The Fake and Artificial News is out there trying to say that I’m inviting the enemy to bomb San Diego and Los Angeles when, in actuality, what I was talking about was that a temporary increase in the price of Gasoline is a small price to pay for Iran not having a Nuclear Weapon and, if you want to see a big price, can you imagine what it would be like if they bombed San Diego and/or Los Angeles? All I was doing was making a comparison between paying a little more, for a short time, for Gasoline, versus the bombing of our Major Cities. Everybody knew that, the Fake News knew it as well, but they continue to go out and say that I am asking the enemy to bomb two Cities that I love. It’s totally clear what I say but, these people are Degenerates, and think they can continuously get away with Fake News! President DONALD J. TRUMP
We are having productive discussions with the Islamic Republic of Iran. I want to make it clear to everybody that, while Iran is in very bad condition, both Economically and Militarily, and while the Blockade will remain in full force and effect, with Oil flowing in Record Numbers of Barrels through the Hormuz Strait (22 Million Barrels, last night alone, with not one barrel coming from, or going to, Iran!), we will not be attacking Iran at any time prior to the Midterm Elections to be held in the United States on November 3rd. IRAN WILL NOT HAVE A NUCLEAR WEAPON! President DONALD J. TRUMP
The Polls have ALWAYS underestimated MAGA. They try to suppress the Vote, but I won all 7 Swing States, the Popular Vote, 86% of Counties, and 99% of Primaries this year. I AM ON THE BALLOT! President DONALD J. TRUMP
From Dick Morris: “Since November of 2025 in monthly polls by McLaughlin, your job approval rating has always been between 47 and 50 percent. I have never seen anything like that in fifty years of polling. Almost every politician sees his numbers rise and fall each month but not you. You won the election in 2024 with 49.8 percent of the popular vote and the latest McLaughlin Poll, taken this month, has your job approval at 49% - the exact same as your vote share. No other political figure has ever had this level of consistency in his ratings. Through the Iran War and gas price rises and falls, your job approval is the same. It never changes. And 49% is enough to win - look at how that level of vote won in 2024! In the same Mclaughlin Poll, the generic ballot is 50-48 Democrat. That is also enough to keep the House Republican. Past history indicates that anything less than a four point margin for Democrats likely points to a Republican House victory. And almost all polls are showing Republican gains in the generic ballot.”

Allow me to lay it out simply for the anti-American losers in our media. These Americans, right here and their peers, these, have destroyed Iran's navy, destroyed Iran's air force, destroyed their air defense systems, their leadership and their military industrial capacity, their entire defense base. Iran's conventional shield has been crippled and their nuclear ambitions laid bare for the world. You, this group, are ensuring that Iran never gets a nuclear weapon. Courageous and historic operations that every red-blooded American is proud of. But as you know, the information space, it's a battle space. Yet our so-called press makes Iranian state media look reasonable. Our media's shameful lust for political retribution blinds them to the consequences of reckless so-called reporting. The so-called journalists juiced up on Trump derangement syndrome think they're fighting against our president, but they're really undermining you, our war fighters. Bottom line, too many of them hate the president more than they love the country. You see, it's your movements and bases that they reveal to the enemy. It's your operations that they jeopardize when they leak classified capabilities. And ultimately, it's your lives they put directly at risk when they lie about munitions stockpiles. All for a banner that will scroll on TV for 30 seconds. And I know a little bit about banners scrolling on TV for 30 seconds.

And there were some people that were on television tonight. I wish I could find this guy. He got up. Is there any way? If they could put a clip, you know, there were some people that were so nice to me. They were standing online and they said, why are you here? One reason, very simple, big, strong, good-looking guys. There were three of them. They were almost like twins. They were all big, strong, and good-looking. I think they were from Oklahoma. (audience cheers) But they said, why are you here? Only one reason why, Donald Trump. Where is that guy? Here's one of them right there. There were three of them. - Why is the president coming here to Oklahoma today? Why does he need to be here? - Here. - He needs here to just help all the Republican candidates that are running for state office and Senate. And we just want to make sure it stays red. - Juvenatorial candidate Mike Mazie running and he's a help to, Trump is a help to Mazie, you said. - Absolutely. - Okay, thank you very much. President Guys will be in Texas, just north of Dallas, before he makes his way to Oklahoma tonight. And we actually, with that gentleman here, Tony, you work at that truck manufacturing plant where the president's gonna be this afternoon. Why are you here in Oklahoma? When you should be down in Texas. - Well, I retired six months ago, eight months ago now, so. - Is Trump a help to folks like Ken Paxton in Texas? It was leaked audio that came out yesterday from the New York Times saying, Ken Paxton is unsure that the numbers after that midterm convention helped him and maybe hurt him. Are they still on board? Republicans at large, on board with President Trump and his political influence. - Yes sir, 100%. - What do you say to those Republicans who have any doubt about Trump's influence? - Get on the Trump train. We're going to the front. The only way Trump can lose is if he gets cheated. That's my opinion. - All right, and then when you look towards November, still confident that the president's gonna be able to maintain his majorities in the House and the Senate. - Taking it all. We're taking it all. - What gives you that confidence? - Just what he's been doing overseas as a blake. - You're happy with how things are going in Iran. - I'm happy. I'm happy with that. I'm happy the way things are going in the country right now with him. I just wish he could get a third turn. (crowd cheering) - Where is he? Where are those guys? Where is he? Where is he? Hey, where are those guys? They're big, strong. I hope they're not stuck outside. They might be stuck. Where are they? They were so great. I watched it. I said, what great people. Where are they? Where? We gotta get them. Where are they? You can't miss a big, strong, handsome Oklahoma studs. Where are you? Come up here. Come up here. Come up here. I love these guys. Come on. Wow. I love those guys. (crowd cheering) Man, oh man. How about, isn't that cool? I watched it coming in and I said, I love the, oh, there they are. Oh, there they are. Look at these three guys. These are studs. Come on up here, fellas. Come here. Wow. Thank you, President Trump, for all you do every day. If you work harder than any American, I know. (crowd cheering) Absolute honor of a life. Time to move the greatest president this country has ever had. (crowd cheering) Oh boy, oh boy. That's the real deal. That's the real deal. Thank you. No, I saw them on the, what do you think of Trump? It's like, those are real, those are real people. Those are real people. You can't get better. They're the people that built the country. Just so you know, with all the bullshit here from all these others, they always, those are the people that built our country. And you are those people. You are those people. (crowd cheers)

But I wanted to announce something that I'm also very proud of today. I'm pleased to announce that the last American forces are leaving Iraq. It's been a long time with very bad decision-making that got us involved in this quagmire. In the first place, it was a quagmire. Many, many years it lasted. But soon, that part of history will be over. This is a great day for America, and importantly, we leave with Iraq, having a wonderful new prime minister, Ali Al-Zaidi, a fantastic guy, a friend of mine, and somebody I supported from the very beginning, and I fully endorsed. He was running for election. He wasn't given even a chance, and I endorsed him in politic form a little bit, and he ended up winning in a virtual landslide, beating somebody that was not a good person, in my opinion. So I'm very proud of him, and hopefully he's going to do a fantastic job. But he won the election, and it was very unexpected, it was a very big thing, and he did so in landslide order. Launched in 2003 under the presidency of George W. Bush, and continued under the administration of Barack Hussein Obama - have you heard of him? - in 2014, and then further continued under Sleepy Joe Biden, Operation Inherent Resolve, which is what they called it, ends in 2026 under the leadership of President Donald J. Trump. We're getting the hell out of there. So this day is a victory for the United States, it's a victory for Iraq, and a decisive victory over ISIS, which has been completely decimated, which is the reason we went in there in the first place. I decimated them and took them out in my first administration, so I don't know what took them so long to be making the announcement that I'm making today, but it was all about ISIS at the time. It should have never been allowed to form, it did form. We took it out, others weren't able to do so. But it's just a very big thing, and just to go on just a little bit about it, I have to make some comparisons, unlike Afghanistan, where much military equipment and everything else was left behind, and 13 warriors lie dead. I know the families of those incredible young people got to know them very well over the last couple of years what happened to those - to their children should never have been allowed to happen. With many badly wounded, so many badly - 48 were so badly wounded, they never get mentioned, I mention them all the time - badly wounded, no legs in some cases, arms, face. This orderly departure of coalition forces and equipment from Erbil Air Base marks the end of a very expensive excursion into hell, and again, we took all of our equipment. I said, take a little longer, take everyone - we left all of the equipment, if you remember, in Afghanistan and everything was left behind, we left. I said, I want every screw taken. If there's a screw lying on the ground, take it. If we have a canvas tent, take it. We took everything. I set a clear mission, gave our commanders the tools to finish it, and refused to let a temporary presence become a permanent one. A lot of people wanted us to be permanently there. I had a choice to stay or to leave and felt, without question, that it was time for America to go home. Prime Minister - (applause) - Prime Minister al-Zaidi is outstanding and will hopefully be able to handle things very well. We came to fight a caliphate, and there is no longer a caliphate, so we are going home indeed. Now, as a comparison, we have been in that war for 23 years, lost more than 4,500 great American soldiers, and had over 31,000 injured, some very badly, plus hundreds of civilian contractors were killed. So think of that - 23 years, 4,500 dead soldiers, 31,000 badly injured, and that doesn't include contractors that were many killed. By comparison, in our war with Venezuela - a place you're very familiar with, by the way - did we do a good job in Venezuela, huh? (Applause) That's right, I'm speaking to the right group. I'm speaking to the right group. But by comparison, in our war with Venezuela, we lost zero soldiers. (Applause) And, you know, I don't know if you know, but we went into a major fort, a major military complex with thousands of - thousands of soldiers. We went in with 201 great, talented, brilliant, tough people. We lost zero, accomplished our mission of getting the number one state sponsor of Terra. He was the number one, rated number one. We took him out. He was locked behind iron doors. Those iron doors came down in seconds, so you've got to see this, too. You wouldn't believe it. And the war lasted for exactly 148 minutes. The fake news doesn't talk about that. And Venezuela has now been, you know, great. We're helping the people become rich again. The big oil companies are moving in. We've taken out many, many times the cost of the war in oil and getting along really well - really, really well - and the country's coming back and the people have a smile in their face. They see what's happening. The money is pouring. (Applause) And we opened it up for travel. Some of you are Venezuelan. And I know in Doral - Doral, as they call it, "Little Venezuela" - I love Doral Country Club. (Laughter) But it's Little Venezuela, and it's a great area. It's an amazing area, with the most amazing - and as you know - and as you know, we've - as you know, we now have flights going into Venezuela. Who thought - who would have thought that was going to be happening any time soon? You have full flights going in. But think of it. So it's 148 minutes, as opposed to 23 years. We lost nobody. We had - have complete a total military victory. Likewise in Iran, we have been there for six months, with 18 killed. By the way, one is too many. But they lost 4,500. We lost 18. And we have very soon - you'll see things happening very soon - but we have a nation that's been virtually destroyed. Their economy is no good. They have 300 percent plus inflation. Their navy is gone. Their air force is gone. Their anti-aircraft equipment is gone. Their last week in the Hormone Strait, which we have almost total control - I would say total, but every once in a while they'll drop a mine and then disrupt things a little bit. But we have virtually total control of the Hormone Strait. And in fact, in the last three days, more oil has come out of the Hormone Strait than at any time in the history of the Hormone Strait. I'm not just talking about - I'm not talking about - since the war, I'm saying at any time in history. It's been pent up. So we don't - you know, the fake news isn't like talking about it, but I like talking about it. But think of it. So we have a war that was over in 148 minutes. We have another one where we're six months in, and we have - you know, their military is totally wiped out, and we're going to have that war won very quickly one way or the other. They'll either be one way or the other. Does everyone know what that means?

