Post from Truth Social

MAGA Warrior Mike Mazzei is running for Governor in Oklahoma, where I was the ONLY President to win ALL 77 Counties in three straight Elections (Ronald Reagan was second!). Additionally, I won more votes than any Candidate in the State’s History! I LOVE Oklahoma, and Mike Mazzei has my COMPLETE and TOTAL Endorsement for Governor!

Meanwhile, his Runoff Election Opponent, Gentner Drummond, is a FAKE Republican, who donated to SLEEPY Joe Biden, and the totally corrupt and anti-American “Lincoln Project,” which is now in shambles because of their views on Open Borders, Men playing in Women’s Sports, and Transgender Mutilization of your Children. In fact, the Lincoln Project’s top man and founder, John Weaver, sent unsolicited sexually provocative messages to 21 young men, and supposedly, a 14-year-old boy. Another one of their people, Steve Schmidt, a total loser who has gone down in flames, for lots of bad reasons, was one of the biggest proponents of the failed and highly disgraced Lincoln Project. This is what Drummond, and his equally Liberal wife, Wendy, supported at levels that are shameful and, frankly, that makes them both Radical Left Dumocrats. Additionally, he wants to dethrone a magnificent, Job producing, desperately needed, and brand new, Aluminum Plant that will be one of the best projects ever conceived or built, not only in the Great State of Oklahoma, but in the United States, itself. It will be one of the most successful Job creating Plants ever built in our Country. The group that’s doing it is extraordinarily wealthy and, if they don’t do it in Oklahoma, they have 20 other sites that would love to have them. Our Country needs Aluminum, and the beautiful Town of Inola, Oklahoma (which was very nice to me in all three Elections!), will be the primary beneficiary in terms of Jobs, Lower Taxes, and the funding of Schools. In addition, it helps our Country with regards to National Security — You can’t get Aluminum in the United States, and this Plant will go elsewhere if it’s not approved. Oklahoma can lead the way! Very simply, Mike Mazzei is for this desperately needed Job Producing Aluminum Plant. Drummond, for his own reasons, is not — He even SUED, unsuccessfully, to block it. It’s going to be the Biggest Aluminum Plant in the Country, and it’s all financed and done! It is a financial windfall for the State of Oklahoma, including what will be a major reduction in your Taxes!

Gentner Drummond has also stated publicly he had "no opinion" on the BOGUS IMPEACHMENT of a young and very handsome gentleman, named, President Donald J. Trump (ME!). All Republicans feel the opposite on the Dumocrat inspired Impeachment Hoax. Drummond even SUED to BLOCK a religious based charter school strongly supported by my Administration — Very troubling for Educational Freedom, and an outright attack on Christianity!

Drummond is not the right guy. He’s got a bad attitude, and he doesn’t stand for the Values of Oklahoma, which must VOTE FOR “MIKE MAZZEI FOR GOVERNOR,” on Tuesday, August 25th — MIKE WILL NEVER LET YOU DOWN! Thank you for your attention to this matter. President DONALD J. TRUMP

A campaign-eve endorsement whose structure is more revealing than its content. Mazzei receives roughly 25 words of substantive characterization in a ~600-word post; the subject enters his own endorsement by the second clause and holds the frame through three sentences of personal electoral statistics. The persuasive logic is transitive rather than evaluative: the endorsee is qualified by agreement with the subject, the opponent disqualified by insufficient loyalty to him. The diagnostic core is the impeachment paragraph. Drummond's stated "no opinion" on a federal impeachment is offered as a standalone disqualification for a state governorship — an office with no relation to it — followed by "All Republicans feel the opposite." Party identity is thereby defined as a required affective posture toward the subject's six-year-old personal grievance. That the detour is unprompted, in a post with no strategic use for it, indicates a still-cathected injury surfacing without provocation. Predominantly grandiose presentation. Defenses are immature-to-pathological: devaluation, splitting, idealization, and denial ("Impeachment Hoax"). Guilt-by-association chaining transfers John Weaver's documented sexual misconduct onto Drummond via a $1,000 spousal PAC donation, with the most inflammatory element hedged ("supposedly, a 14-year-old boy"). Mild cognitive markers consistent with recent baseline: the neologism "Mutilization," semantic substitution ("dethrone" a factory), heavy superlative perseveration, and an intra-paragraph contradiction ("all financed and done" alongside acknowledgment of an active blocking suit). Slight baseline deviation. No danger indicators.

