A flag hug posted the day after the 250th

The day before, he gave the "Tribute to America" speech at the Lincoln Memorial for the 250th anniversary, an event he had called a "TRUMP RALLY." The feed held several other media-only posts the same day. The most plausible reading is holiday-weekend afterglow: a patriotic image of himself, posted while the anniversary is still in the news.

What publishing it does. The image puts his body and the national symbol in one embrace. "Loves the flag" becomes something you see, and he is the one shown doing the loving. It's affection, but it's also ownership. The flag is literally in his hands, and his public self and the country become one picture. That is status-seeking in the plainest sense.
