Post Analysis: ts_111471978272872812 — 2023-11-25

Overview

This post consists entirely of a URL to an article from loomered.com (Laura Loomer's far-right outlet) with the headline: "Biden Has Only Pardoned Turkeys and Terrorists in 2023." No personal commentary is added. The post functions as a signal boost for partisan attack content timed to Thanksgiving weekend, exploiting the annual presidential turkey pardon tradition as a rhetorical bridge.

Authorship Attribution

Assessment: Likely aide-written (medium confidence)

Posted at 10:50 AM EST on Thanksgiving weekend, comfortably within daytime business hours. Trump was almost certainly at Mar-a-Lago for the holiday. The absence of any personal text, capitalization flourishes, or emotional annotation is inconsistent with authentic Trump posting, which characteristically adds commentary, invective, or at minimum an exclamatory suffix. A zero-text link drop during morning hours is a Scavino-pattern post.

Complicating factor: Trump has a documented pattern of sharing Loomer's content personally, suggesting affinity. The chaotic informality of a bare URL could reflect hasty personal posting. However, balance of indicators favors aide authorship.

Rhetorical Analysis

The article title is a tight rhetorical package built on:

• Wordplay / false dichotomy: The Thanksgiving turkey pardon tradition is weaponized to introduce a parallel accusation. "Turkeys and terrorists" is alliterative, meme-ready, and designed for frictionless transmission.
• Implicit whataboutism: Deployed against the backdrop of Trump's active civil fraud trial and gag order proceedings — a redirect from subject's own legal exposure to opponent's alleged moral equivalence.
• Source amplification via fringe outlet: Loomer is a banned-from-major-platforms conspiracy figure. Sharing her content serves as a loyalty/epistemic signal to a specific audience while maintaining deniability ("just sharing an article").

No dehumanizing language or eliminationist rhetoric is present in the shared text. The attack is framed as political mockery, not incitement.

Psychological Analysis

Trigger: Maintenance/displacement. With the civil fraud trial underway and gag order proceedings fresh, this post participates in the established pattern of redirecting audience attention toward Biden. The Thanksgiving context provides a pretext for the turkey pun, lowering the apparent hostility of what is functionally an opposition attack.

Defense mechanisms:

• Displacement: Hostility generated by legal pressure is redirected toward the political opponent via third-party content, maintaining surface-level plausible distance.
• Projection: The criminal/legal framing ("terrorists") is applied to the opponent while subject himself faces multiple criminal indictments and an active civil fraud judgment.

Narcissistic state: Difficult to assess from a zero-text link share. Consistent with low-cost maintenance posting rather than an activated grandiose or vulnerable episode.

Level 3: Narrative Identity

The post contributes to the sustained contamination narrative: Biden's presidency represents a degradation of moral/legal order. The "terrorists" label attempts to invert the moral hierarchy — casting Biden as soft on criminals while Trump faces what his narrative frames as prosecutorial weaponization. The Thanksgiving turkey hook provides culturally resonant framing that does not require the audience to engage with factual substance.