250th anniversary, you've heard a lot about this, of our founding in Philadelphia, the Continental Congress. The second Continental Congress met, and they came up with a declaration, the Declaration of Independence. What is this all about? You know, we celebrate it. What is it all about? Let me ask you a question. If our country was about to be defeated by a communist regime, would you be concerned about that? I would. I think we all would. We have an entire military build-up to try and ensure that that doesn't happen. Would you be concerned if some Islamist regime, either the Iranian regime or some other regime, was seeking to destroy us both directly with nuclear missiles and infiltrate our country with terrorists and so forth? Of course you would be concerned. I would be concerned. What if I told you that is exactly what's happening right now in the United States? The enemy within, these Marxist communists and these Islamists. What if I were to tell you in our 250th anniversary of the founding of our nation, they believe they're on the precipice of a grand victory, where they intend to take over the House of Representatives, which they hate, and the United States Senate, which they want to abolish, and to control the Supreme Court, which they want to pack and destroy its independence and create a Democrat Party Politburo, and change the election procedures, get rid of the electoral college in only 12 to 14 blue states and really blue metropolitan areas, are heard when it comes to national elections, three fourths of the states, and many of you, you may vote, but it won't matter? What if I were to tell you that they want to deconstruct the Constitution in order to ram through their agenda? They want to eliminate the filibuster in the Senate, which kind of destroys the whole purpose of the Senate, doesn't it? And turn it into one big majority rule, single vote, a single election, where they can change the nation forever and destroy our constitutional republic. Do you realize that's what's on the ballot? Do you realize that is what's on the ballot in November? Now, let me be very clear about something. If you read these Washington DC pundits and operators and listen to some of the podcasts, they will tell you about the incompetence of the Republican Party. They will tell you about the incompetence of the messaging and so forth and so on. I'm not here to discuss that. I'm here to discuss us, we, the people, you, Mr. and Mrs. America. This constitutional system was set up to represent you and me. It's the consent of the government. It's right there in the Declaration of Independence as well. That's why we had a revolution, among other reasons. And so I want to talk about this with you. Part of the problem we have is that Marxism comes down to a skinny little book like this, even though Marx wrote many things with Engels and so forth, it comes down to the Little Communist Manifesto, which was written by Marx and Engels in plain English, plain German, plain Italian and every other language they can think of to promote what? A civilizational revolution. Not a nation state revolution, a global revolution. Just like this guy, the Ayatollah Khomeini. They're not interested in Iran only. This is a civilizational revolution. They want to conquer the entire world. They want to conquer the entire world. And they're busy conquering many, many areas of the world, especially Europe right now. But Europe is not the United States of America. Do we know why Europe is not the United States of America? Because of how this nation was established and the basis for its founding. You know what the basis for the nation's founding is? We talk about the Judeo-Christian belief system. That's this. The Holy Scripture. It's true. In fact, every one of the prominent founders, every single one of them who was in that Second Continental Congress in Philadelphia, they spoke about what? The Hebrew Bible. What's the Hebrew Bible? For Christians, that would be the Old Testament. For Jews, that would be the Torah. The Hebrew Bible. Madison spent a year at what is now Princeton studying, even memorizing, the Hebrew Bible. Adams, John Adams, references the Hebrew Bible over and over and over again. Jefferson the same. Washington the same. Why did they do that? Why did they do that? If you read the New Testament, there is constant references to the Old Testament. There's constant references to what we call today Israel and the Holy Land. There's constant references, of course, to Jesus, who was Jewish. The apostles, who were Jewish. The prophets, who were Jewish. The Christian majority, and let me be clear, at America's founding, the Christian majority was the overwhelming, overwhelming faith, overwhelming faith of the colonists and the founders. But for the Christian majority, and but for those Christian founders who were in Philadelphia at the Second Continental Congress, who were in Philadelphia at the Constitutional Convention, what we talk about, the Judeo-Christian values and belief systems would never have been established as the basis for the founding of the United States of America. And there was one other element, the Enlightenment. The Enlightenment. Now, how do we know that the Enlightenment played such a big part as well? No other than Thomas Jefferson, in a letter to Henry Lee in 1825, now they're aiming at originality of principles, he's talking about the Declaration, or a sentiment, nor yet copied from any particular and previous writing. It was intended, the Declaration, to be an expression of the American mind, and to give to that expression the proper tone and spirit called for by the occasion. All its authority rests then on the harmonizing sentiments of the day, whether expressed in conversation, in letters, printed essays, or in the elementary books of public right, as Aristotle, Cicero, Locke, Sidney, etc. Locke, second treatise on government, Montesquieu, the spirit of laws, he was the most important of the Enlightenment philosophers during the Constitutional period, Cicero, who'd been a senator in Rome, and he was killed for his thoughts, daring to challenge the emperor. We have Sidney, every year of him, this book, Discourses, it was only published after he was hanged by the king, who knew he was writing such a book, Aristotle, the complete works of Aristotle, right here. I know, most people don't do what I do, I'm kind of a nerd about this stuff, and that's part of the problem. That's part of the problem, we're up against this, the communist manifesto, with a few phrases, you know, a few slogans, health care for all, workers' paradise, equality, on and on and on, tyranny, totalitarianism, that's what this is all about, that's what Khomeini and Islamism is all about, this, this, from the Hebrew Bible, from the Bible period, from these great thinkers of the Enlightenment, from these great men even before the Enlightenment, talking about liberty and individualism, representative government and private property rights, that's what America is founded on, that's what America is all about. So if you believe in cultural communism, and the Democrat Party now believes in that, if you believe in economic socialism, and the Democrat Party now believes in that, if you believe in deconstructing our constitutional system, where power takes power, where power is diversified, so the mob can't take control, and a dictator or an oligopoly of sorts can't take control, that's the Democrat Party that seeks to deconstruct it, all the genius, all the history, all the wars, all that went before this election in November, to create this tremendous society, this tremendous culture, that's right, all of it is at stake right now, over the price of a gallon of gasoline, over the price of a gallon of diesel fuel, it's just a dollar too much, people are saying, and government is not responding to me the way I want it to respond, it's not giving me what I want and what I demand, and jealousies are created, successful people, the more successful, the more they're supposed to be hated, Marx. The more wealth we create, apparently it's never enough, it's incredible that this fantastic society, this fantastic culture, this fantastic representative republic, humanity has never seen anything like it, nothing as humane as this country has ever existed, anywhere since the beginning of mankind, one election, this November, can change the course of human history, I am not overstating it, I started the program by saying, what if we were threatened or attacked by a communist regime, we'd all say, no no, we've got to do something about this, or in an Islamist country, no no no, we have to do something about this, what if the enemy is within, what do we, the people do about this, well we only have one, one recourse to vote, the consent of the government, let me ask you something, all you out there, does mandami represent your views, does el-sayed represent your views, do these islamist imams who talk about overthrowing our country and destroying our face and forcing us to adhere to their faith, do they represent your views, do they, tell me does bernie sanders a communist, does he represent your views, do these people who talk about deconstructing the constitution attacking capitalism, do they represent your views, it's a government by the consent of the government, if we don't vote in bigger numbers than those who support communism and islamism than those who seek to deconstruct our constitution, than those who seek to destroy our market commerce capitalist system and replace it with a socialist top-down redistributive system, then they win, and the thing about them is, they don't need multiple elections to institute what they want to institute, just one, just one, we've seen it all over the world, you see to understand the democrat party, you need to understand it's always been a party about power, never a party about liberty, never a party about representative government, never a party about americanism, can you imagine a political party that stood for slavery for decades, that was the party of the confederacy, can you imagine a political party of the democrat party that supported segregation and separate but equal, for more than half a century after the civil war, can you imagine a political party that supported the clan and lynchings, oh yes, lynchings of black people, in 1940 the so-called great franklin roosevelt received a bill from congress to outlaw nationwide lynching and he wouldn't sign it, the greatest democrat president ever right, because he was afraid he would lose votes in one or two southern states, he wouldn't sign it, even though it was a bipartisan bill, can you imagine that, can you imagine a political party, the democrat party that supported eugenics for blacks, Woodrow Wilson, can you imagine a political party, a democrat party that supported poll taxes, literacy tests, jim crow as they called it, it's funny the modern democrats cite it all the time, they're citing the people whose shoulders they stand on and today the democrat party, true to form, supports the most hideous, diabolical, destructive ideology of the hall, communism, and one of the most hideous, vile, diabolical belief systems at all, this radical islamism, backs candidates, wants them to win, because the democrat party, like communist parties all over the world, the party comes first, chairman Xi has been here, he's chairman of what, is he chairman of communist, he's chairman of the communist party of china, the party rules, the party is in charge, so everything that this nation was founded on, the bible, Judeo-Christian belief systems, the enlightenment, the wars that have been fought, the flag that is carried, the national holidays that we celebrate, the 250th anniversary of the founding of our great country, is all at stake in this election, because of the radicalism, the insanity, the vile poison that has become the democrat party, the party of Hamas, the party of care, the party of the democratic socialists of America, communists, the party that wants to deconstruct our judicial system in the supreme court, the party that wants to deconstruct our voting system so they never lose, the party that wants the borders wide open, to replace the citizenry in the amakas, the replacement theory, it's not a theory, it's a reality, so they can gerrymander to their heart's desire and make sure they control the house of representatives, the house, the senate, the supreme court, all at stake, separation of powers, the key, the core to our constitution, that's this election, the founders told us and the framers argued repeatedly about this one word, you know what this word is, you know what this word is, virtue, every single one of them said, if the people lose their virtue, if public virtue is lost, the nation will not survive, because our entire construct is based on the virtue of the people, representative government, the consent of the people, voting of the people, it's the people, if they lose their virtue, it doesn't matter what the constitution says, it doesn't matter what all these men wrote and died for, it won't even matter what's in the holy bible, if the people lose their virtue, the people will lose their country, they will lose their society, and I would tell you this, there's another word that goes along with virtue, will, do we have the will to survive, we have men and women as I said who go off the water to protect this society, all we have to do is vote, all we have to do is out vote the enemy, the enemy within, do we have the will, Mr. and Mrs. America, to save our country from permanent destruction, this November, this is not hyperbole, you've heard what they've said, it almost doesn't matter what the republicans have to say, we're in charge, we're the sovereign, this is our country, this is the country we want for our children and grandchildren, are we prepared to vote, because that's all it's going to take in numbers like never before, in a midterm election, to preserve what was created 250 years ago, to the benefit of us and our children and grandchildren, the greatest, most humane, the most prosperous, the most diverse and free country ever established by human beings, are we, do we still have virtue and do we have the will, that's the question and we'll know the answer.

