given the task of implementing the president's executive order, restoring truth and sanity to American history. Vince, the media jumped on this really fast and they say you all are the ones who are trying to co-opt history, erase the sins of the past and rewrite it in Trumpian terms. To that you say? Well, Laura, it's great to be with you. I mean, the bottom line is that there's no national story at the National Museum of American History. That's what has happened under the ideology that reigns supreme over there. This was not hard to write in a sense because it's all out in the open. The statements of the leadership, their interpretive guidelines, it's very clearly designed. And the key that opened up to me was this word that you touched upon, problematize. When the director said five years ago in the run up to the 250, we need to problematize the 250 in the Declaration of Independence, I was like, what in the world? Who uses that kind of language? Well, that's academic jargon. You take a received narrative, you poke holes in it and you talk about power relationships, who's oppressed, who's the oppressor and you find fault. And at the end of the day, what you wind up with is no American history at the American History Museum. There's very little on the American founding. There's a little bit on the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. I was over there recently. So there's a little bit of that, but it's very, very heavy on what's wrong with America. It should be called the What's Wrong with America Museum. But again, they have the ruby slippers and the stuff that everyone goes gaga over. But, but the mess, the under, the undercurrent here is unmistakably political. It's unmistakably political. And it's very clear the way that the mission statement was changed from a focus on the infinite richness of American history to creating a just and compassionate future by exploring our past political party. It is. And it's, it's, it's, the words are very clear. They view the Smithsonian and the words of the director as a prime tool of social justice. And that is the mission. And their mission is to create activists to carry out a political program and an ideological program. You asked me this, the thing that I was most surprised about was how much the focus on illegal immigration and legitimizing illegal immigration comes through again and again in their programming. The effect of this kind of ideological capture is to abolish American identity. And the key vehicle and activism that they have to do that is illegal immigration promotion advocacy. They had a, they had a program looking at illegal immigrants. They went to Mexico City to interview people. They lionized somebody who was involved in a legal immigrant group that was involved in defeating a sheriff in an election in North Carolina for the crime of deporting criminal illegal aliens. So this comes through again and again. We are just using the words and the program that they set forth. And we did reach out to the Smithsonian about the report. A spokesperson told us, "For more than 180 years, the Smithsonian has served the American public and a nonpartisan and independent scholarship and remain committed to doing so." The fact of the matter is this Anthea Hardig is very clear in her little webinars that she's done. She did one with University of California Riverside, I believe, where she discussed her 15 favorite exhibits in the museum. I'm going to repost this on my Instagram page so everyone can watch it. Overwhelmingly, they were negative portrayals of America. I mean, okay, a couple of things, fine. But it's like the Statue of Liberty with a basket of tomatoes about the illegal immigrants. It was, you know, the internment camps. Very little to make people walk away from that museum thinking, "Thank God I'm in this country and not in a gulag in China, or not in an internment camp somewhere else." But it's very, very, very clear when you're there, especially with young people. A lot of superintendents okay school trips to the Smithsonian. And it's an important school trip for kids. No, it's absolutely important. I mean, look, when President Lyndon Johnson dedicated the museum, he said it should focus on the victory of freedom and the genius of our country. You don't find that today. This is on the shortcomings of the country. This is designed in this way to problematize your understanding of American heroes and Americans founding. The Board of Regents, they're not paying attention? I don't think anybody has quite put together the statements, the LG, the interpretive plan. They actually have a woke mandate in their interpretive plan. They say that everything, whatever the topic, has to be brought back to clear ideological categories, race and gender, sexuality, income inequality, climate change. I could do two hours on this. To the people of Texas, I am headed your way, and one of the people that I am going to pay respect to today is Tano Tijerina. Out of love and passion, he is running against a Dumocrat, Henry Cuellar, who, along with his wife, I pardoned, at the request of his daughters, because they said, “Please don’t let them take our parents away!” They would have gone to jail on federal fraud and conspiracy charges, for over 20 years and, in fact, Henry Cuellar’s brother, a Sheriff, a short time