A lot of people feel like the American Dream is further and further away, that if you work hard and play by the rules, it's a little bit harder to get ahead. It's a little bit harder to support a family, a little bit harder to buy a home. What I grew up in was one where I think for the first time really in American history, my parents' generation did not expect their children to necessarily have a better life than they did. And you saw that in all kinds of different ways, but there was this since growing up in Middletown in the 1990s, that a lot of people didn't expect the future to be better than the past. And that's a really unique and a really tragic thing. The job started to disappear from that community, drugs started to move in, hopelessness started to move in. And so a lot of people who really knew that the future would be better than the past actually found a world that was a lot more difficult and a lot more challenging. I wrote Hillbilly Elegy because I wanted to give people a sense of what it was like to live in a community like mine. I didn't think a whole lot of stories were told about white working class Americans. I didn't think a lot of stories were told about people who were struggling with some of the problems we were struggling with, joblessness, drug addiction, and so forth. And I thought that I could tell a story that would make people understand my family a little bit better and maybe in the process understand the struggles of a lot of families. I come from the places that I want to represent. And what we need is to stop sending people that are of the DC swamp. We need to send people who are of the places they aim to represent. I want to fight for the people that I come from. I want to fight for the people that I am. I want to fight for the people that I am.

Chris, you always give us who is exactly how you see it. So she's now running on policies that would indicate she believes that we should get tougher at her southern border. It's a bit of a different tune she's singing than what we've seen from her as Vice President Harris. Yeah, we're seeing more flip-flopping from her than we did in John Kerry in 2004 when he was in favor of the war against the war. I mean, you go back to when she was Attorney General, when she was Senator, when she's been Vice President, everything she has done has been to diminish and put up barriers against law enforcement that are trying to do their job, not barriers on the border, but actually just inhibiting our ability to do our job. And these examples, they're not fun to talk about, but they're the reality of what has happened when you defund ICE, when you reduce detention capacity, when you do not authorize criminal prosecutions for those that cross illegally, then these type of situations happen. And we see them play out, whether it's Lakin or Jocelyn or Rachel Morin or all the ones that have gone before her and continue to commit crimes across the country. It's just unbelievable. And I don't think it's going to work. I think the American people are going to see that she is not serious about this border security. Yeah, to be clear, this is where she has stood in the past with some of her perceived far left border policies. Watch and listen. You're confident this border is secure. We have a secure border. Raise your hand if you think it should be a civil offense rather than a crime to cross a border without documentation. Can we keep the hands up so we could see them? I think there's no question that we've got to critically re-examine ICE. I am in favor of saying that we're not going to treat people who are undocumented and cross the border as criminals. All right. So you're not a criminal. You're not here illegally if you cross illegally. Let's re-examine ICE, she said in a previous interview. Go back to 2022 where she insisted our border is secure. Well, tell that to Lake and Riley's family, who over that period of time, this man who was able to walk over the border, entered the country to then murder their daughter, their loved one. And then we learned that he had ties to this dangerous, brutal gang that is now popping up in American cities, Tren de Aragua. We had a councilwoman outside of Denver yesterday talking about how brutal it is getting for residents there. Here's that councilwoman on America Reports yesterday. This gang, they are marking their territory. They are putting up their gang related graffiti on the blocks, on the areas that they have taken over. One time I stepped out of my vehicle and an alert whistle. This is how they're communicating by whistling. An alert whistle happened and I very quickly had to get back in my car. They had people posted all around different properties, up and down different blocks. So to your point, Harris can now promise and vow to be tougher on the border considering all that has happened, but all that has happened has happened under her and Biden's watch. So will the American public, the voter, buy it, Chris? Well, I sure hope not because everything they're doing is just a complete gas line and misrepresentation of the facts on the ground. The TDA that said Venezuelan gang is not just localized to one area of the country. They are making their presence known all around America and that is a threat to all Americans. That's why I continue to say border security is national security and public safety for these reasons. We have an immigration issue we've got to deal with, but we cannot conflate those and that's what Harris has been doing and they're trying to spin everything to a softer tone about immigration as opposed to being really tough on the border security apparatus. Not only do the victims' families go talk to them, go talk to the border communities that had to deal with this on the front end. Yuma, Arizona, El Paso, El Eagle Pass, now San Diego, Rio Grande, all of these communities all across the south of the border have been hit with this with a large amount of people, the tax burden, the amount of money we were spending to handle this problem that could have been fixed on day one if it had just left things alone and built off of what we had started and listened to the men and women of the Border Patrol and ICE as opposed to demonizing them. So she's run away from ever having been the border czar, but in all those interviews she never refuted that claim and it wasn't until now when she's running for president. We'll see how this question, hopefully questions, come up on the border in this sit-down interview that is now highly anticipated. Chris, thank you.

And in 2019, when she ran for president in the democratic primary, her campaign was such a disaster that she had to drop out before the first vote was cast, even though she had every strategic advantage in the world. They're petrified of letting her speak without a teleprompter, without a script, because they know that she has no mastery of any of these issues and she's proven that over and over. And more so, no soul, no real beliefs, fixed beliefs of any kind. - You'd think the media, after covering for Joe Biden for four years and ruining what little credibility they had left, would feel a little embarrassed about basically pivoting in three weeks and going right back to another kind of corrupt coverup. And they have no qualms about it. - I think the systemic attempt on the part of the media to lie to the country and conceal Joe Biden's true mental state is one of the biggest journalistic scandals in the last several decades. I mean, everybody knew, those of us who were willing to say it, we're all speaking openly about it. It was an open secret in Washington and the media pretended they didn't know and they were so shocked when that debate happened. And you're right, that was a gigantic scandal reflecting, yet again, their desperation, their willingness to do anything to help the Democrats defeat Donald Trump. I'm very honored to receive the endorsement of your great governor, Big Mike D, that's what he is, Big Mike D, of the great state of Alaska. During my first term, I worked with the governor very closely to ensure Alaska could take advantage of every opportunity to explore and develop its tremendous resources to maximize its potential to create jobs and bring wealth and health and opportunity to Alaska. We did more for Alaska than any administration by far in history. We opened ANWR for energy development, worked on reopening Tongass National Forest, and as a multi-phase working forest, it's something really special, signed a presidential permit for a future railroad from Alaska through Canada, and got all of the permits needed for the Alaska Gas Line project.