Danger Assessment

None

Gaslighting Detected:
  • 'BOGUS IMPEACHMENT' / 'Dumocrat inspired Impeachment Hoax' — denial of two documented constitutional processes (2019, 2021)
  • 'it's all financed and done!' — asserted completion of a project under active federal injunction proceedings, contradicted within the same paragraph
  • 'You can't get Aluminum in the United States' — flatly false; the US operates primary smelters and is a major secondary producer
  • 'the Lincoln Project... is now in shambles because of their views on Open Borders, Men playing in Women's Sports, and Transgender Mutilization' — substituted causal story replacing the actual Weaver scandal and governance collapse
  • 'All Republicans feel the opposite' — dissent defined out of existence rather than argued against
  • 'Drummond, for his own reasons, is not' — imputed motive substituted for the opponent's stated environmental and public-health pleadings
Reality Distortions:
  • Claim that the United States cannot produce aluminum
  • Claim that the Inola smelter is 'all financed and done' while it is enjoined and litigated
  • Attribution of the Lincoln Project's 2021 collapse to social-issue positions rather than the Weaver scandal
  • Characterization of two impeachments as a 'Hoax'
  • Universalization of Republican opinion on the impeachment
  • Transfer of a $1,000 spousal PAC donation into endorsement of sexual misconduct ('This is what Drummond... supported at levels that are shameful')
Fact Checks (11)
"Trump was the only President to win all 77 Oklahoma counties in three straight elections, with Reagan second."
Mostly True

Trump carried all 77 Oklahoma counties in 2016, 2020 and 2024. Reagan swept all 77 counties in 1984, and Nixon did so in 1972, but neither contested three consecutive elections in which they swept the state, so the 'three straight' distinction holds as a technical artifact of Trump having been on three ballots. The 'Reagan was second' ranking is unspecified and not independently meaningful.

"Trump won more votes than any candidate in Oklahoma's history."
Mostly True

Trump's Oklahoma totals rose across his three campaigns and exceed prior state records set in earlier presidential cycles, reflecting both his margins and population growth. The record is a raw-vote record, not a share record — his share did not exceed prior Republican highs by a comparable margin.

"Gentner Drummond donated to Joe Biden and to the Lincoln Project."
Half True

FEC records show a $1,000 contribution to Biden's campaign via ActBlue in August 2020 listed under Gentner Drummond's name; the Biden committee refunded that $1,000 on September 8, 2020, and Drummond's campaign says the contribution was actually made by his wife Wendy and misattributed. The $1,000 Lincoln Project contribution in 2020 is recorded as Wendy Drummond's. The post's own text acknowledges the spousal element by naming Wendy, but presents the donations as Drummond's own and omits the refund.

"Lincoln Project founder John Weaver sent unsolicited sexually provocative messages to 21 young men and reportedly a 14-year-old boy."
Mostly True

January 2021 reporting documented that Weaver sent unsolicited sexually explicit messages to numerous young men; a widely cited account identified 21 individuals, one of whom said Weaver's contact began when he was 14. Weaver acknowledged the messages and left the organization. The post's hedge ('supposedly') tracks the contested status of the minor allegation.

"The Lincoln Project is 'in shambles because of their views on Open Borders, Men playing in Women's Sports, and Transgender Mutilization of your Children.'"
Mostly False

The organization's 2021 crisis followed the Weaver revelations, the resulting board resignations, disputes over fundraising and spending, and litigation among principals. Contemporaneous reporting does not attribute its decline to positions on immigration, transgender athletes, or gender-affirming care. The stated causal chain is a substitution.

"Drummond sued, unsuccessfully, to block the Inola aluminum plant."
Mostly True

Oklahoma Attorney General Drummond sued in June 2026 to stop construction of the $4 billion Emirates Global Aluminium / Century Aluminum smelter in Inola, framing it as an anticipated public nuisance over fluoride and other air emissions, water use, and harm to cattle and crops. He filed a motion for preliminary injunction on August 11, 2026 in the Northern District of Oklahoma, ahead of the August 28 expiration of Inola's construction moratorium. As of the post date the suit had not blocked the project, so 'unsuccessfully' is accurate to that moment, though the litigation remained live rather than concluded.

"'You can't get Aluminum in the United States.'"
False

The United States operates primary aluminum smelters and is one of the world's largest producers of secondary (recycled) aluminum. Reporting on the Inola project describes it as roughly doubling US capacity to produce aluminum 'from scratch' — a framing that presupposes existing domestic primary capacity. The defensible underlying point is that US primary smelting capacity has fallen sharply and imports supply most demand; the stated claim overshoots that into falsity.

"The Inola plant is 'all financed and done' and will be the biggest aluminum plant in the country."
Mostly False

The project is under active federal litigation with a pending preliminary-injunction motion and depends on the expiration or extension of a municipal construction moratorium — it is neither built nor legally settled. The scale claim is better supported: at roughly 750,000 metric tons annually across about 633 acres, it would be the largest US primary smelter. 'Done' is contradicted by the post's own acknowledgment of the suit.

