Analysis: RT with "Thank you, a big night, but others failed us!"

Context

Posted at 4:49 AM UTC on November 23, 2022. Trump was at Mar-a-Lago (EST, UTC-5), making this 11:49 PM local time. This is a repost of content from @OksanaTrump with Trump's added commentary about the midterm results—Republicans won the House narrowly (222-213) but underperformed expectations. Trump-endorsed candidates fared poorly in key races.

Authorship

Late-night timing (11:49 PM EST) at Mar-a-Lago is consistent with authentic Trump posting. The terse, emotionally reactive style with splitting ("a big night" vs "others failed us") is characteristic. The malformed URL (no space before "Thank") suggests hasty composition.

Psychological Analysis

The post is brief but revealing. "A big night" claims credit while "others failed us" externalizes blame for underperformance. This splitting cleanly separates Trump from Republican losses he was widely blamed for. The passive construction "failed us" positions Trump as victim of others' inadequacy rather than contributor to poor outcomes.

Rhetorical Devices

• Splitting: success is his, failure belongs to unnamed "others"
• Vague attribution: "others" left unspecified, allowing audience projection

Defense Mechanisms

Projection and splitting are the primary defenses—the widely reported narrative was that Trump's endorsements dragged down Republican performance, yet here responsibility is displaced onto unnamed others.
