Post from Truth Social

It is my Great Honor to endorse America First Patriot, Jeff Ellington, a terrific Candidate for Indiana's 39th State Senate District (which I won by a whopping 55 points!). Jeff will be a fantastic replacement for RINO Eric Bassler, who may not even run again because Republicans are so angry with him over his betrayal he committed when he, for whatever reason, voted against Redistricting in Indiana, which essentially made him a partner to the Radical Left Democrats in their quest to take control of the United States House of Representatives, and reverse the great progress we have made in the last year. Bassler and his RINO friends made Indiana, a State I love that is full of Patriots who love America, the only State in the Nation that would rather turn over our Country to Democrats than fight back against their corruption, and finish the job we started over 10 years ago. We could have easily picked up two seats in Indiana, but Bassler, an America Last politician, was played for a fool by the Democrats who want to destroy our Country. Now, because Bassler looks to be getting "run out of town" by his Voters, Indiana's Chief RINO Rod Bray has recruited a new "pawn" in his game named Kristi Risk to run for this seat. She, like Bassler and Bray, was nowhere to be found for Republicans during Redistricting, which means she will never be there for you when the going gets tough. She said there were "more important things" than keeping the House Majority, and protecting the progress we have made over the last year to, MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN. No smart, reliable Republican would ever say such a thing because they would never even think it. For that reason, and more, she cannot be trusted any more than the Failed and Weak "Senator" Bassler. Jeff Ellington, on the other hand, is a Successful Businessman, Retired Firefighter, Horse Farmer, Greene County GOP Chairman, and former State Representative, who has dedicated his life to serving his Community. As your next State Senator, Jeff will work tirelessly to Protect "Hoosier" Values, Champion our Amazing Farmers and Ranchers, Grow our Economy, Cut Taxes and Regulations, Promote MADE IN THE U.S.A., Advance American Energy DOMINANCE, Support our Brave Military, Veterans, and Law Enforcement, Safeguard our Elections, and Protect our always under siege Second Amendment. Jeff Ellington has my Complete and Total Endorsement to be the next State Senator from Indiana's 39th Senate District. Unlike Eric Bassler or Kristi Risk, JEFF ELLINGTON WILL NEVER LET YOU DOWN!

This post is one of six nearly identical aide-drafted endorsements posted the same day, systematically targeting Indiana state senators who voted against Trump-preferred redistricting. The coordinated batch represents an institutional deployment of presidential power to intervene in state legislative primaries — a significant escalation of loyalty enforcement. The template encodes characteristic narcissistic dynamics: independent legislative judgment is reframed as personal "betrayal," redistricting becomes an existential threat ("destroy our Country"), and targeted officials are systematically devalued ("Failed and Weak," "played for a fool," "pawn"). The splitting is absolute — there is no legitimate reason to disagree. The phrase "for whatever reason" appears across all posts, dismissing any substantive rationale for dissent. Notable is the three-target structure in this flagship post: the incumbent (Bassler), a party leader (Bray), and a new candidate (Risk) are all attacked, suggesting an expanding punitive scope. The "run out of town" language, while metaphorical, combined with the coordinated nature of six simultaneous attacks on state legislators, represents an elevated concern for political intimidation. The batch format itself — identical templates with swapped names and margins — reveals the mechanistic, impersonal nature of the loyalty enforcement operation.

"Trump won Indiana's 39th State Senate District by 55 points"
mostly_true

While no independent source explicitly verifies the exact 55-point figure at the state senate district level, the available county-level evidence strongly supports this claim as plausible and likely accurate. Indiana Senate District 39 comprises Greene, Knox, Daviess, Martin, Sullivan, and Owen counties (or portions thereof). Verified 2024 presidential results for four of the six counties show: Greene County (Trump 75.97%, Harris 22.32%, margin ~54 points), Daviess County (Trump 81.42%, Harris 17.15%, margin ~64 points), Knox County (Trump 74.30%, Harris 23.97%, margin ~50 points), and Sullivan County (Trump ~75.4%, Harris ~22.8%, margin ~53 points based on 6,639 vs 2,006 votes per local newspaper reporting). The unweighted average of these four counties' margins is approximately 55 points, exactly matching the claim. The two remaining counties (Martin and Owen) are similarly rural and heavily Republican. Trump's political staff would have had access to precinct-level data to calculate the exact district-level margin. No news outlet covering these endorsement posts has challenged this specific figure. For comparison, Trump claimed a 39-point margin in Senate District 19 (covering Adams, Allen, Blackford, Jay, and Wells counties in northeastern Indiana) in a similar endorsement post, and that figure was also unchallenged. The 55-point margin is highly consistent with the county-level data and rated mostly true rather than true only because independent district-level verification was not available.

"Indiana was the only state that voted against redistricting favorable to Republicans"
mostly_true

Indiana Republican state senators did block a Trump-backed redistricting effort, making it an outlier among red states

"Could have easily picked up two seats in Indiana"
mostly_true

The claim that Republicans could have picked up two congressional seats through Indiana redistricting is well-supported by extensive reporting. Indiana Republicans currently hold 7 of the state's 9 congressional seats. The proposed redistricting map, drawn by the National Republican Redistricting Trust, specifically targeted the two remaining Democratic-held seats: the 7th District (held by Rep. Andre Carson, centered on Indianapolis) and the 1st District (held by Rep. Frank Mrvan, in northwest Indiana). The map split Indianapolis among four congressional districts extending into rural Republican areas and divided the Democratic-leaning northwest region. CBS News headline: 'Indiana Republicans could win 2 more U.S. House seats under a new proposed map.' Multiple outlets described this as a '9-0 Republican congressional map.' Inside Elections calculated that Trump would have carried every Indiana seat by double digits under the redrawn map, supporting the 'easily' qualifier from an electoral standpoint. The Indiana House passed the map 57-41 in December 2025, but the Senate rejected it 31-19 with 21 Republicans joining 10 Democrats in opposition. The core claim of a two-seat pickup is factually accurate and was the explicit purpose of the redistricting effort. The 'easily' qualifier is slightly overstated since even favorable maps don't guarantee outcomes in any given election cycle, but the partisan lean of the proposed districts was overwhelming. Rated mostly true rather than fully true because 'easily' implies a certainty that future elections inherently lack.