"Drummond sued to block a religious charter school supported by the Trump administration."
True

As Oklahoma Attorney General, Drummond challenged the state charter board's approval of St. Isidore of Seville Catholic Virtual School. The Oklahoma Supreme Court ruled against the school in 2024, and the US Supreme Court deadlocked 4-4 in 2025, leaving that ruling in place. Characterizing the suit as 'an outright attack on Christianity' is the post's interpretive framing, not a factual component; Drummond argued from the Establishment Clause and state constitutional grounds.

"Drummond publicly stated he had 'no opinion' on Trump's impeachment, and 'All Republicans feel the opposite.'"
Half True

This is a composite claim: the first half is accurate and verifiable verbatim in the primary record; the second half is demonstrably false and is contradicted by the very same document.

Part one — the 'no opinion' quote — is confirmed. The original Truth Social post (ts_117153496831869958, 2026-08-25T01:14:56Z) reads: 'Gentner Drummond has also stated publicly he had "no opinion" on the BOGUS IMPEACHMENT of a young and very handsome gentleman, named, President Donald J. Trump (ME!). All Republicans feel the opposite on the Dumocrat inspired Impeachment Hoax.' I retrieved the official U.S. Government Publishing Office transcript (CHRG-118hhrg57059) of the hearing 'Havoc in the Heartland: How Secretary Mayorkas' Failed Leadership Has Impacted the States,' held before the House Committee on Homeland Security on January 10, 2024 (Serial No. 118-47), where Oklahoma Attorney General Gentner Drummond testified alongside Montana AG Austin Knudsen and Missouri AG Andrew Bailey in support of impeaching DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas. Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-CA) questioned the witnesses about Trump's own impeachments. The verbatim exchange: Swalwell — 'On January 6th, he incited and aimed a violent mob at the Capitol and 6 police officers would later lose their lives. One lost a finger. One lost an eye. The President was impeached. Ten Republicans voted for that impeachment. Mr. Knudsen, should he have been impeached for that, yes or no?' Knudsen — 'Mr. Chairman and Representative, he was.' Swalwell — 'OK. Mr. Drummond.' Drummond — 'He was impeached for that.' Swalwell — 'But should he have been?' Drummond — 'I don't have an opinion on that issue.' Earlier in the same round, asked whether Trump should have been impeached over the 2019 Ukraine matter, Drummond answered: 'Yes, it's outside my lane. I'm just a simple attorney general from Oklahoma.' Trump's paraphrase of 'no opinion' is therefore a fair and essentially exact rendering of Drummond's words. Note that several news accounts render the quote as 'I don't have an opinion on that matter'; the authoritative GPO transcript says 'on that issue.'

Part two — 'All Republicans feel the opposite' — is false as a factual generalization. It is contradicted within the same transcript passage, where Swalwell states in his question that ten Republicans voted for the January 2021 impeachment, and where the other two Republican attorneys general seated at the witness table likewise declined to say Trump should not have been impeached, deflecting rather than expressing the opposite view (Knudsen: 'he was'; Bailey: 'He was acquitted of those charges'). In the broader record, ten House Republicans voted to impeach Trump for incitement of insurrection on January 13, 2021, and seven Republican senators — Richard Burr, Bill Cassidy, Susan Collins, Lisa Murkowski, Mitt Romney, Ben Sasse and Pat Toomey — voted to convict on February 13, 2021. Romney had also voted to convict on the abuse-of-power article in the first impeachment trial in February 2020. Republican officeholders have therefore held a demonstrable range of positions, and a universal claim that all of them 'feel the opposite' is not supportable.

Added context on framing: an Oklahoma Watch fact-check published August 20, 2026 examined a related attack from School Freedom Fund Oklahoma, a Washington-based super PAC that spent more than $3 million against Drummond and mailed Republican voters claiming he 'refused to defend President Donald Trump from impeachment.' Oklahoma Watch confirmed the hearing exchange but noted Drummond's answer was a refusal to opine on a federal matter he characterized as outside his jurisdiction, and that his office 'has defended Trump-aligned policies in court throughout his tenure.' So while the quotation itself is accurate, the disloyalty inference built on it is contested. The claim earns 'half true' because its specific, checkable attribution to Drummond is correct while the sweeping universal assertion paired with it is false.

"The Oklahoma Republican gubernatorial runoff is on Tuesday, August 25th."
True

August 25, 2026 falls on a Tuesday, consistent with Oklahoma's runoff scheduling, and contemporaneous coverage describes an active Drummond-Mazzei runoff contest.

No contradictions with other posts detected yet.