Lots of talk about affordability, or is there? I don't even hear a lot of talk about it anymore, but still, there's a lot of grumbling about it on the internet, there's a lot of people talking about it. And one of the things they're saying is, if you understood the mindset of young people, you would understand what the problem is. They're leaving Trump by the zillions, and they expect us to do something to help them. And so you have some people proposing sort of socialism-like. These are from so-called conservatives who become pseudo-conservers. The populists, of course, are all over this, because in many ways, they're the socialists. And so more government and more spending, despite the $40 trillion debt going to $50 trillion, and despite, at some point, the need to do something about Social Security and Medicare, Social Security in six years, say the trustees, is going to lose money and go broke, and in seven years, followed by Medicare. So Washington proposes what Washington's best at, spending more debt, redistribution of wealth, stealing from you and the private sector. So let's get into this. I want the Democrats, specifically, to answer a few questions, and the media hosts, particularly on these Sunday network magazine shows or news shows, maybe they'll try asking some actual questions when they have Democrat Party guests. Please specifically spell out your affordability agenda. You raised gasoline prices when Biden was president. How will you lower them when you raised them last time? You raised food prices when Biden was president. How will you lower them when you raised them last time? You raised inflation when Biden was president. How will you lower it when you raised it last time? You raised the cost of living for average Americans. How will you lower it when you raised it last time? You raised healthcare costs when Obama was president by passing Obamacare, not a single Republican voted for that. How will you lower it when you raised it under Obama by expanding it and calling it Medicare for all? Well, they don't have any answers, you know, they'll just say tax billionaires or something like that. But I want to take a little bit of a deeper dive here and talk some turkey with you. People talk about in the 1950s and '60s, people could afford a home, they could afford a car, they had modest incomes, not anymore, not anymore. We need to get back to that. So I looked, in the 1950s and '60s, young adults in their early 20s and 30s, well, they had lower average incomes, more family-based households and less access to credit. This meant that while they might have spent a larger share of income on certain categories, like cars or housing, the absolute dollar amounts that they spent were generally lower than today's young adults in their 30s and 40s. Young adults in the 1950s and '60s by today's age had lower total spending than today's young adults in their 30s and 40s due to lower incomes in different economic conditions. Core spending takes up the greatest share of income for the youngest and oldest generations. Core spending, that trend can be explained in part due to changes in income. Peak earning occurs in middle age, obviously not when you're just starting out and obviously not when you're retired or retiring. Even in the dollar value of household spending, that goes up as someone approaches middle age. The increase in household income on average outpaces the increase in spending. So when you're really kicking into your career or your business or whatever it is you're doing. Medical expenses are the smallest percentage of budgets for the youngest adult generation. So they're paying lower than any other generation when it comes to medical expenses. Young adults today are much more likely than their counterparts 30 years ago to be college graduates. But that comes with a cost. College tuition is expensive. Most students wanna live away from home and go to schools away from home. So in addition to tuition, you have room and board on top of tuition. That said, those with college degrees over the course of their lifetime, they earn significantly more than those without. Although for many at the start of their career, they have college loan debt and perhaps other debt they've acquired, such as cars and credit cards for eating out or vacations that put great pressure on their incomes. Again, when they're starting out, their incomes are those of junior employees. Young women have made greater gains at attending college than young men. From 1993 to 2023, the share of young women, ages 25 to 34, with at least a four-year college degree rose from 23 to 47%. And among young men, the increase was smaller, 24 to 38%. Therefore, the debt spending income scenario can be even more widespread among young women and especially among single women. So in other words, much of this has nothing to do with government, nothing to even do with government policies. These are lifestyle decisions. In other words, the benefit for many young people in going to college doesn't actually come until several years or even a decade or more after they graduate. They pay down both student debt and other expenses they've incurred. So in the long run, the degree is typically beneficial. In the short run, depending on lifestyle decisions and spending habits, it can create more financial difficulty. The 1950s and '60s, fewer Americans went to college. Young people started work early. They didn't make big purchases requiring lots of debt, no student loans, not new cars. They lived more modestly in the types of homes and vehicles they might buy. They ate home at home more often than going out to restaurants. They didn't travel as much, so they didn't use airlines. They didn't go to hotels and that sort of thing. Maybe they drive for a three-day vacation or something like that. Family expectations were different. In limited consumer goods were available. Goods like sugar and meat were still rationed in the early 1950s, and refrigerators were a luxury for some households. Colored TV didn't even exist for most households until starting in the early '60s and beyond. Leisure was often local and low cost. Kids played outside, not a whole bunch of computers and video games. Clothing was practical and modest. While the 1950s and '60s saw economic growth, many young people's lives were marked by modest living. And so some young people had brought these circumstances onto themselves. It's not the system, it's not capitalism. It's not even government. We have gotten so good at producing so many consumer products, leisure products, and so forth and so on, that people wanna partake of them. They wanna acquire them. But sometimes they outpace their income, particularly when they're young people, particularly if they go to college, particularly if they take out student loans, and they live away from home with tuition and board. And all those expenses pile up. It's a bigger percentage of young people than 30, 40, 50 years ago. And I wanna talk about gas prices. We're told that a gallon of gasoline, if we can get the price of gasoline down, we Republicans will win the midterm elections. Gas prices may feel like a record in 2026, but adjusted for inflation, they are not, writes Dr. Randall Olson. We're told gas is the most expensive it has been in years. The war headlines are everywhere. And he says the record gas prices, it's back in everyone's feed. The pump number stings, but adjust for inflation and the record evaporates. US gas costs more in 1981 than it does today. More in 2008 than it does today. Again, inflation adjusted. More in 2022 under Biden than it does today. The number on the pump is near an all-time high. What a gallon actually costs you in real money is nowhere near an all-time high. 2008 is still the one to beat, he writes. The real all-time high was June 2008 at $6.20 a gallon in today's money. 1981 was worse too. 1981 held the record before 2008, took it. March 1981, regular gas hit, again, inflation adjusted. Regular gas, $5.32 a gallon in today's dollars. Oh yes. Even in 2022, a few years back, the most recent peak is the one people remember. When Russia invaded Ukraine, the national average set an all-time record just above $5 a gallon in June 2022. That was the highest price ever at the pump in plain dollars adjusted for inflation. It works out to about $5.50 for a gallon of regular gasoline still above spring 2026 and still short of 2008. And if you live in California, my son, our son took a picture of the prices at the pump. They are unbelievable. You got 72 cents a gallon sales tax in California, the highest in the nation by far. Other expenses that they add on to gasoline and oil out there, it is nuts. And they want you to blame Trump and they want you to blame the Iran war and on and on and on. No, I've said it before and let me underscore it again. The prices for gasoline, the prices for everything when it comes to energy is higher due to what we call Democrats. What about housing prices? As of June 2026, the last information that is comparative, the inflation adjusted US home price index is 170.2 up from 169 in May of this year. But that's 3.8% below the highest May 2022. That was the record 176.9. This is the number they use to compare income to housing prices. So the highest it's been was in May 2022, 3.8% higher than it is today. That means that when stripped of inflation housing prices, they're still near an all time high. And by the way, for investors, they like that. For first time buyers, they obviously don't, but it's not at the peak that it was under Biden in 2022. I just told you that gasoline at its peak was higher in the 1980s and highest under Joe Biden. I just told you that housing prices were highest, highest under Joe Biden. But you don't hear this. You don't hear it anywhere really. The two highest points were 2006, the housing bubble and 2022, the post pandemic surge. Now there's no accounting for what Democrats do in these blue states and these blue metropolitan areas. Take Mondami, the Marxist Islamist. Oh yes, socialism he supports. Well, let's take rent control. What does rent control do? Let's think for a second. They lock in rent prices back to a given year or time. Now people who are renting and are older, they love it. They love it because they're gonna have a fixed rental price whether the landlord likes it or not, whether his or her expenses go up or not, whether utility prices and taxes go up or not, they don't care. It's just wonderland. We love socialism, rent control. But what does that do? It limits the number of units. You have to be nuts to be a developer and go in and say, you know what, I'm gonna build a whole bunch of new rental properties just so I can have rent control at some point. No, because if a government can put in rent control today it can put it in tomorrow. That's not Trump's fault. That's not Israel's fault. That's Mondami's fault. That's the fault of the socialists who drive up the cost of everything. And not only is affordability an issue, but availability is an issue. Okay, I wanna address another topic before we go to our guests and that is Iran. I wanna be very blunt about this. This is not a war between the United States and Iran or the United States and Israel versus Iran. This is a civilizational war. You see, we don't quite understand the enemy. We can't seem to get our heads around it. I'm afraid some of our generals can't, some of our advisors can't. This is a civilizational war, certainly from the perspective of the enemy. Khomeini in 1979, he was not interested merely in taking over a nation state, a country. He is spreading an ideology. He is spreading Islam. He seeks to conquer the West. He seeks to conquer obviously an entire Middle East. He and his followers. Israel is a big problem to that agenda because the Jews don't intend to go easily. In fact, they don't intend to go at all. They have a serious military, one of the most powerful on the face of the earth and certainly one of the most experienced on the face of the earth because they're facing enemies, they're surrounded day in and day out. We are war hardened too, but not in the same way. Not in the same way. My concern is this. We've heard from generals talking about off-ramps. We've heard generals say that we have limited munitions, whether they've said it anonymously or however, same with advisors who said the same thing. They're leaking to the media. We had an MOU that was never going to work. The enemy, you know, they have an agreement and two minutes later they violate it. So we're constantly looking for ways to negotiate our way out of this. You wanna end this war? I will give you my best thought on this. I want us to win. I want the administration to succeed. I want my friend, President Trump, to be the greatest president, including wartime president in American history. And what he's done so far is unparalleled. Seven prior presidents, you know, chose to do next to nothing. Some of them even subsidized the enemy. Some of them subsidized their nuclear program. The fact is that this president had to act, did act. He couldn't wait. The enemy told his envoy that we could make 11 nuclear bombs in 10 days. Our intelligence said we needed to act and it was imminent. But it is a civilizational war. You can't contain the enemy no matter what's negotiated if it's ever negotiated. The enemy will not comply. The enemy will not agree to anything. The enemy views us as a bump in the road. Whether it's the first tier, the second tier, the third tier, or the 10th tier of this regime. If we want to defeat this enemy, we've got to use all that's available to us to destroy it. That includes arming the Iranian people, as I've said for half a year, as was the Reagan doctrine. Now there may be generals and advisors telling the commander in chief, "No, the risk averse and so forth and so on." There is no effective off-ramp. Arming those people with the help of the Israelis, who we've sidelined, with the help of Mossad, working with the CIA, will make a huge, huge difference as it has in the recent past in other countries, among other things. There is no reason Karg Island is off the table in some of these other infrastructure facilities. I don't care what the Arabs say, ignore them. I don't care what Erdogan says, ignore him. This is a civilizational war that we must win. It is a righteous war. We have a courageous president. I don't think we'll see another one like him. It's now or never.

