Carroll Trial Triggers Late-Night Rage Spiral as Trump Posts Until 3 AM

Trump started the evening riding high from a New Hampshire rally and a Ted Cruz endorsement, but the E. Jean Carroll defamation trial sent him into a prolonged late-night posting spiral that lasted past 2:30 AM. Nearly half the day's posts were angry, with the most intense being a rambling 1 AM attack on Carroll, her attorneys, and multiple named individuals. He also issued a remarkable demand for absolute presidential immunity — arguing that even acts that "cross the line" should be legally protected. After sleeping through the day of his mother-in-law's funeral, he resumed in the evening with more Carroll-focused attacks before closing with a book plug.

Joining us now, Chris Landau, former law clerk for Justices Thomas and Scalia, former ambassador to Mexico. Chris, what are your thoughts on the integrity of this Georgia prosecution, given what we know about what she's done? Laura, obviously, these allegations against Fannie Willis are extremely serious, and this just shows if you are going to break all historical norms and go after it for the first time in American history, a former president and a current leading candidate for the presidency on criminal charges, you better have your ducks in a row. You better cross all your T's and dot all your I's. So what kind of judgment does this person have who's doing this? This is the person who made this momentous decision to charge the former president, and this person is allegedly hiring their secret lover and then going off on vacations funded by taxpayer dollars. Well, she didn't disclose any of this. I mean, not that that even would have mattered, but at least she would have disclosed it. She didn't disclose any of it, and then she goes to this church and she says she's not playing the race card, but of course, that's exactly what she's doing. No one cares about the color of the skin of her lover, but we do care about the fact that he's being sent to the White House either to deliver a message or get counsel and then get paid for it handsomely. Laura, we're now in the kind of silly phase of this thing, like when the academics a few weeks ago were defending plagiarism and saying it's no big deal when Claudine Gaye was accused of plagiarism, now we're going to see some of our alleged legal experts saying, oh, well, hiring your secret lover to be a special prosecutor and going off and having that person perhaps coordinate with the White House. I think that's one of the most serious allegations. We don't know to this day, I mean, there's kind of a very general statement on the billing record of why he was there, but it doesn't reveal anything. It's kind of an odd thing for him to just show up at the White House on two different occasions in 2020. I mean, in a state criminal prosecution, it raises very serious questions. Coordination. Again, talk about collusion, right? We heard that word an awful lot in the last administration. Is there collusion between the White House and these state prosecutions in New York and Georgia? I don't know, but I mean, you'd think these people would have the judgment if you were going to go out there and undertake this moment to pass. Unimpeachable judgment. Unimpeachable, you would think so, right? And so, again, I just think, scratch your head. This is backfiring on these people, though. And by the way, it's alleged that Nathan Wade billed 24 hours of work in one day. Now, you and I are used to having billed, you still bill hours, but I used to remember doing the six-minute increment bills at Skadden Arps. I hated billing, the billing records, all that. I hated doing billing. But 24 hours in a day, is that possible, Chris? Again, listen, Laura, that is certainly questionable, and I think that's one of the things that have to get looked at, and certainly, this is going to have to be resolved before these cases can go forward. I mean, you can't go with this cloud over the prosecutor. So, you know, again, if this is their A-team that they're bringing, that just makes you -- it raises a lot of questions. And Jack Smith, in his prosecution, he's supposedly the much more professional, seasoned prosecutor. What's new in that case? Well, you know, one of the really important things on that front is that, you know, again, he did not charge President Trump with insurrection. There's a federal crime called insurrection. A lot of people in this country think that's what the January 6 case is about. It is not. There is no charge of insurrection in that statute. That's why the Colorado and Maine things are insane. But more important, he actually charged them with this novel, untested legal theory that's now in the U.S. Supreme Court. Again, if you're going to go after the president, the former president, the leading candidate, you better be pretty darn sure that you have a solid legal ground. This is not the case to be testing the outer boundaries of the law. And today we know that the Chevron case, which is another big administrative law case, is being considered at the Supreme Court for, I mean, perhaps, you know, a complete reversal. For people who aren't law geeks, tell us why that's so important. It's very important because, as we've seen in the last several decades, the administrative state, the deep state in Washington is just growing and growing. And FCC, EPA, FDA, all those three letter agencies have just started expanding their power massively. And there's this doctrine in the law. Again, it sounds boring, but it's very important to the way Americans live that courts have been deferring to agencies on question of agency power. And now that is being reconsidered as to is that really appropriate? Because these bureaucrats have massively expanded their power. And they're unaccountable. For the most part, unaccountable, once they do something, they're going to get rid of the independent contract. 100%. And, you know, our basic separation of powers and our democracy, our Republican principles have broken down because now Congress has delegated to these agencies all this legislative power. Well, I was encouraged in hearing parts of these oral arguments, they released the audio on that. Chris, great to see you. Always a pleasure. We've got a grab bag of legal topics.