later, was indicted on the same charges. In any event, I did the pardons, and made no deal, where a crooked politician would have, but I thought there would be a good chance that Cuellar, who was persecuted by Democrats because they didn’t like him, would have routinely gone over to the Republican Party — The people that saved him from years in prison. Shockingly, Cuellar announced, only a few days later, that he is going to remain a Dumocrat. Many considered this to be a tremendous act of disloyalty, and certainly, showed him to be an extremely ungrateful person. His wife, as I heard, wanted him to turn to the man and the Party that helped him, but he wouldn’t do it so, because they’re vicious, the Dumocrats will have a chance to go after him again. In any event, the man running against him, Tano Tijerina, is a STAR and, hopefully, will WIN! We call that payback for a disloyal and ungrateful person, a person whose life has been saved only to go back into the clutches of the people that tried so hard to destroy him. Henry Cuellar is a LOSER who, right now, should be serving a longterm jail sentence with his wife in a top level penitentiary. Tano, a legendary Baseball Star, Great Athlete, respected County Judge, and fine person, will hopefully beat Cuellar so that people can show how bad it is when you are recognized and humiliated as being one of the most disloyal political people on Earth! I only wish Henry Cuellar’s daughters, who begged for his survival, would have used the same level of charm to convince their mother and father to do the right thing. I am very proud of the fact that I didn’t make a deal with Cuellar, which I easily could have, but relied on his character, which turned out to be a faulty one. Today I'm calling on Congress to pass legislation to address fraud in Medicare, Medicaid, and Social Security programs. First Congress must oppose mandatory minimum sentences on fraudsters who steal from critical benefit programs designed to take care of the sick, feed the hungry, care for our children, and protect our senior citizens' retirements. After our proposal, probation is no longer an option for the fraudsters. If you steal from the American people, you will go to prison and for a long period of time. 250th anniversary, you've heard a lot about this, of our founding in Philadelphia, the Continental Congress. The second Continental Congress met, and they came up with a declaration, the Declaration of Independence. What is this all about? You know, we celebrate it. What is it all about? Let me ask you a question. If our country was about to be defeated by a communist regime, would you be concerned about that? I would. I think we all would. We have an entire military build-up to try and ensure that that doesn't happen. Would you be concerned if some Islamist regime, either the Iranian regime or some other regime, was seeking to destroy us both directly with nuclear missiles and infiltrate our country with terrorists and so forth? Of course you would be concerned. I would be concerned. What if I told you that is exactly what's happening right now in the United States? The enemy within, these Marxist communists and these Islamists. What if I were to tell you in our 250th anniversary of the founding of our nation, they believe they're on the precipice of a grand victory, where they intend to take over the House of Representatives, which they hate, and the United States Senate, which they want to abolish, and to control the Supreme Court, which they want to pack and destroy its independence and create a Democrat Party Politburo, and change the election procedures, get rid of the electoral college in only 12 to 14 blue states and really blue metropolitan areas, are heard when it comes to national elections, three fourths of the states, and many of you, you may vote, but it won't matter? What if I were to tell you that they want to deconstruct the Constitution in order to ram through their agenda? They want to eliminate the filibuster in the Senate, which kind of destroys the whole purpose of the Senate, doesn't it? And turn it into one big majority rule, single vote, a single election, where they can change the nation forever and destroy our constitutional republic. Do you realize that's what's on the ballot? Do you realize that is what's on the ballot in November? Now, let me be very clear about something. If you read these Washington DC pundits and operators and listen to some of the podcasts, they will tell you about the incompetence of the Republican Party. They will tell you about the incompetence of the messaging and so forth and so on. I'm not here to discuss that. I'm here to discuss us, we, the people, you, Mr. and Mrs. America. This constitutional system was set up to represent you and me. It's the consent of the government. It's right there in the Declaration of Independence as well. That's why we had a revolution, among other reasons. And so I want to talk about this with you. Part of the problem we have is that Marxism comes down to a skinny little book like this, even though Marx wrote many things with Engels and so forth, it comes down to the Little Communist Manifesto, which was written by Marx and Engels in plain English, plain German, plain Italian and every other language they can think of to promote what? A civilizational revolution. Not a nation