(upbeat music) - 11 days away from election day and Democrats feel like they need a therapist. - Democrats like cut up a tie race and they were lapsed into profound depression and a depressed party is not a winning party. So anything that I could do to address that kind of depression, I'm glad to do it. - If you're a Democrat and you're suffering from election anxiety, James Carville's offering his services. Hopefully not in that way, but he did say anything. For the first time ever, Trump is tied going into election day. He always goes in down. Let that sink in. It's the tightest race in a half a century and behind the scenes, Democrats are worried she can't stretch herself across the finish line. Little she does, says, or tries seems to move the needle. They've been waiting for her to fully reveal herself to voters but she hasn't, she's been a tease. At this point, Democrats are throwing their hands up in the air and saying, she is who she is. They're coming to grips with the fact that Kamala has reached her full potential. This version of Kamala, as good as it's ever gonna get. After the CNN town hall, reality slapped Democrats in the face. Her performance last night was the last straw for a lot of Democrats. No more, the more she does it, the better she'll get. The get to know her phase, that's over. They've realized the country's not interested. Just ask Mel Gibson. I know what it'd be like if we let her in. Yeah, oh really? That ain't good. Yeah, well this miserable track record, a falling track record, no policies to speak out. And the border, right? And she's got the IQ of a fence post. (laughing) So it's not good. And Bill Clinton, not helping. There is a sliver there that has to make up their mind. And to them, Kamala Harris has showed up. I mean, she was there as vice president and what they think of her largely depends on what they think of President Biden. But she is extremely vulnerable, more vulnerable than she deserves to be. Now if Bubba keeps this up, Democrats are gonna have to lock 'em up in the basement with Joe. But Slick Willy's right, she's vulnerable. And the far left smelling blood in the water. Progressives warned Harris must change your closing message as the election looms. The Bernie Bros are asking Harris, "Can you stop campaigning with Liz Cheney?" Liz Cheney. And maybe campaign with AOC instead. They're telling her stop screaming about fascism and start talking about the bread and butter kitchen table issues that motivate working class Democrats. - Some Democrats are concerned that you've pivoted too far away from talking about the economy and really prioritizing that in these final days of the election that you could end up losing some progressive voters and some working class voters because of that. What do you say to those people, especially ones who might be concerned that doing a big closing argument speech in a place like the Ellipse may be leaning more into talking about the threat of Trump to democracy and not his threats that you see to the economy? - One of the things that I love about the American people is we can hold many thoughts at once. - That's deep. Kamala's base is fracturing on the eve of the election because she's not talking about wages, healthcare and education. You know, things Democrats used to stand for before they got captured by the corporate class. Morning Joe keeps telling her to talk about Hitler and she's following orders because that's what she's done her whole life. She doesn't realize she can give orders now. She doesn't have to just do what she's told. Bernie Sanders who's won more, millions more primary votes than Kamala has ever won is warning the Democratic Party, we're gonna lose if we don't talk about the economy. But there's two problems. One, Kamala can't talk about the economy because she's the one who tanked it. And two, Kamala is afraid to be seen with Bernie. She was more liberal than Bernie in the Senate, but now she acts like they never met. That tells you how much of a hoax Harris's candidacy is. Democrats are now wondering who'd be more responsible for a Harris loss, Biden for dragging his feet or Harris. But there's plenty of blame to go around. Everyone's responsible. This is the second time the Democratic Party has circumvented democracy and chose. Yes it is. Hillary Clinton, Hillary Clinton was chosen and she had Bruce Springsteen too and what happened to her? And now we've chosen. - Hillary Clinton won a primary, okay? She won a primary. You may not like the back of the primary. - Nobody could compete with her, even Bernie Sanders. - She won a primary, first of all. That's the first thing. - So did Kamala Harris win a primary? - Listen, we've talked about this before. - What's wrong with talking about it tonight after what you just saw? - Do you think that's really what matters to voters? - How many Democrats wish? - Hold on, hold on a second. - Let's talk