WITCH HUNT!
Video transcript reposted clip · 5:53

-Good evening, everyone. I am back from Iowa, finally. I had fun, but I did get back. This is the Ingram angle from Washington tonight. All right, Biden today meeting at the White House with top congressional leaders. Do you feel a sellout coming? Overstalled talks on Ukraine and, of course, our own border security. I'm really looking forward to speaking with Speaker Mike Johnson because he was at that meeting and is coming right over to the Ingram angle to give us details about what happened inside. But first, take the load off, Fanny. That's the focus of tonight's angle. Oh, how the mighty have fallen. Remember, the media was instantly awestruck by the Fulton County DA. She was a woman on a mission. After she announced her indictment of President Trump on the state racketeering charges in August, the New York Times, they described her as a force to be reckoned with. Fanny T. Willis strode up to the podium in a red dress last year in downtown Atlanta, flanked by an array of dark suits and stone-faced officers in uniform. Her voice rang out loud and clear with a hint of swagger. This is bad writing. And the liberal cable host, they were busy setting the narrative as well. A smart, gutsy female African-American prosecutor versus a reckless, dangerous former president. They thought they'd found their Trump slayer. Oh, my God. Like, she blew me away. And I think about this whole part of the future of Donald Trump as a former president differently now. I know, Fanny Willis said the other night that she was prepared to try the case within six months. And I'm sure she is. She has been investigating this case for two and a half years. All of her ducks will be in a row. And that's not all she had lined up. Reports show that she had her boyfriend, Nathan Wade, lined up to get paid a nice sum for doing her dirty work. She even sent him to the White House to check in with Biden's staff, billing Fulton County $2,000 on two different occasions in 2022 for his mystery work. Wade was an interesting choice, even the Washington Post conceded. And they noted that he had scant experience in prosecuting any cases. But when allegations of corruption about overpaying her unqualified boyfriend started trickling in, Fanny did what most leftists have been trained to do, play the victim and cry racism. -I appointed three special counselors. Is my right to do? Pay them all the same hourly rate. They only attack one. I hired one black man, another superstar, a great friend, and a great lawyer. Oh, Lord, they gonna be mad when I call them out on this nonsense. First thing they say, "Oh, she gonna play the race card now." But no guy is an adult who's playing the race card when they only question one. -But Fanny's a fantastic liar because her lover was paid $100 more an hour than others who are far more experienced. To be precise, records show that he was paid $100 more an hour than the experienced RICO prosecutor, John Floyd, according to documents obtained by the Daily Caller Foundation. But facts don't bother Fanny. She needs divine intervention. -Why are they so surprised that a diverse team that I assembled, your child, can accomplish extraordinary things? God, wasn't it them that attacked this lawyer of impeccable credentials? The black man I chose has been a judge more than 10 years. I'm just asking God. Is it that someone will never see a black man as qualified no matter his achievements? -Yet, as we saw with Harvard's Claudine Gay, these racial victim ploys are kind of losing their currency. Even the Daily Beast knows that Fanny has caused a major headache because if she got a hefty salary for a romantic partner, that's a genuine conflict of interest that would require her dismissal. And even Fanny's buds at CNN can't help her. -Everyone that we've spoken to, they agree that the optics in this are just horrible. In fact, there's some now high-level Democrats in this state who are calling Fanny Willis to step down and recuse herself from this case. -Now, once again, this reminds us how corrupt the corporate media are, because just a few years ago, "Time" magazine was lauding Fanny Willis as one of those boss ladies who is small in stature but big in presence, a commander armed -- get this -- with high standards. Now, Democrats have made a big mistake here. Instead of trying to win the presidency by advancing policies that actually improve lives, they decided to try to destroy America and destroy Donald Trump. Biden flunkies are flooding our border with migrants and drowning Trump with endless legal attacks waged by vicious, corrupt climbers, people like Fanny Willis. But hyperpolitical and entitled prosecutors like her, they're kind of a dime a dozen these days, and they're disliked by hard-working Americans who just want someone who will call balls and strikes. And as President Trump continues to barnstorm the country on his way to securing the GOP nomination, Fanny will be prepping for her deposition in a week in her paramours divorce case. Attorneys for Jocelyn Wade, Nathan's wife, successfully subpoenaed the DA. So how's Fanny gonna get out of this jam? Claim Mrs. Wade's a racist, too? Well, it's time to take the load off Fanny and shut down this tainted prosecution. And that's the angle.

A PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES MUST HAVE FULL IMMUNITY, WITHOUT WHICH IT WOULD BE IMPOSSIBLE FOR HIM/HER TO PROPERLY FUNCTION. ANY MISTAKE, EVEN IF WELL INTENDED, WOULD BE MET WITH ALMOST CERTAIN INDICTMENT BY THE OPPOSING PARTY AT TERM END. EVEN EVENTS THAT “CROSS THE LINE” MUST FALL UNDER TOTAL IMMUNITY, OR IT WILL BE YEARS OF TRAUMA TRYING TO DETERMINE GOOD FROM BAD. THERE MUST BE CERTAINTY. EXAMPLE: YOU CAN’T STOP POLICE FROM DOING THE JOB OF STRONG & EFFECTIVE CRIME PREVENTION BECAUSE YOU WANT TO GUARD AGAINST THE OCCASIONAL “ROGUE COP” OR “BAD APPLE.” SOMETIMES YOU JUST HAVE TO LIVE WITH “GREAT BUT SLIGHTLY IMPERFECT.” ALL PRESIDENTS MUST HAVE COMPLETE & TOTAL PRESIDENTIAL IMMUNITY, OR THE AUTHORITY & DECISIVENESS OF A PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES WILL BE STRIPPED & GONE FOREVER. HOPEFULLY THIS WILL BE AN EASY DECISION. GOD BLESS THE SUPREME COURT!

I’ve said it once & I’ll say it again, a thousand times. Until this ridiculous Hoax was revealed to me by the Fake News Media, I never heard of E. Jean Carroll, never had anything to do with her, never would want to have anything to do with her, never brought her into a LOCKED changing room of a crowded NYC Department Store (directly opposite the checkout booth!), & NEVER TOUCHED HER, OR IN ANY WAY WOULD WANT TO TOUCH HER. The whole story is a MADE UP & DISGUSTING HOAX! Like the now fully discredited RUSSIA, RUSSIA, RUSSIA HOAX, & all of the others, this one is also conceived, funded, & carried out by Democrat Political Operatives like her lawyer (who I just beat in another SCAM case!), Roberta Kaplan, Piglet Reid Hoffman, a major Democrat Donor who is funding this Witch Hunt, or “Crazed” George Conway, who lost his wonderful wife, Kellyanne, to another, and has gone completely “NUTS!” Judge Kaplan knows this, & all about “THE FAKE DRESS,” but won’t let it be revealed. BROKEN JUSTICE!

Now that E. Jean Carroll has admitted to illegally deleting and destroying mountains of evidence (as well as, it seems, unlawfully owning a gun and buying ammunition!), if Judge Lewis Kaplan does the right and PATRIOTIC thing, he will immediately dismiss the current Election Interfering Witch Hunt Trial, and reverse the unfair and biased result in the first Sham Trial, which was forced upon a very popular and successful President of the United States of America (ME!). The Crooked Joe Biden-directed Conspiracy of Hoaxes and Scams is falling apart like a rotten House of Cards. Make America Great Again!

I do not think we should do a Border Deal, at all, unless we get EVERYTHING needed to shut down the INVASION of Millions & Millions of people, many from parts unknown, into our once great, but soon to be great again, Country! Also, I have no doubt that our wonderful Speaker of the House, Mike Johnson, will only make a deal that is PERFECT ON THE BORDER. Remember, without Strong Borders and Honest Elections, we don’t have a Country!!!

President @realDonaldTrump brings the receipts when it comes to both his physical and cognitive health and contrasts it with that of Crooked Joe Biden. "I actually feel better now than I did 30 years ago!"
Video transcript reposted clip · 3:41