state revolution, a global revolution. Just like this guy, the Ayatollah Khomeini. They're not interested in Iran only. This is a civilizational revolution. They want to conquer the entire world. They want to conquer the entire world. And they're busy conquering many, many areas of the world, especially Europe right now. But Europe is not the United States of America. Do we know why Europe is not the United States of America? Because of how this nation was established and the basis for its founding. You know what the basis for the nation's founding is? We talk about the Judeo-Christian belief system. That's this. The Holy Scripture. It's true. In fact, every one of the prominent founders, every single one of them who was in that Second Continental Congress in Philadelphia, they spoke about what? The Hebrew Bible. What's the Hebrew Bible? For Christians, that would be the Old Testament. For Jews, that would be the Torah. The Hebrew Bible. Madison spent a year at what is now Princeton studying, even memorizing, the Hebrew Bible. Adams, John Adams, references the Hebrew Bible over and over and over again. Jefferson the same. Washington the same. Why did they do that? Why did they do that? If you read the New Testament, there is constant references to the Old Testament. There's constant references to what we call today Israel and the Holy Land. There's constant references, of course, to Jesus, who was Jewish. The apostles, who were Jewish. The prophets, who were Jewish. The Christian majority, and let me be clear, at America's founding, the Christian majority was the overwhelming, overwhelming faith, overwhelming faith of the colonists and the founders. But for the Christian majority, and but for those Christian founders who were in Philadelphia at the Second Continental Congress, who were in Philadelphia at the Constitutional Convention, what we talk about, the Judeo-Christian values and belief systems would never have been established as the basis for the founding of the United States of America. And there was one other element, the Enlightenment. The Enlightenment. Now, how do we know that the Enlightenment played such a big part as well? No other than Thomas Jefferson, in a letter to Henry Lee in 1825, now they're aiming at originality of principles, he's talking about the Declaration, or a sentiment, nor yet copied from any particular and previous writing. It was intended, the Declaration, to be an expression of the American mind, and to give to that expression the proper tone and spirit called for by the occasion. All its authority rests then on the harmonizing sentiments of the day, whether expressed in conversation, in letters, printed essays, or in the elementary books of public right, as Aristotle, Cicero, Locke, Sidney, etc. Locke, second treatise on government, Montesquieu, the spirit of laws, he was the most important of the Enlightenment philosophers during the Constitutional period, Cicero, who'd been a senator in Rome, and he was killed for his thoughts, daring to challenge the emperor. All we have to do is basically ban fossil fuels and solar and wind will just take over because of this magical like how Al Gore always says like, yeah, there'll be an explosion of technology. Same thing they did with cars. They wanted to ban the gas powered car and they thought EVs would just overtake. EVs never got higher than 7%. And even the Toyota CEO said, I think we're about at max, you know, max. So what we're seeing is the implosion of the whole, as you said, climate hoax. How much of this has to do with president Trump? I don't think he gets enough credit for having destroyed this movement. We have to say this in the last 50 years, this was FDR Ronald Reagan style action. Just look at what Donald Trump did on the climate event over 300 actions as president to unleash American energy. And here's the key thing that Donald Trump did. Permanence. He's pulling us out of the 1992 Rio earth summit treaty that George H. W. Bush got us into. That's unprecedented. percent like these are all connected and they're all sequenced for a reason and so the president is not only increasing America's energy output right this is critical for two reasons it keeps Moscow in check it limits the access they have to export revenue they're a gas station with nuclear weapons but they're dependent upon that revenue and he has cut it and so while the Europeans have given him 13 billion dollars in natural gas revenue by purchasing Russian gas the year before President Trump came in office he's cut their GDP growth from four to one percent he's also limiting China who is dependent upon external resources like gas and oil to further their ambitions and now he has controlled both actions in Venezuela actions in Iran hold them to account and increasing our export revenue gives the United States the dominant position in global energy market it fuels both of our adversaries or it constrains them and it allows for America to be prosperous and self-sufficient and all of that is linked all of it is completely logical and all of it is yielding tremendous results you know there's people and there's some people on the right but a lot on the left that are just complaining you know this is not going well this is an unpopular president blah blah blah did they understand the strategic calculation the administration's