about what matters to voters. Do you really think voters care about the internecine primary? - If you're a Democrat, you sure as hell care today. - Kamala Harris is gonna lose because Biden waited too long to step down. Are you serious? He didn't step down. He backed out with a gun to his head. The Democrats knew Biden was shot for years. They could have primaried him. You know, the way things have been done since our founding, they could have had an open primary after Joe got whacked. The truth is Biden and Kamala were both probably gonna lose. They're both responsible for the last four years. Nobody can point to the last four years and say they deserve to be reelected. Doesn't matter who you are. It's not about Biden and Harris. It's about what they did. And now the Democrats are all in denial and demand every celebrity in America to pop up on stage and sprinkle Kamala with as much Hollywood magic as possible and just close their eyes and hope their dreams come true. Tonight, we're hearing Kamala is gonna be on stage with Beyonce, but the media has seen this before. - With 11 days to go, I gotta tell you to this reporter, it feels a little familiar because I remember these scenes from 2016 when Hillary rallied, Hillary Clinton rallied in Philadelphia with Barack Obama and Bruce Springsteen. That event was basically a victory rally that was held before all the votes were cast. And we all know how it turned out. - You can't fuel a campaign with pop stars. Campaigns are about connecting with people, real people who have real problems. These real moments between the politician and the people, that's what makes and breaks a campaign. You can see one connects and the other doesn't. (crowd chattering) - It's about priorities and the people see that. Before Trump taped the Joe Rogan podcast, he was visiting angel moms whose offspring were murdered by Biden migrants. - Today, Kamala is here in Texas to rub shoulders with woke celebrities, isn't that exciting? (crowd cheering) But she's not gonna meet with any of the victims of migrant crime while she's here. We have many of them right here, the families, we have many of them and they're incredible people, what they've gone through, the hell that they've gone through and we'll continue to go through, unfortunately. She'll not speak to the grieving mothers from whom she has stolen the brightest light in their life. - Celebrity endorsements are fine. Beyonce has every right to be in Texas with the borders are, but that's all Harris has. She doesn't have the people. She's not tackling our problems. You gotta get your hands dirty if you wanna be president. It's not an easy job. You can't worry about what everybody's saying about you. You can't hide from questions. You gotta aim for the problem, sell the solution and work your butt off. And if you see what's gonna happen and maybe you're depressed about it, call Carville and he'll do anything to cheer you up. -Good evening, everyone. I'm Laura Ingraham. This is the Ingraham Angle from Washington tonight. As always, thank you for joining us. Obama's got nothing. That's the focus of tonight's angle. All right, his swagger doesn't have the appeal it used to have. His shout-outs. Hello, Pittsburgh. Oh, the audience. It just kind of seems juvenile, I think. And now the man who won the presidency as the great uniter is making a nakedly racial-insulting appeal to black male voters who are skeptical of Kamala Harris. -We have not yet seen the same kinds of energy and turnout as we saw when I was running. That seems to be more pronounced with the brothers. You're coming up with all kinds of reasons and excuses. I've got a problem with that. Part of it makes me think that, "Well, you just aren't feeling the idea of having a woman as president, and you're coming up with other alternatives and other reasons for that." -Well, with Kamala's mounting challenges in battleground states, Obama jetted in, and he held court. You saw him there. But rather than addressing concerns about Harris' record on the economy and on the border, people's standards of living, he tried to shame black men into supporting her. -So now you're thinking about sitting out or even supporting somebody who has a history of denigrating you because you think that's a side of strength because that's what being a man is? -Really? That's the argument? His message to black men is clear. You're stupid sexist if you don't vote for Kamala. Is this what all that hope and change was all about all those years ago? All right, let's be very clear here. In the history books, Obama's administration will go down as a failure because when it was over in 2016, the voters rejected his chosen candidate, Hillary Clinton, and they elected someone who had never run for political office before, a businessman, Donald Trump. Americans had had enough of the Obamas, and they wanted to go in a completely different direction. And