Welcome back America, we're here with our friend Ben Shapiro who's in great demand. I have trouble getting Ben, he's in great demand and for good reason. The Ben Shapiro show, one of the biggest podcasts in the country, he's the Daily Wire editor Emeritus. He's got a great new film out of which he's producer, Run Hide, Fight, Infidels. It's a new movie exclusively on the Daily Wire and I cannot recommend it enough. I've seen it, it's fantastic. By the way, lots of action-oriented, I love it. No PC, I love that too. We can talk about it a little bit later. You know, Ben, we have this very odd woke-right isolationist element. I won't say within the Republican Party, they seem to hate the Republican Party, but they are of a similar mindset, I remember, of the George McGoverns of old, their similar mindset of the Papucans of old, and now of the Marxist Islamists on the hard left, pushing, pushing for isolationism and so forth. And yet, when we look at the Fox survey, Iran is a 4% issue with the American people. So whatever happens in the midterms, it doesn't appear that Iran is going to drive anything one way or another. What's your take on this? I think that's exactly right. Obviously, there is a contingent who would love to see President Trump too poorly in the midterms, who want Republicans to lose. Some of these people are openly saying they want Republicans to lose, by the way. Some of them are openly standing in favor of the pro-terrorism candidate in Michigan, Abdul Al Sayyed. So there are some people who are attempting to destroy the Republican Party from within in the hopes that they will then be able to sort of take over whatever remains of the Republican Party. I don't think that it's going to work. You know, when you look at the Iran issue, there's one thing that Americans hate more than anything else when it comes to foreign policy. And it is not foreign conflict. It is losing. It is losing. And the reality is that the president has done yeoman's work in reopening the Strait of Hormuz and putting the United States in a position to really finish off the Iranian regime without having to put boots on the ground in Iran. The president has to within his capacity to essentially finish the Iranian economy with a single bombing sortie over Karg Island or South Pars. The biggest thing, I think, that is the obstacle right now to just completing that victory is it's just a matter of decision making. Does the president actually believe that a deal is on the table or does he not? I'm very skeptical the Iranians are ever gonna put a worthwhile deal on the table. But as you say, the American people are significantly less interested in any foreign policy issue than they are with how things are going here in the United States. And if the economic numbers continue to boom in the stock market, if they can use well and the unemployment numbers, if the wages increase to keep up with the inflation and inflation drops, then Republicans will do fine in the midterms and the rest of the presidency will be a success. It really is almost that simple. But I'm hearing the the whispers. I think they're telling the president, they're certainly telling the media that if we go full bore and finish them off, and I believe that we can go full bore and finish them off, that if we do that, the price of fuel will even go higher to two hundred dollars a gallon. Isn't this what the isolationist said when this started? They didn't say that it would go to a hundred dollars a barrel. They said it would go to two hundred dollars a barrel, that we would lose thousands of troops. Everything they said is false. And I fear that they're repeating it and the Arab countries are all looking out for themselves. Turkey of course has greater, you know, desires about the region and so forth and so on. If we're going to do America first, and these other countries aren't aligning with us to quote the vice president, then why should we listen to them? Well, let's get it over with. Well, this is my view. I mean, I think that the president is on the verge of a world-shaking historic victory in Iran. And again, the oil prices, yes, they are higher obviously than they were before the conflict, but if you would like for the oil prices to be very high in perpetuity, please pull out as soon as possible and allow Iran free reign over the Strait of Hormuz and the Houthis free reign over the Babylon Mountains fray and the capacity to hit the east-west pipeline in Saudi Arabia. That is a great way to ensure that in a permanent basis Americans are paying a higher price for oil in the global markets. So again, the only way out is through here. Yeah, obviously the president's hit on this very successful economic strategy for strangling the Iranian economy. I do think it's going to take a final topple in order for the Iranian regime to actually change its behavior or fall. Yeah, I don't think that it's going to happen through them just giving up the ghost in a form of negotiations. But as you say, Mark, there is no substitute for victory, there never has been. I think you're quite right and I think we both agree that what the president has done up to now, as you said, is historic. What the president has done has actually created the circumstance, the environment, for finishing them off. And I think this is a very, very big deal what he's been able to accomplish so far and I think he will finish them off in the end because I don't think there's really much else that we can do that will work. We'll be right back. Welcome back, America. You know, Ben Shapiro, I'm noticing a few of the real rhinos, you know, they use that word very loosely, but real rhinos, which are liberal Republicans, basically. I noticed some of them are starting to peel off, you're starting to panic, they're starting to choke rather than stand strung. Let me ask you a question. If you're running for Congress, whether it's the House or the Senate, shouldn't you have the rudimentary capacity to express your principle, to make the case, to articulate it in plain English? Isn't there a lot of good that the Republicans can talk about in terms of both the administration's policies, as well as the bad that the Democrats are the worst as they've ever been? I think that's exactly right. I mean, the thing that I think Republicans, again, need to keep hammering home is, regardless of what you think of the president, obviously, I'm very pro, or the administration, obviously, I'm very pro. But regardless of what you think of that, the only thing that people should really be worried about is what's on the other side of that coin? Do they think that by staying home, the country gets better? What happens when you have a pro-terrorism candidate in Michigan, Abdullah Sayed, who actually is in the United States Senate? What happens when you have a supporter of every radical policy on transing the kids, like James Tallarico in Texas, sitting in the United States Senate? What happens when Democrats have majorities in the House and the Senate and then use every waking moment in order to target Republicans, Republican legislators, and members of the administration, and drag down the administration and restore woke in a far more radical form than it ever was under Joe Biden? You know, the great lie I think a lot of Republicans have told themselves is that woke is dead, that President Trump did such a thorough job of destroying the left, that they can never recover, they'll never come back. They are waiting. They are waiting, and they are watching, and they are ready to pounce. And in the meantime, while they've been out of power, they've gotten more radical, not less radical. They did not moderate in the wake of 2024. They decided that they were essentially going to negotiate the terms of their own surrender to the Democratic Socialists. They were going to turn themselves into the party of Zoran Mamdani, not turn themselves into the party of Scoop Jackson. And so this sort of bizarre story that a lot of Republicans have told themselves, which is that, you know, if we stay home, no big deal, it's a way to punish the president. It's a way of punishing yourself, because what you're gonna end up with is a radical Democratic Congress, and then you're gonna put them on the road to a radical Democratic regime in 2028. And it's not the Constitution and the ballot, too, given what the Democrats have said, even apart from the DSA. I mean, they've openly promised they're gonna stack the Supreme Court. They've openly promised to add a couple of new states. They've openly promised to change the voting procedures to essentially mandate ballot harvesting procedures across the country. And these are first priorities for them. And so again, the media are telling a story that Donald Trump is, quote unquote, a threat to the Republic. I don't know. I don't feel like the Republic is particularly threatened or was during his first term either. I think that what is significantly more threatening is a Democratic Party that is pledging systematic change to the way that the country itself works, breaking the machines that allow the country to work. Tell us about your movie. You worked very hard on it. Your whole team did run, hide, fight infidels. You're the producer. I saw it. It really is a tour de force. Tell us about it. Sure. Well, it's a lot of fun, and it also makes a really important point. It is the only movie that I think that's been made in the last 20 years, essentially, that tells the truth about what radical Islam actually does, but does it in a fun and entertaining way. First and foremost, a really entertaining action flick. A friend described it as sort of a mash up of red dawn, like a 1980s action flick with blazing saddles. But it's about essentially an Islamic invasion of an American college campus. A pro Hamas student protest is essentially hijacked by actual terrorists, and they take over this American university and set up a mini caliphate at the university and takes a group of red blooded students, plus a former military member in order to take them down. So it's a kind of a smash bang action flick. But again, the point of view of the movie is that radical Islam is indeed a real threat, and the radical Muslims in the film act like actual radical Muslims. One of the clips that's gone viral is them legitimately kicking a gay person off the top of a building, because that's what would happen if ISIS were to take over an American campus. You know, queers for Palestine would end up at the bottom of the building in reality, and so that's how it ends up in the movie as well. So where do people go to see it? So you can head on over to dailywire.com. Really appreciate it, Mark. And they can subscribe right now. It got much more coming. This is just the first in our sort of entertainment strategy iteration in the new form of Daily Wire. Well, I really do support independents and others who are using the entertainment genre to try and get a message out there and try and explain things, particularly the younger people. I think that's very, very important. Ben And Shapiro, God bless you my friend, be safe, take care of yourself. Thanks so much Mark.

And, in other news, a Fox News poll conducted in September 2026 shows that 4% of registered voters identify Iran/war as the most important issue facing the country. And of course, as with most things in the US, it's being weaponised against Trump. They're using it to demonstrate as evidence that people don't support this action or that Trump got it wrong when he made that decision. It is the complete opposite. So sorry to have to point out the bleeding obvious. This actually helps the Trump administration. Do you want to know why? Can you imagine if Trump had enacted, if he had done what every president prior to him had done, which is to make this the next person's problem, his children's problem? It would be something like 98% of Americans see this war as the top issue. They see Iran as the top threat. But they don't have to. Because Trump acted. He eliminated the threat. They were days away from being able to build a nuclear weapon. They killed tens of thousands of their own people with guns, their own people. And what they could do to a country like America with a nuclear weapon. So this is actually a great poll for Trump and his administration. What this says is, "Hey America, you don't have to have Iran as the top of your list of worries because I dealt with it. I sorted it. I got rid of the threat." If he hadn't have gotten rid of the threat, people in America would be living in fear right now from a nuclear attack. I'm so sorry, this actually speaks volumes. This is the gift. This is the job of a president to take care of this stuff. So everyday Americans don't have to stay awake at night thinking about Iran and what it's going to do with a nuclear weapon. So isn't this wonderful, a wonderful testament to what Trump did? Is the fact that Americans don't have to have the Islamic regime of Iran as the top thing they're worried about right now. That backs up what he did, not the opposite. It's evidence for the action to eliminate the threat, not evidence that it should never have occurred. It's very obvious to me, it should be to you too. As president of the most extraordinary nation in history, I have no interest in leaving dangers to grow for another day. I do not believe in letting problems fester. They only become harder to solve. So while others have talked, I have acted. While others have spoken of peace, I have made peace. While others have ignored threats, I have confronted them.

Axios just released a story that “Trump” offered Sanctions Relief and Frozen Funds to Iran. This is untrue. I offered them NOTHING! Axios’ story, like most others, is a HOAX, used only for purposes of satisfying their Trump Derangement Syndrome. They should withdraw this fake story, IMMEDIATELY! President DONALD J. TRUMP