I actually feel better now than I did 30 years ago. Tell me, is that crazy? I feel better now. And I think cognitively, I'm better than I was 20 years ago. I don't know why. I said, doctor, you know, Dr. Ronnie, right? Ronnie, do you know Ronnie? Ronnie Jackson. I said, should I take a cognitive test? Because for a while, they were saying, this guy is so brilliant, he wants to take over the world. The next-- and that wasn't working. This guy is, like, unbelievable the job he's doing. We have to stop him. He's a genius. That wasn't working. Then they said, this is one of the dumbest human beings ever. And that wasn't working. But I didn't like that one as much. I mean, that was bad. So I asked Dr. Ronnie, who is, as you know, the White House doctor for Obama, for Trump. I mean, great doctor. He's also an admiral in the Navy, highly respected admiral. Now he's a congressman in Texas. I asked him, Dr. Ronnie, should I take a test? By the way, the press would often ask him, who's in the best health? Who's better? Trump? Trump? Or-- well, I don't even want to mention Biden. I don't want to mention Trump or Biden. Remember when he said, I'm going to take him to the back of the barn? You know what? With him, you know what I'd have to do? I'd go like this. Down goes Biden. Down goes Biden. But if I say it, here's the difference. Everyone thought it was so nice when he said, remember he used to say, I would take him to the back of the barn. Remember he used to say, everybody at the press, the fake news back there. Look at all those cameras, the fake news. They used to go like, oh, that's terrible that I would-- so I made the mistake of saying, oh, really, he'll take-- I'll take him. I'll knock him so hard, he'll never understand what the hell happened. He'll be out of space. They said, isn't that terrible that I-- it was OK for him to say it. When I said it once, it was like a massive nightmare. But anyway, now he talks. But they asked Doc Ronnie, who's better, Barack Hussein Obama. Remember Rush Limbaugh used to go, Barack Hussein Obama. We screamed the word Hussein. I wonder why he was telling that. But he would scream the word. But I'd say, so who's in better health? They would actually ask-- the media would ask, who's in better health, President Obama or President Trump? And he would say, President Trump, 100%. In fact, he said if he didn't eat so much junk food, he'd be around for 200 years. That's Ronnie Jackson of Texas. And then when he left, he retired. And he ran for Congress. And he won, I think, by 48 points. He was very popular in Texas. He's a great congressman, he's doing a really good job. But I did say, what about a cognitive test? He said, well, you know, it's not that easy. Let me tell you. And it's taken at Walter Reed, which, by the way, is a great place, unbelievable doctors. They see it all. They see all these people come in with the worst injuries you've ever seen. They're unbelievable. But I said, what about it? Because when they say that-- me, cognitively. I mean, I'm up here making a speech with no notes. I got these teleprompters. I haven't started practically reading them yet. Do you think he could do that? He can't read the teleprompters. He can't find the stairs off the damn podium. But I said, well, I'm going to test. So what's the story? He said, well, the problem is, people will find out. And if you do badly, it's not a particularly good thing. You don't want to have some guy get like a disaster. I said, well, is that a hard test? It can be hard. I said, look, I got to take it because I got to shut it up. And I took it, and I aced it.

The radical left Democrats are supporting Nikki Haley because they know she's much easier to beat than Trump. And you know what? If she were, they wouldn't be doing it. But you know, they're great disinformation people, misinformation, disinformation. You know, they're almost the same, but not quite. But let's not go into definitions right now. They're very close, actually. A lot of people still don't understand it, but I give them credit for both. But they are—they are literally—what they're doing is they're—they will say, "We want to run against Trump so bad." In the meantime, they're sending all their people to vote for Nikki Haley. The reason they do that is they want to run against Nikki Haley. Usually, when they say something, it's the opposite, OK? And they're very good at it, too. They're good at cheating on elections and disinformation.

One of the most important issues in this race is, which candidate can rescue the American economy and save the American dream. - President @realDonaldTrump
Video transcript reposted clip · 1:54

One of the most important issues in this race is which candidate can rescue the American economy and save the American Dream. So I had the greatest economy in history. Your gasoline was at numbers that you've never seen. Did you know, here's another thing for Sununu to work on, do you know that New Hampshire has the highest energy costs in the whole United States? You're the highest energy cost, single highest, New England is the highest area, but you have the highest energy cost, that's because of Sununu, there's no reason for that, it's because of Sununu. These guys, how they get away with it, it's amazing, but you have record low unemployment. This is what you had, and for African Americans, Hispanic Americans, all over the country, Asian Americans, young Americans, old Americans, veterans, veterans love Trump. Look what I've done. Where is Al? Is Al around here? Where is Al? Al Bald is our, boy, we have such veteran support. Where is Al? He's back in Florida. He's back in Florida. What the hell happened? Get him back to New Hampshire, will you please? What a great guy. But we did great for the veterans, and as you know, we're going to build a big veterans hospital here. You're the only state that doesn't have one, we're going to build a big one. So, we're going to build a big one. But we had record low poverty rates, we're talking countrywide, we had record low poverty rates, record high incomes, the highest incomes, record incomes ever anywhere, and we increased the typical American families take home pay by over $6,000. The Democrats were $5,000 negative, we were $6,000 positive, and that's without inflation. If you think about that, without inflation, virtually everybody, I think I can take the word virtually off, but everybody was better off under Trump, and do you compare it to this administration, it's just not even a contest.

Going to New Hampshire now, big crowd—Looking forward to being there! After New Hampshire, I will be heading down to Palm Beach, Florida, to attend my great Mother-in-Law’s funeral. It will be a beautiful tribute to her!