the facts show why. Remember, President Obama promised to help the middle class and urban voters, but he really never did. And he promised that he would get tough on China, and he was going to declare them a currency manipulator, but he never did. And he promised to renegotiate NAFTA, but we know he never did that either. President Trump got more done in his own one term than Obama did in two, and Trump had a pandemic to deal with. Now, look at the real median household income numbers. Wow, hit a record high under Trump. Even CNN had to report it. Well, Obama knows all this, and he knows that in every poll conducted for the past few years, voters have been very clear. They prefer Trump's economic record to Biden and Harris's. So while Obama, I think, believed he needed something new to say yesterday, and he tried to save this issue for Kamala. Now, he's had months to think about an argument, but this was the best he could come up with. - The reason some people think, wow, I don't know, I remember that economy when he first came in being pretty good. Yeah, it was pretty good, 'cause it was my economy. I spent eight years cleaning up the mess that the Republicans had left me the last time. So just in case everybody has a hazy memory, he had that, he didn't do nothing except those big tax cuts. - Not surprising from the man who famously said this. - Somebody helped to create this unbelievable American system that we had that allowed you to thrive. Somebody invested in roads and bridges. If you got a business, you didn't build that. Somebody else made that happen. - Trump didn't help build that economy. I did. Now, almost nothing Obama said in Pittsburgh was actually true. - Donald Trump and his cronies. Freedom means that the powerful can do whatever they please. We believe in the freedom to provide for our families. We believe that true freedom gives each of us the right to make decisions about our own life. - Oh, really? Then why is Kamala sitting on a billion dollar war chest if she's not supported by the powerful, Mr. President? Now, under Trump, the powerful weren't allowed to flood our communities with migrants or to send your jobs offshore. Like Obama doesn't even sound like he believes much of what he's saying anymore, and especially about Kamala. - The good news is Kamala Harris, she doesn't have concepts for a plan. She has an actual plan to make your life better, to bring down the cost of things like groceries. She'll go after corporations that are jacking up prices. - All right, I have a question for Obama. If she has this great detailed plan, why is she unable to explain her to defend it under real questioning? Why are the voters not buying it? And why does she need you to try to do it all for her? It's all ridiculous. And you know what else is ridiculous? That the guy who was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in his first year in office, which is still hilarious, is now on the same side as Dick Cheney. And the fact is, Obama's act was always phony. He was never a racial healer. He was a cynical fomentor of racial divisions. And he was never a champion of the working class. He supports and agrees with the same globalists and billionaires who support Kamala Harris today. And he was never really a peacemaker. He agrees with most of the Cheney's views on foreign policy now, and supports the Cheney's pick presidential candidate. Now, this is his real record. And this is why the voters rejected his recommendation in 2016, Hillary Clinton. And this is why voters are rejecting his advice right now. He's always been kind of the same editor of the Harvard Law Review, who learned to protect and defend the elites. He's comfortable with them. If you want to know about real estate and Martha's Vineyard, or hear about how to score floor tickets to the next game, then he's your man. But if you're trying to figure out how to build a colorblind political coalition or raise living standards for the middle class, then he's the last person you should be taking advice from. As we told you last night, the problem for these people isn't their calm strategy. The problem is all of them are wedded to the same failed policies that have eviscerated our middle class. Meanwhile, President Trump has spent nine years under relentless assault, showing us that he is committed to the multiracial, multiethnic, multi-state coalition to improve life for all Americans. So voters, vote for your own interests. You don't owe Obama anything. He's gonna be fine. He has his mansions and his movie and Netflix deals and his standing invites on private yachts in the South of France. Now, remember, he's the smartest guy they've got. He's obviously been thinking about how to defend the Biden-Harris record for months. And in the end, all he's got is, you're being mean to her because you don't like women. In other words, they got nothing, and that's the angle.