Video transcript
And we begin thinking long-term, not midterm. You know, we got five weeks from an election, we know that. Control of Congress is on the line, you understand that. Every politician in Washington knows it, every pollster is talking about it. This week, President Trump made clear his vision goes beyond November because he's trying to get things done in two years, which normally take two terms. - As president of the most extraordinary nation in history, I have no interest in leaving dangers to grow for another day. I do not believe in letting problems fester. They only become harder to solve. So while others have talked, I have acted. We are solving decades of intractable challenges, and we are settling years of unfinished business, and we're doing it well. - And I know it's driving some Republicans nuts, but that's his vision. Look, it has this approach at the border, for example. He's not waiting for comprehensive immigration reform. The guy has sealed the border. He's actually almost done with the wall. He's finding those people who broke the law, came here illegally. He is rounding them up, and it's giving some people heartburn, but that's what he promised to do. Come here illegally, and you gotta get scooped up. It shouldn't be okay, because Washington failed to fix the system. That's what he ran on. That's what he talks about. And he's taking the same approach to the Capitol itself. I don't know if you've been to Washington lately, but he's building that new ballroom. Every president talked about needing an event center. He's doing it. He's fixed 48 monuments in D.C., 22 fountains, 1,000-plus graffiti sites, and the reflecting pool, I understand, is finally getting fixed the right way. His mantra is clear. For problems big and small, he's gonna identify it. He's going to fix it, and he's gonna do it fast. He's gonna do it in a way to make it last when it comes to trade. Remember Liberation Day? The rollout was rocky, no question. The markets reacted. The critics, well, they pounced. But the bigger idea was more important. Restructure a trading system that Trump believes has shortchanged America since World War II. Not one tariff, not one country, the entire system. Since then, the administration has secured 20 new trade deals, 20. Something around like Canada, I think it'll get back on track. One is about to be done. Believe it or not, it's gonna be Mexico. And the one front and center this week is China. It's obviously the most important. Has every negotiation gone smoothly? No, but the aim isn't the headline for tomorrow or a quick fix today. It's changing the terms of trade for years to come, or restructuring while bringing manufacturing back. Then there's the biggest example of all, Iran. With the war dragging on, the pressure is building. Voters are worried about the cost than they should be. The price of oil, diesel, fertilizer, it's all going up. The midterms are right around the corner. And even some Republicans are saying it's time to bring the war to an end. The war with Iran needs to end, and end quickly. War is terrible and no one likes war. The war should end yesterday. Yep, Trump knows it. But as I told you, the election is in triving this decision. They're waiting to see how I do in the midterm election. I gave absolutely no credence and will not give credence to the election when it comes to Iran. It doesn't even enter my mind. The only thing that does is that Iran will never have a nuclear weapon. His position is that whether a deal comes before November or after November, the objective does not change. No nuclear weapon, no ability to fund terror proxies and intimidate neighbors. Trump is not looking to make this better for now. And I know he's driving Republicans crazy. He knows peace in the Middle East is a pipe dream with this Iran team empowered and emboldened. He's not managing Iran. He is squeezing them. He's trying to fix not for now, but forever. And what about munitions? We got to win wars with munitions. We keep seeing the headlines warning about the capacity of America's defense industrial base. But Trump is the one building up our arsenal. The cowards and traders would love to say the United States is low on munitions, but that's not true. We have more munitions than we could ever possibly even think of using, and we're building them at levels that we have never done before. In the very near future, massive munitions plants will be opening. There are 18 of them being built by the greatest defense companies in the world. Right now, 18 under construction. Yes, he's spreading them out. There used to be a big four, now there's 18. Not just for more missiles next month, the capacity to make more missiles for years, new systems. And that brings us to maybe the biggest long-term challenge of all, AI. The United States is racing China for this technology to transform our economy. It's also fueling our economy now. It's gonna transform our military. America, well, we're in the lead, about nine to 12 months in the lead. The question is whether we keep that lead. And at the same time, figuring out how to keep a technology this powerful from becoming a threat itself. And that can't be answered by a November poll. That's a debate that will outlive this election and this presidency. But when he hands off the Oval Office, you can be sure we will still be leading the world on artificial intelligence, or as he calls it, super intelligence. These aren't six-week problems, more like 60-year issues. And the president appears determined not to hand them to somebody else, Democrat or Republican, because this isn't just a midterm plan. It's not a reelection plan, it's an American plan. And joining us now is Fox News contributor from The Wall Street Journal, Kim Strassl. So Kim, I know you wrote a lot about this. You've been in a lot of personal briefings with the President of the United States. Do you see him thinking big picture like I just outlined? - Oh yeah, and Brian, by the way, this is why Americans voted for the guy, right? After decades of feeling as though they had politicians that said, "Oh, I'll solve this, I'll solve this," then nothing happens. They wanted someone who was gonna go in and break China. And by the way, just to add a couple of more things to the list that you laid out there, you know, just this week you had Vice President J.D. Vance come out, say they're taking more than 750,000 phantom accounts off of Obamacare. I mean, this is the fraud that's been sitting there in the United States government. For decades, nobody's done anything about. So it causes some disruption. I think it leaves some voters feeling unsettled, but stuff is getting done. - The other thing is rare earth. He's on a two-year plan to get another rare earth. He's gonna mine in this country. We never should have stopped, but environmentalists had a lot to do with that. But now he's cutting deals with Australia and the Far East and Central and South America. And I'll add something else. He's cleaning up our own hemisphere for the first time really in my lifetime. China and Russia are being pushed out. So is communism, Cuba's next. - Yeah, it's remarkable. On the rare earth, things also think they just netted that Greenland deal, which is one of the biggest sources of rare earths everywhere. And part of that deal says, "Hey, you can sell it to us, but you can't sell it to our adversaries." That was a big question mark, and that's done. - Yeah, I mean, this is one of those things that you've done this before. We're in the middle of a play-by-play and you think you understand a presidency. I think we're gonna understand his presidency a lot better two or three years out. But we're in the middle of it now. But let me just do something I just told you I wasn't gonna do. Let's drill down on November and midterms. And let's talk about Alaska. Mary Peltola, nine separate former staffers came out and says this woman's got a huge attitude problem, a rage issue, correct? - Right, and this is a problem for her. Look, I don't know how many committed Peltola voters are gonna care that much. But these are the kind of stories that come out and it says, "Complete mayhem among their staff, people quitting or being fired." It suggests a politician that has a lot of problems. And that matters a lot. You get some of these middle-of-the-road voters, they either decide they don't want that or they just decide they're not interested in going out to vote that day for her. So that's a real depressor when it comes to turn out for her. And I think is a boon for Dan S. Sullivan, the actual Dan S. Sullivan, the incumbent in the race. - I gotta read this to you. You're not gonna believe it. It's in your rival newspaper. It says, "This is what you said about Planned Parenthood. "One of her angry outbursts slurs and firings, "Tumult rocks a key Senate campaign is the headline. "Peltola also disparaged Planned Parenthood, "particularly one of its regional board members "running for reelection for the 2024 House seat. "Peltola was frustrated about the organization's scrutiny "of our deliberations over how to vote on a defense bill. "She said, quote, 'I hope Planned Parenthood knows "'that if we don't win, it's more their loss than ours.' "'F' those 'B's,' she later wrote in a text message "to her staff in January 2024 "that was viewed by the New York Times. "She also went on to say, 'Peltola, "'I hope she dies of a botched abortion.' "She also had a gay slur and made fun of people "with maybe who have mental issues." - Yeah, no, look, Mary Peltola has already had some issues up here. Remember, she briefly served as a House member representing Alaska, and that was because she won, essentially, because of Alaska's goofy rank choice system. So she essentially won by default. Now, this year, there is a nasty trick going on in Alaska, Brian, where there's this decoy Dan Sullivan candidate who has purely been put, clearly been put, on the ballot with help from Democrats to try to confuse voters and get them to draw votes away from the incumbent Dan Sullivan. But I think all of this adds up to show the desperation a bit of this campaign, and the problem she has, when she's trashing on kind of loyal Democratic outside groups, she's got a, it shows the frustration and the problems there. - Kim, I wanna get to Texas real quick, 'cause James Talarico is leading. If I look at the latest poll, he's up by six. That's a mayor's survey, real clear average, up by three over Ken Paxson. But with Talarico's doing a little bit different, he's changing all his views. He now says, I'm gonna work with Donald Trump on the border. I am for oil and gas. I wanna debate Ken Paxson on Fox News with Brett Baer as the moderator. And he's telling all his Democrats, don't come. I wanna act like a Republican. Does that, is that a strategy that could be successful in Texas when the others have failed Democrats? - Well, look, I think what's adding up here in Texas is, remember, this is a red state, by the way. And a lot of people who have moved to Texas too, because they want that kind of politics. So he's already facing an uphill thing. And I always question this, Democrats ran out and they recruited all these people. Oh, you know, here's a seminarian in Texas and we'll roll them out. Then people find out what his actual views are. So now he's trying to cloak those actual past views. Are Texans gonna buy it? I don't know. But one of the problems here too is, you know, Paxson's having trouble. There was a very messy primary down there and a lot of Republicans are still pretty bitter about that. So he's gotta motivate his base as well too. - He's getting like $200 million. They're gonna flood the system, see what happens. See what kind of debate that would be. Kim Strassle, always great to have you on. Thanks so much.

NATO has shaped Europe's security since 1949. But now tension between the U.S. and the rest of the alliance has grown as the Trump administration pushes a NATO 3.0 idea that Europe should take the lead on its own conventional defense. And the Department of War has launched a six-month review that could lead to the biggest U.S. drawdown in Europe since the 1990s. Today we head to Spain, one of the countries that's been a big Trump critic, to take stock of Trump's impact on NATO. To understand the friction between the U.S. and NATO, we travel to the capital of Spain, Madrid... Lost steps because this is the place where... And walk the historic halls of the Senate with Senator Fernando Gutierrez from the Conservative Party. And this is Christopher Columbus who... Gutierrez is a retired general who leads the parliamentary assembly delegation that advises NATO. He agreed to address President Trump's beef with Spain and other NATO allies, which began with Trump demanding they pony up more for their own security. Do you believe that his actions and rhetoric are reasonable or irresponsible? Well, I think his behavior is too aggressive sometimes. And that's what he presents, an aggressive posture. But the principles behind that aggressive posture are understood for everyone. Everyone understands that we have to share our responsibilities. There was an additional rift expressed by President Trump when he felt like he didn't get the support that he wanted with the action involving Iran. How do you view that? Because you are part of NATO, you have to do what I believe you have to do. It's not how NATO work. Here in Spain, U.S. taxpayers have poured billions of dollars into two military bases. But when the U.S. and Israel wanted to use them for refueling and strikes against Iran, Spain said no. President Trump accused Spain of freeloading while the U.S. does the heavy lifting. When the U.S. struck Iran in February with Operation Epic Fury, Spain was one of the strongest opponents. The nation's socialist prime minister, Pedro Sanchez, called the war illegal and unjustified. Spain actually said that we can't use their bases, and that's all right, we could use their bases. We want we could just fly in and use it. Nobody's going to tell us not to use it, but we don't have to. But they were unfriendly. And so I told him that we don't want to -- Spain has absolutely nothing that we need other than great people. They have great people. Trump hasn't limited his criticism to Spain. He's threatened to withdraw the U.S. from NATO entirely. Look, we went to NATO. I didn't ask very strongly. I just said, hey, if you want to help, great. No, no, no, we will not help. I said, that's all right. You don't want to help? Because I've always said NATO is a paper tiger, because they haven't helped at all. Just the opposite. They've actually gone out of their way not to help. They didn't even want to give us landing strips. In Washington, the United States breaks a 170-year-old tradition as it joins -- The U.S. helped create NATO in 1949 to counter Soviet expansion after World War II. In 2024, full measure got the rare chance to embed in live-fire NATO exercises in northeast Poland. U.S. forces led troops from Britain, Croatia, and Romania. Special Integrat Russia is about 60 kilometers to our north. U.S. withdrawal from NATO would be earth-shattering. It could trigger the collapse of the 77-year-old alliance, weaken Europe's security, and embolden Russia and China. In Spain, we don't agree with a war that doesn't have any support from the United Nations. There are international rules to follow. Vivian Ogou is a left-leaning member of Spanish Parliament. For sure, we don't understand the positions of Trump. Trump is generating diplomatic tensions worldwide, creating -- putting the sanctions. That's not how international community should be working. It's -- the United States is stopping to be a reliable partner and is generating a lot of tensions, economic tensions, political tensions that have an impact on markets, that have an impact on prices, that have an impact in people. President Trump's threats have generated backlash beyond Spain. Member of Parliament Alex Ballinger is a Royal Marine veteran in the U.K. and a member of the Democratic Socialist Labor Party. When looking at NATO and defense when it comes to the United Kingdom, what are your thoughts on President Trump saying something needs to change? I think there has been a bit of concern about Donald Trump's comments about walking away from NATO. Some things he's got right. We do need to invest more in defense, both in this country and in Europe, and countries are now doing that. There is an element of burden-sharing to do, but it is so much in both of our interests that I think there would be an expectation that we're better working together on this stuff rather than dividing ourselves at this very dangerous time. But amid the criticism, NATO Secretary General Mark Ruda has emerged as President Trump's strongest defender, most famously after Trump used an expletive when comparing Israel and Iran to two kids in a schoolyard. Let him fight for about two or three minutes, then it's easier to stop him. And then daddy has to sometimes do strong language to do that stuff. Yeah, he is strong language. Every once in a while you have to use a certain word. After that remark, Ruda's approach with Trump quickly became known as "Daddy diplomacy." There's one point even Trump's critics concede. Only because of his pressure, NATO allies met the target of spending at least two percent of their economy on their own military for the first time last year, and they've committed to five percent by 2035. Because I want to show you what this president was able to achieve. And let's start with this chart. This chart is about the Trump children. The Trump children shows you the increase Europeans and Canadians are paying into defense since you took office in 2017. Most say a full U.S. withdrawal from NATO is unlikely, but War Secretary Pete Hexeth has initiated a review called NATO 3.0. People see it as a threat to reduce or reposition American troops in Europe after the disappointing response on Iran. It will be designed to ensure that NATO is moving fast and irreversibly toward Europe leading, stepping up to take primary responsibility for the defense of Europe, stepping up to ensure our forces are postured for America's global needs, and stepping up to make sure that our access, spacing and overflight are clearly delineated and assured. The impact of President Trump on NATO has been what? Has been demanding, has been just because it was unbalanced, and we have to do more. So you're not mad at him? No. I think most of the negative comments coming to say that NATO is going to be dismantled, that the U.S. is leaving Europe abandoned, are coming from outside the United States. Who do you mean? I think it's coming from the Eastern countries. I think it's coming from Russia. Russia is interested in making the European Union citizens to believe that they are endangered to be abandoned and it's better if they just take the first step. If they are abandoning you, just abandon them. Europe is bolstering its defense spending thanks to Trump. The question is how flashpoints over issues like Iran will impact the long-standing NATO alliance. The Pentagon is expected to recommend what to change about U.S. forces in Europe to President Trump by November 6th, that could include cutting 25,000 troops, roughly a third of the force, or as many as 40,000 with Germany, Italy, and Spain most impacted.