making or are they just trying to exploit the high gas prices for political purposes yeah I think there you're exactly right I think there are two reasons first is of course they can't stand the fact that he's having success and it's demonstrable it's visible and it's difficult to conceal where they have failed and I think if they recognize their own failures I think it's unlikely that they would have gotten themselves in this predicament I'm not sure they understand exactly why things went wrong or how to fix it and in the end what the actions he's taken have been decisive and again the the prices we're experiencing now for two months at high gas prices and confronting Iran is necessary and it's temporary under both Biden and Obama they went years with gas prices well over a hundred dollars a barrel and I don't remember the complaints nearly as much as they are now after two months so it's hardly a comparison and when it comes to Iran the president reminded us all he is the apex predator here and he's playing with his supper and at some point time he's gonna eat it I don't know when but it's probably when he's hungry playing with his supper is Cuba on the menu next hundred percent and again we want our hemisphere clear we don't want a threat offshore not 90 miles from the United States border it was never acceptable and president Trump may be the first person to correct that since the Eisenhower administration and that's a Here is, at this point in the presidency, for both Joe Biden and President Trump, their second year in office, the first half of that year, January to July, inflation. Overall inflation was 12% for Joe Biden, 4% for President Trump. Groceries were up 16% for President Biden, a little over 3% for President Trump. Gas was up almost 70% for Biden. That's up about 12% during that timeframe for Trump. New and used cars were up almost 24% for Joe Biden, down under President Trump. But prices aren't the only numbers that matter. It's no secret Americans are feeling about how they're feeling about the high cost of living. But there's also what you make, what you earn. And that has been moving up. Real median household income hit more than $80,000 last year. That's the highest level on record, according to the Census Bureau. On the flip side, that's median household income. There's poverty. Poverty was down another half point last year to just over 10%. That, as you can see, is a historic low. So this reality and how we feel have to be reconciled. But that's hard to do when you see how these two different stories are covered. See if you can spot the difference. Here's The Washington Post in 2022 under Joe Biden. The stunning drop in child poverty is a huge story. This month, as we hit poverty rates that are the lowest in history, here's the headline in The Washington Post. Both poverty rate dropped slightly, but experts fear worse ahead. Let's reconcile how we feel in reality with Heritage Foundation economist EJ Antoni, who joins me now. EJ, it's good to see you. Listen, I know how people feel. We both talk to people, and we see it showing up in polling. But how do we compare and reconcile that with these numbers, which are historically great? They are, Will, but one of the things I think is important, going back to that first chart you showed, where it was the inflation rate difference between Trump and Biden. At the end of the day, consumers don't as much care about the inflation rate, which is the pace at which prices are increasing. What they really care about are the levels of prices. And so any additional price increases that we see under this administration, it's kind of like the straw breaking the camel's back because they are on top of all of the price increases that we had from the previous administration during Biden. And so even though, again, even though things have gotten better under President Trump, in other words, not only are paychecks bigger, but they can buy you more, which is why, as you were saying, real median household income is up, for a lot of Americans, they still have not yet regained all the lost ground that they saw under Biden. So let me just put this into real numbers so that I, and perhaps the audience, understand exactly what you're saying. If your grocery bill went up 15% under Joe Biden, the fact that it's now only going up 3% doesn't inspire a lot of credit. They're still paying 18% more than what they expected to be paying from the inflation baked in during the four years under Biden. And this, even though wages are growing. Exactly. And I think the other thing that has really left a kind of a bad taste in people's mouths, as well, is the fact that during the first year, really the first 14 months of this second Trump administration, we were making tremendous progress. In fact, if you can believe this, the average American's weekly paycheck adjusted for inflation shrunk 4% under Biden from when he entered office to when he left. But during Trump's first year, it went up 2%. In other words, we clawed back half of the losses that we saw under Biden. And again, this is the Average American's weekly paycheck.

The Kennedy Center is in a virtual state of collapse, and has been for many years. It is a Court that will go down as having rendered some of the most destructive, hurtful, and damaging decisions in our Country’s history.