Video transcript

Here's the official Canadian and left-wing version. The United States is back again, bowling portal to Canada. And we are a liberal EU progressive nation, and now they're in the dark ages. So what they did to us, we were going to have a trade agreement. And then they said we want to destroy indigenous culture and the French language. And we said we're going to stick up for the little guy. And then they said we were no longer sovereign. And they were going to come in here and tell us with whom we could trade. Can you imagine that? And if you don't believe me, look at all the names that Trump has called us. And that's what we're in. I'm in here to save you as Carney. That's the narrative. And now they're all ginned up, and they're like lemmings, and they're all headed over a cliff. So here was the reality. The reality is that the United States is nine times larger than Canada in population. And it has an economy 13 times larger, not nine times, 13 times larger. And Canada sits on the third largest gas and oil reserves in the world, and probably of the top 20 minerals, potash, precious, has in the top five natural resources. And probably has, along with Russia, the greatest timber resources. So it's one of the most naturally blessed countries. And this country, in World War II, used those resources and supplied the British Empire when no one else did, from '39 to '41. And they had one of the best per capita militaries in the world. And they had their own beach at D-Day. And then they became socialists. And they're not utilizing these. So of all the 30 industrial states at Economic Forum, they ranked the last in per capita income, 1.1. They have let into their country so many immigrants from so many poor places, 45% of the Canadian population was either not born in the United States-- excuse me, in Canada, or their parents were not born in Canada, 45%. And they come from Latin America, Africa, Asia, India, with enormous needs for public health, for public food, for public housing, for public legal, everything, education. And that socialist economy, which by the way, the population of Canada at roughly 41 million is about the same as California, the worst run state in the states. Everything is-- all the data show unemployment, taxes, product, it's the worst. And yet, its GDP is double Canada's. So in other words, Trudeau and Carney have this wonderfully rich state. And they decided that they were going to basically shut down the fossil fuel. So they have this Alberta that's got all of these minerals, and that's where most of the oil is. And they will not let it ship across lines to-- they can't export it. And it's heavy, sulfurous oil. So we come along and say, well, we don't-- we're not going to be like your own provinces. I know we're a foreign country, but we'd like the oil, and we'll pay top dollar. So you can send it right across, and we have the only refined reason in the vicinity that can refine this tar state. So we'll do it. And you'll benefit, and we'll benefit. And then you know what we'll do? If you need a pipeline to supply Quebec, and you need a pipeline for Ontario, you can go-- we'll just tap in here, and then you use it there, and it'll go through the United States back to those provinces. For there, we find fuels. We're happy to do that. We'll charge you, of course. And then we're all in a free trade zone. That's the spirit. So Trump comes along and says, if we're all in a free trade, why are they running 50 to 20 billion trade surplus, and why is Mexico running 200? And I can tell you why, and he tells everybody why. So he says, you have a 250% tariff on agricultural goods over a certain level. And they say, no, we-- yeah, but you never-- we never really inflict it. And we say, we don't inflict it, because we don't go over your little level. You know, I don't know what it is, 10 or 12 billion or 2 billion. After that, we just voluntarily restrict our exports to you. And you-- we're not impinging on our-- your sovereignty. It says in the agreement that a non-market economy, you cannot import things below the cost of production for a non-market economy. That was a euphemism for China. In other words, the United States said, we are trying to deal with this crooked China that dumps product below the cost, violates copyright, violates patent, has slave labor. And one of the ways they get around it is, they dump cheap aluminum and steel into Canada and into Mexico, where it is assembled, and that assembled truck or car or refrigerator comes into the United States cheaper than what we can produce it domestically. And they claim it is indigently made, but they don't even use their own steel and aluminum. They try to import it from Canada. And as far as culturally insensitive, our digital media companies, if you look at software, digital media, AI, you name it, eight or nine out of the top 10 countries are American, not because we made them that way, because they are the best. So naturally, they have world global markets, and they offer a service. You don't have to buy it. You charge income, tax, on all their revenues in your country. But now you want to come along and say, well, you're so successful, and we love your product so much, we feel that we don't have enough French stuff, and we don't have enough Native American stuff. So we're going to tell you what you can put on social media, and we're going to charge you an additional, sir, an extra tax of 5%. And the American said, wait a minute, we operate all over the world, we let you do that every single country is saying that you're impinging on our Welsh people or Gaelic people or Saxon people who need their own culture. So we're going to make Facebook and Amazon have a little, they're going to pay us money so we can subsidize a bunch of these activists so that they can get paid so their culture doesn't die out. Nobody's going to do that. And by the way, we're not going to let China leverage us by using you because and why would you want to do that anyway, there are, you're already running up a $50 billion surplus, and they are a communist godless country that swallowed to bed has a million people in a work camp has forced abortion, harvest organs, and you want to lie themselves with them against us to undermine our tariffs. And by the way, why did you walk out Mr. Carney on a Friday afternoon, and I can tell you why you did you had elections coming up in Quebec, and Ontario, Alberta, excuse me, and there were nationalist movements in Alberta, they were sick and tired of supplying the energy for Canada and they couldn't export it on pipelines, because your environmental regulations and these various provinces would not allow them to go into their province. And you didn't tell the Canadians that only the Americans allowed you to build a pipeline into our foreign country, and they your own country wouldn't let you go anywhere else. If you want to go build a pipeline to, you know, British Columbia, go ahead and do it. We are we're the biggest producer of oil and gas in the world will be fine, and then try to export it but you don't do that do you and who's stopping you not us. You are and that is basically we said that and then we said and Mr. Carney, you know, you pick this date, not just so that the Quebec people and the Alberta people would vote for semi or complete independence. He wanted to gin up a public enemy the orange man is now back at it calling and now everybody hates him they boo when the American National Anthem is played at sporting event we get that and they're all going to vote for you and you ginned it up and then as soon as this is over you're going to come crawling back and saying well the August job reports came in and unfortunately Canadians the last week these tariffs were included and we lost forty one thousand jobs and I told you we were going to hurt the Americans worse but they got a hundred and sixty thousand new jobs so it didn't quite work out what I wanted and now that we stopped the Nationals movement in Quebec and the National Movement in Alberta and I targeted Michigan Minnesota Maine Wisconsin with special tariffs to hurt Americans and I got useful idiots like Gavin Newsom to cut videos that Trump was worse than I am and that Republicans lost the midterms and they want to impeach Donald Trump and they want to cut off funds for the Iran war now I want to have a deal yeah that's my plan so let's go let's be friends and I oh by the way I want my fifty billion dollar yearly surplus to and Trump said he said I don't like I don't want to deal with you anymore I like Canadians but you're the most dishonest people in the world and by the way you know as he said thirty two NATO nations had promised for ten years to spend two percent of their GDP on defense but you never did you tried to last year and you may or may not we'll look at your bookkeeping it looks a little fishy but for nine straight years you wouldn't even do that you know why you wouldn't do that because you were depending on the US military and norad and our missile defense and our huge Air Force to protect you so you could shoot your mouth off about Ukraine and Russia and if Russia ever said to you we're gonna take icebreakers right through the northwest path each and spit on you you knew the United States Navy which was the biggest Navy in the world would stop it and when somebody just said you know what we'll send a missile over northwest Canada just just give them a message you know that we would stop it unless you want with your 79 jets 779 and we have five thousand and so we're gonna you know we're going to piggyback on you we want you to carry you but you know what we're gonna do we're gonna attack you everywhere about the Iran war everything but you because you're so strong and you're so powerful and you're such a big bully you owe us to protect and subsidize our defense and you have to subsidize our socials economy by running up surpluses so we can let in 45 percent and this is the killer because we have a project and it's called the centennial initiative and we want to have 100 Canadian 100 million Canadians within 15 years that's their goal wait hold on I'm so sorry Baker wait I've never heard I bet that's a yes yeah I think you just said they had like 40 million people yes they want 100 million because they want to rival the United States I was gonna ask you why the open borders when because they think that I think that the Canadians because they're socialist and they don't really have to worry about anything or not having children and they're not there their fertility rate is about 1.4 1.3 like Europe and they're static or shrinking and they've let in all these people and their population has grown dramatically and they think the more people from India the more people from China the more people from Latin America the more people from Africa we're gonna get this huge population they're gonna be all left-wing it'll never be a conservative Canada again and then we'll have a hundred million people with all these resources then we're really gonna be tough on the Americans and it it's just like they're committing suicide because they all come over there and they hate the Canadians and they have enormous social needs and the economy in its socialist mode won't support it okay but it's it's it's so it's not the Canadians though and Mark Carney has got to be a pawn for the globalists correct because this is got he's got a passport until recently in three different countries right right so he's about as Canadian as I am and so I mean he was ran the Bank of England for a while I think and so yeah he's a globalist and he hates everything about Trump and he thought that he would just punch in like Trudeau and there would be a Biden or Obama there and say your surpluses don't matter because you're a good old leftist like us and we're going to make a leftist North America together okay and we'll we'll subsidize your trade we'll subsidize your defense we'll subsidize everything yep and that's what we did and Trump came along and said you know the free rides over sorry I'm gonna play the bad guy and the same thing I'm not picking on you I'm doing the same thing with Mexico

And by the way, we're not going to let China leverage us by using you because and why would you want to do that anyway, there are, you're already running up a $50 billion surplus, and they are a communist godless country that swallowed to bed has a million people in a work camp has forced abortion, harvest organs, and you want to lie themselves with them against us to undermine our tariffs. this time UN week kicked off without any hiccups Trump and Melania wrote up the escalator without a hitch remember last year the escalator went rogue and almost took out the first lady sabotage is how 47 described it and then his teleprompter malfunction so double sabotage this time the escalators were checked and rechecked and no prompter issues the UN cleared out the whole booth to make sure there wasn't another snafu so this year the president got to rip the UN a new one without any interruptions it is deeply ironic that the United Nations has an entire institution the you Nesco group of people and countries devoted to protecting cultural heritage yet with their ceaseless promotion of mass migration these globalists are actively destroying the greatest cultures and most extraordinary heritage in all of history there is no human right to illegal immigration but there is a right to remain a sovereign nation and we want to remain a sovereign nation and so should you calling out the UN for using migration as a weapon to destroy wealthy Western culture is exactly why they hate them and it's also why Trump loves UN week it's his favorite week of the year besides master's week of course he gets to blast the globalists right in his hometown and then sleep in his own bed at Trump Tower Trump had the Cubans storming out of the room like Joy Behar when O'Reilly was on the view the communist regime is under great pressure the biggest pressure they've ever been under it's an absolutely failed state it's failing like never before and it will fall Marco Rubio is handling a negotiation will not allow a haven for foreign adversaries to threaten America on our own doorstep now if you think Trump's slowing down after Iran he's not cube is next the whole room looked kind of skittish Trump even told Mexico they haven't been great neighbors the cartels are the Isis of the Western Hemisphere not good people like Isis they should be killed exiled or detained as enemy combatants without the possibility of release Mexico is the epicenter of the cartel violence unfortunately it's unacceptable for the United States to share a 2,000 mile border with a territory controlled by enemy cartels so Mexico must reclaim control of its soil from the enemies of humanity air strikes into Mexico not off the table every single country has been put on notice and that's why every single country is dying to bring back Biden he used to come to the UN fall asleep wake up and just start giving money and weapons away let everybody get away with everything let Russia invade Ukraine let Beijing take over Latin America let the Iranians build thousands of missile factories at one point Biden was stuffing migrants on planes and just flying them here just dropping them off here in New York like here you go now the planes going the other way the world can't make their problems our problem or else they're gonna have a problem so Trump comes in and says enough's enough and doesn't care who gets upset so while others have talked I have acted while others have spoken of peace I have made peace while others have ignored threats I have confronted them while others have talked of courage America has shown it while others have promised strength I have used it to make America the most powerful country in the world the theme of the president's speech was others have talked I have acted act two could be annihilation leaving the General Assembly speechless I have a big decision to make will a deal be made with Iran that lets them rebuild and create a far greater country than it ever was before or do I annihilate the Islamic Republic and do it quickly never giving them a chance to kill and destroy people and countries again do I drive them into hell with no chance of survival and no hope of future greatness or generations the Iranians got the message they're in town for the UN to the Iranian president not the gay ayatollah is set to deliver his UN speech tomorrow it's not really a vacation for the delegation the Iranians can't stroll around Central Parker go shopping on Fifth Avenue and they definitely aren't allowed to go to the club the State Department has them on a short leash they're basically allowed to order room service that's it and no no under any circumstances are they to get spa treatments they're here to get down to business with Whitcoff and Kushner they settled into a suite for about three hours drank some tea and talked truce it's actually the first face-to-face meeting since June their rooms and phones are tapped so they can't disguise their little shenanigans meanwhile Trump met with our Arab allies behind the scenes nine countries total Steve and Jared had a very productive meeting today with mediators of Iran merely mediators let's see what happens with that they've been mediated for a while but I think there's a lot of momentum for them to make a deal the clock's ticking the mullahs are trying to punt the deal to after the midterms thinking they'll have more leverage if the Democrats win Trump says nice try they're waiting to see how I do in the midterm election what they don't realize is that I'm not running I did that already and one in a landslide we won in a giant landslide and I'll be here for two and a half years Trump versus the Iranians that was the main event and then comes the undercard Muslims versus the Jews Netanyahu set to address the UN on Thursday and the mayor still wants the Prime Minister and handcuffs when it comes to Benjamin Netanyahu I have described him as I believe him to be a war criminal and an architect of a horrific genocide of the Palestinian people the international criminal court deemed someone worthy of an arrest because of a violation of those laws then who are we to say that anyone should be above that and I think very clearly that everyone should be held accountable to it things escalated quite quickly shame on you mr. mondani shame on you for supporting the Hamas terrorists monsters who butchered our people shame on you for inciting riots against New York Jews I'm coming to the UN I'm going to tell the truth about our heroic soldiers and I'm going to tell the truth about you while those two go at it and the Iranians figure themselves out Trump's wheeling and dealing with the rest of the world and after his speech the assembly the president met with Zelensky to talk about the war with Russia that's really getting pretty nasty and expensive for both sides Zelensky also met with CIA chief Ratcliffe earlier this week in Ireland so something's cooking Trump getting some home cooking signing a defense deal with Greenland and Denmark after the media said Trump the conquistador had no strategy mr. president you have been very clear you don't want adversaries to come too close I fully agree and with this deal they are not we are making sure that they will not be allowed to get any control or significant influence in Greenland the Pentagon's not wasting any time the commander-in-chiefs already sending in the troops this agreement made with the Kingdom of Denmark an incredible beautiful country and the Greenland people itself gives the United States permanent control over security and all other needs on that territory we will immediately begin the process of developing a large military presence in the appropriate locations the United States conquered Greenland without having to fire a single shot and prime time may have to send Johnny Trump also met with McCrone last night in Trump Tower maybe not as nice as Versailles but same amount of gold he sat down with the Prime Minister of Japan today Takaiichi - had a lot to talk about especially about China the event everybody's waiting for this week is Trump's big summit with Chi the president says the dinner is going to be the hottest ticket in town the two are already going to be drilling down on trade and AI sorry can't say AI anymore from this point forward all of United States documents and hopefully the worlds will be changed to use the much more accurate term super as opposed to artificial so it's super intelligence in other words welcome to the new world of super intelligence - SI now I say whoever wins SI whoever wins super intelligent wins that's the group that wins the Democrats once again running against intelligence Bernie trying to pressure the president into an AI ceasefire with the Chinese I hope very much that they will sit down and begin the process of negotiating a comprehensive treaty to establish a pause on advanced AI and a ban on AI super intelligence let that sit in Bernie Sanders wants to ban all technological progress all these companies working with trillion dollar supercomputers Bernie wants all the workers to shut everything down and just take a lunch break a long one that Bernie were around 100 years ago he probably would have demanded Henry Ford stop building cars while he stood next to a horse Trump's just blowing Bernie off going full force with super intelligence what the president has said is yes if there's harm that comes from AI we have to protect our country from it but we cannot afford to not be at the leading edge of AI because it's going to happen and if it's going to happen we should benefit from it and we should be in the lead today the United States hosted a funeral for globalism scolded the leaders of other countries friend and foe alike warned them that bad behavior was no longer going to be tolerated and that the United States is not going to shackle ourselves with international institutions just for the sake of cold war nostalgia we're in a new era old alliances have been shattered and new ones are forming spheres of influence are shrinking for some growing for others there's no such thing as a free ride anymore the United States will pursue our interests aggressively and work with allies when it benefits our strategic interests our borders are sacred and we're not afraid to expand them the United States is the largest producer of energy in the world the largest economy in the world by far and the most dominant and lethal military and the leader in the AI and Space Race this is a key moment in the history of the world the United States has no peer and we intend to keep it that way we should be looking out for numero uno because there's no guarantee America is gonna stay at the top of the food chain now if we intend to remain the sole superpower we're gonna have to take aggressive action to maintain our position and that may make us a little unpopular but this isn't a popularity contest and Trump isn't calculating well if I do this then the midterms aren't gonna go this way he doesn't care he says he doesn't care the midterms always go against the party in power anyway so why not do the right thing be bold he's looking out for the long-term strategic interests of the United States and we should appreciate that we should respect that you can argue with strategy but his intentions are noble and the American people were a noble people and we've earned the right to be where we are God has given America a special birthright and no one should be able to take that away from us Robert Greenways the principal architect of the Abraham Accords how did you think the speech went today well it's good to be with you Jesse thanks for having me look I think you hit it perfectly in that for generations the same global elites have been chanting incantations like the rules-based international order with a cocktail in one hand and a resolution in the other and last time I checked things were getting worse and not better and what President Trump has assiduously reminded them without the need of super intelligence although if anybody has it it might be him that they have failed to achieve what he has and he's reminded them that the only arbiter of an effective policy is the outcome is the result is the effect and for the United States the effect has been tremendous and for the world it's been tremendous the results he's achieved beginning in the first administration having celebrated just last week the sixth anniversary the Abraham Accords and he's building on that foundation and as you said he's had success in almost every point of the compass and they hate him for it and at the end of the day though you're exactly right and that the pursuit of American interests has to be paramount and so too for other countries and when that happens good things occur it's not about the process anymore you're right it's about the results and when you look at him from Venezuela to Greenland to Iran he's putting together a little bit of a package here describe the national security economic package that the president's putting together a hundred percent like these are all connected and they're all sequenced for a reason and so the president is not only increasing America's energy output right this is critical for two reasons it keeps Moscow in check it limits the access they have to export revenue they're a gas station with nuclear weapons but they're dependent upon that revenue and he has cut it and so while the Europeans have given him 13 billion dollars in natural gas revenue by purchasing Russian gas the year before President Trump came in office he's cut their GDP growth from four to one percent he's also limiting China who is dependent upon external resources like gas and oil to further their ambitions and now he has controlled both actions in Venezuela actions in Iran hold them to account and increasing our export revenue gives the United States the dominant position in global energy market it fuels both of our adversaries or it constrains them and it allows for America to be prosperous and self-sufficient and all of that is linked all of it is completely logical and all of it is yielding tremendous results you know there's people and there's some people on the right but a lot on the left that are just complaining you know this is not going well this is an unpopular president blah blah blah did they understand the strategic calculation the administration's making or are they just trying to exploit the high gas prices for political purposes yeah I think there you're exactly right I think there are two reasons first is of course they can't stand the fact that he's having success and it's demonstrable it's visible and it's difficult to conceal where they have failed and I think if they recognize their own failures I think it's unlikely that they would have gotten themselves in this predicament I'm not sure they understand exactly why things went wrong or how to fix it and in the end what the actions he's taken have been decisive and again the the prices we're experiencing now for two months at high gas prices and confronting Iran is necessary and it's temporary under both Biden and Obama they went years with gas prices well over a hundred dollars a barrel and I don't remember the complaints nearly as much as they are now after two months so it's hardly a comparison and when it comes to Iran the president reminded us all he is the apex predator here and he's playing with his supper and at some point time he's gonna eat it I don't know when but it's probably when he's hungry playing with his supper is Cuba on the menu next hundred percent and again we want our hemisphere clear we don't want a threat offshore not 90 miles from the United States border it was never acceptable and president Trump may be the first person to correct that since the Eisenhower administration and that's a good thing well we've had some bad luck messing around with Cuba hopefully that bad luck's run out and we can make this hemisphere an American hemisphere thank you so much Robert we always appreciate you coming in

I hope everyone realizes that price increases throughout America were caused by Sleepy Joe Biden and the Biden Administration, not by “TRUMP.” Even Oil was higher under Biden than it is right now, and we prevented Iran from having a Nuclear Weapon! Iran Is Not Even Close to Winning the War By Mike Fredenburg The airwaves and blogs are full of pundits and other self-proclaimed experts declaring that the United States has lost or is losing the war. Certainly, there is little doubt that the war has not gone as smoothly as the Trump administration expected it to. And if you believe that the United States' inability to wrap up a nice, clean win (super unlikely) before the November midterms is a significant win for the Iranian regime, you are correct. But does that really mean that Iran is winning the war, strategically or otherwise? History tells us that merely maintaining a limited capacity to lob missiles and drones at your opponent does not mean that you are winning. Neither does the ability to exert limited control over a waterway mean that you are winning. By any reasonable standard of military degradation, strategic isolation, economic collapse, and regional realignment, it is the United States that is winning this war that probably should have been fought after Iran's proxies, including the Hezbollah terrorist group, executed the 1983 truck bomb attack on the U.S. Marine compound, killing 241 U.S. servicemen. Consider the facts: U.S. forces have sunk or crippled the overwhelming majority of Iran's conventional navy. Retired Vice Adm. Robert Harward, a former deputy commander of U.S. Central Command, assessed that Iran has lost 80 percent to 90 percent of its naval capacity. With the vast majority of Iran's largest naval vessels having been crippled or destroyed, Tehran's ability to project meaningful naval power has been reduced to an ever-decreasing number of small Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps fast-attack boats of minimal capability. While the United States has not gained air dominance over all of Iran, it does have air superiority over significant portions, and the Trump administration has claimed that 1,500 strikes have destroyed some 80 percent of Iran's air defense system. Of course, as is the case with all wars, we won't know the real numbers until well after the war concludes, but there is little doubt that Iran's air defenses have been severely degraded. And given the dire economic circumstances the regime finds itself in, those systems will be very difficult to replace, and even if they can eventually do so, it will be many years—assuming that the regime lasts that long. On the industrial and infrastructure front, the campaign has been even more decisive. U.S. and coalition forces have struck more than 13,000 targets inside Iran, including 90 percent of Iran's weapons factories. While striking targets is certainly not the same as destroying them, Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman Gen. Dan Caine has described Iran's defense industrial base as "shattered," with CENTCOM reporting that more than two-thirds of Iran's missile, drone, and naval production facilities and shipyards were damaged or destroyed, including nearly all Shahed drone production facilities and solid-rocket-motor production facilities—critical to the production of Iran's cheap but effective ballistic missiles. Satellite analysis has documented extensive damage to more than 50 Iranian military bases, including Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps headquarters, air bases, naval hubs, and ballistic-missile facilities. Iran has never suffered this level of damage, and with the most comprehensive economic sanctions seen in recent memory strangling Iran's economy, reconstituting this industrial capacity will take many years, and that assumes the extremely unpopular regime lasts that long. Beyond the battlefield, Iran's prestige and ability to wield influence in the Middle East have been severely degraded. Countries that once feared crossing Tehran publicly are now doing so, up to and including conducting air and missile strikes on military targets inside Iran. The United Arab Emirates has severed ties with Iran and has joined a self-defense pact that includes Turkey and Pakistan. Saudi Yes, the war is making a tough midterm even tougher, but to say that the United States is losing is just plain ludicrous. Arabia has participated in attacks on Iranian targets. And it genuinely looks like after decades of bullying by Iran, its neighbors, with the help of the bully of the Middle East—a major blow from which the regime will never fully recover. Iran's economy is in shambles, with point-to-point food and beverage inflation skyrocketing to between 113.8 and 128 percent, forcing essential groceries to more than double in cost over the past year. Overall inflation has soared above 60 to 80 percent, with food inflation in triple digits in many categories. Iran's currency, the rial, has collapsed, tens of thousands of factories and petrochemical plants being shuttered or damaged (estimates run to 20,000 industrial units affected), and oil revenues have dropped to a fraction of what they were. And with new sanctions coming online and a blockade it cannot lift, the Iranian regime is in dire straits, the likes of which it has not seen since overthrowing the shah. For some context, U.S. grocery prices have risen by only 2.7 percent over the past year, while overall U.S. inflation, bumped up by gasoline prices, stands at 3.5 percent. Adding to Iran's woes, when oil is not pumped from a well for an extended period, the well's future production is often severely degraded. The regime has been struggling to pay its troops and security forces on time; foreign bank accounts and financial channels have been severed or frozen. International Monetary Fund projections show a 6 percent gross domestic product contraction for 2026. And if the blockade stays in place, 2027 will be far worse. A screenshot of a newspaper/magazine opinion article continuation (marked "Continued from A17") headlined "Iran Is Not Even Close to Winning the War." The piece argues that despite setbacks, the U.S. and Trump administration are strategically winning against Iran, citing declining Iranian regime support, polling data, shipping route changes around the Strait of Hormuz, defense industrial base shortcomings, and media coverage framing. A pull-quote is set off in the middle column. An author bio at the end identifies the writer as Mike Fredenburg, who writes on military technology and defense matters.
Text in image: Iran Is Not Even Close to Winning the War Continued from A17 protect its own territory or deliver prosperity, has diminished the regime's support among the small minority of Iranians that actually supported it before the current conflict ramped up. Further, while precise polling is difficult to obtain given the level of repression and control exerted by the regime, reporting by the GAMAAN institute indicates that substantial portions of the population view the strikes as justified or at least as a necessary reckoning with a failed system. U.S. President Donald Trump is far more popular in Iran than the regime itself—about 44 percent support for Trump versus roughly 13 percent support for the Islamic republic. Iran's Ability to Affect the World Economy Is Diminishing Daily Each day sees the importance of the Strait of Hormuz diminished, as pipelines and tankers are being built to give the world the capacity to bypass it. In as little as six months, the necessity of transiting the Strait of Hormuz will have been reduced to a fraction of what it was at the start of the conflict, permanently weakening Iran. By any reasonable standard of military degradation, strategic isolation, economic collapse, and regional realignment, it is the United States that is winning this war. The extra cost per trip on the new routes, such as those going around the Cape of Good Hope, is only about 0.5 percent to 1 percent of the value of the oil carried; in other words, a small fraction of the price swings we have seen in oil prices. Record numbers of Very Large Crude Carrier ships are being ordered, with some 60 expected to be delivered in 2027 and many more in 2028 and 2029. This additional capacity will facilitate the use of alternative routes that bypass the Strait of Hormuz. Yes, the strait remains a vulnerability, but there is little doubt that its significance will be reduced as a consequence of this conflict. To be fair, the Trump administration has been overly optimistic at times. The war is almost certainly not going as planned. Further, it is clear that the administration had more confidence in what airpower alone could accomplish than was warranted, overestimated the effectiveness of our air defenses, and underestimated the effectiveness of Iran's drones and missiles. The conflict has also revealed major shortcomings in our defense industrial base, highlighted the Navy's failure to develop and field truly effective littoral combat ships in sufficient numbers, and has shown that the practice of spending millions of dollars on individual missiles is a loser that puts our national security at risk and needs to be immediately corrected if we are to have any chance against an opponent such as China. These are real problems that demand urgent attention, but they are problems inherited by the current administration, not created by it. Yet none of these problems and shortcomings change the fundamental strategic picture. Iran's navy is largely gone, its air force grounded, its factories and bases devastated, its economy collapsing, its regional influence shrinking, and its great-power allies unwilling to openly provide significant support. From a big-picture perspective, the ability to sporadically launch drones and missiles to harass shipping is a Pyrrhic victory that is incentivizing the world to lessen dependence on the Strait of Hormuz. Yes, the war is making a tough midterm even tougher, as the media have seized on it to divert attention away from the hundreds of Trump administration accomplishments that have made life better and safer for the average American, but to say that the United States is losing the war is just plain ludicrous. Mike Fredenburg writes on military technology and defense matters with an emphasis on defense reform. He holds a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering and master's degree in production operations management.

Video transcript
I'm 72 years old, and for 70 years of my life, I would have bet any amount of money that I would not be addressing a Republican convention. The irony of my presence here is inescapable. I attended my first Democratic convention in 1960 when I was six years old, and I attended most of the conventions, the Democratic conventions after that, and I spoke as a keynote speaker in many of them. I grew up in a Democratic party of Franklin Roosevelt, of my Uncle John Kennedy, of my father Robert Kennedy, and ours was a party of strong principles of clear policies and an inspiring idealistic vision for America. My uncle ran on a platform of tax cuts, strong defense, and fighting communism. Does that sound familiar? The Democrats of that era stood with labor and working people and the American middle class. Nearly every cop and firefighter was a Democrat. Our party was a champion of the Bill of Rights and particularly for unbridled free speech. It was wary of centralized government power and corporate privilege and secret intelligence agencies. My uncle and father understood the connection between free markets and functional democracy. They stirred firmly against crony capitalism on the right and socialism on the left. They were all for competition, for meritocracy, and for excellence, which they thought should be a universal aspiration for Americans. My father and uncles had served in World War II, and they understood the difference between forever wars that they opposed and wars to protect our national security, which they believed we should never hesitate to defend. My family played critical roles in building NIH and the CDC into centers of gold standard science that transformed America into this relentless dynamo of international research. They promoted physical fitness, and they protected women's sports. My uncle Ted Kennedy wrote Title IX, which, because he wanted to make sure that women, real women, were able to have a safe and guaranteed spot in college sports, and they stood with Israel as the bulwark of democracy and as a beacon for press and religious freedoms, a haven from oppression to gays and women and ethnic and religious minorities amidst a regional sea of intolerance, of misogyny, of child marriage, of human slavery, and of ethnic and religious genocide. They saw Israel as America's most critical front-line ally in fighting the toxic ideology of Islamism, which, by its own accounts, is waging an existential war against our country and against Western liberal democracy. It's an ideology that has subjugated, impoverished, and tyrannized and tortured the people of Palestine and the people of Iran, and they openly promised to do the same to us. Democrats opposed government coercion, defended individual rights, believed the government should give Americans information, good information, and then let them trust them to make up their own minds. Democrats and labor leaders fought fiercely in my generation to stop illegal immigration at the border. During COVID, I watched the Democratic Party turn against every one of its essential values, its principles, and all of the policies that define my party. Democrats turned away from gold standard research and blindly defended industry-sponsored agenda driven science written by corrupt and captive regulatory agencies. And the Democrats, which were once the champions of the American Constitution, systematically obliterated the Bill of Rights, and particularly beginning with the First Amendment under the guise of combating misinformation, Democrats censored hundreds of scientists and physicians who questioned the government's dubious COVID pronouncements and orthodoxies. 37 years, 37 hours after President Biden took the oath of office, he ordered Facebook and Instagram to remove my accounts in order to prevent public debate. I'm not complaining about what happened to me, but it was a bad thing for our country. Democrats obliterated the second leg of the First Amendment, the right to the guaranteed right of assembly by social distancing regulations that were completely unscience-based. Democrats violated the third leg of the First Amendment, the freedom to worship. They closed every church in our country for a year. Who could imagine that would have ever happened? And they kept open the liquor stores and the big box stores as essential businesses. Democrats torpedoed the Seventh Amendment right to jury trial by giving liability shields to the giant pharmaceutical companies, no matter how negligent they were, no matter how reckless, no matter how toxic the ingredients, no matter how grievous your injury, you could not sue them. Democrats violated the Fifth Amendment by shutting down three million businesses with no due process and no just compensation. Democrats shut down the Fourth Amendment, protection from unlawful searches and seizures by forcing Americans to disclose their medical information before they could exercise their constitutional rights. In a single year, my party obliterated 250 years of constitutional guarantees. The only bill of right that they left unscathed was the Second Amendment and probably only because there is a Second Amendment. And then the party of my body, my choice for citizens to wear masks and to submit to invasive and intrusive medical interventions against their own wills. The party of me too, remember that we were all supposed to listen to women and to believe women a cruelly silence the voices of tens of thousands of mothers who believed that their children had suffered vaccine injuries. The Democrats declared war on women's sports, effectively destroying Title IX. The Democrats condemned meritocracy openly and celebrated mediocrity. The Democratic Party became the party of elites labeling working Americans as deplorables. Democrats cultivated deep ties with Big Pharma, Big Tech, Big Ag, Big Food, Big Insurance and the mainstream media. They embraced policies that divided Americans along racial lines. They abolished my uncle's physical fitness test because they said that competition was bad for children. The Democrats abandoned all of these values and all of their traditional values, offering Americans only one policy, one policy that they stood for, the unbridled sociopathic and blind hatred of a single man, Donald J. Trump. And they were so confident that Trump hatred alone was sufficient to win elections that they abandoned accountability and made our government a predatory organism of monumental incompetence and corruption. The Democrats dismantled the public integrity safeguards and opened the floodgates to thieves and fraudsters who fleece the American medical regulatory agencies for $100 billion annually during every year of the Biden administration. They somehow lost 360,000 children and they turned our federal government into the biggest child trafficking operation in world history. The Democratic Party in short lost its way. I mourn the fact that neither my father nor my uncle would recognize the Democratic Party of today. It struck me this was no longer about left and right, it was about sane and insane. It was about common sense and communism. In April 2023, I ran for president hoping to summons my party back to its bedrock values. But the Democratic Party had lost faith in American voters and utterly ironically lost faith in American democracy. They were convinced that they would lose the ballot box, they couldn't win, and so they unveiled a law fair strategy to prevent an election from occurring. They sued every candidate who dared to run against Joe Biden and then that attempted to remove us all from the ballot. A lot of you think that the law fair was just against Donald Trump, it was mainly against him but they sued Dean Phillips, they sued Mary Ann Williamson, they sued Cornel West, they sued Donald Trump 50 times in 38 states to remove him from the ballot. And they sued me in 12 states to remove me from ballots where I had legally qualified. And then this is almost comical, after I endorsed President Trump and I tried to remove myself from the ballot so that he could have my votes, they sued me to keep me on the ballot. I'm not joking. So here was the Democratic Party that in my youth the biggest issue that we had that my father and my uncle fought for was voting rights and particularly in the southern states to guarantee that every American had a right to cast a ballot. And here's that same party 60 years later using all of its ingenuity and all of its power to make sure that Americans could not vote for the candidates that they wanted to vote for. They excluded me from the debates, they canceled the primaries, the Democratic Party changed the rules to make sure I could not win and neither could the other people running as Democrats no matter how many votes we got. And for the first time in history they canceled their own convention. No voter ever cast a primary ballot for Kamala Harris. No elected delegate was ever consulted. Party of no kings simply anointed a queen. They handpicked a secretive party of elites who nobody even knows who they were. They're just faceless guys with lanyards who are calling all the shots from the upper decks of that convention center and nobody can see their face anymore than you can see the face of the people up there but that's who was making the decision. And then they canceled the convention and they held a coronation. The day that President Trump was shot in Butler, Pennsylvania within three hours of his shooting he called me and asked me for a meeting. And during the series of talks that followed I realized that everything that I had heard about President Trump and everything I believed about him from the mainstream media was a lie everything. I discovered I discovered a self-effacing man of superior intelligence of empathy and compassion with an encyclopedic grasp of the issues and within in molecular detail and most of all a near reckless courage to challenge vested interests and official orthodoxies. I found a man who cared deeply about transparency in government who believed in protecting free speech more than anything and the entire United States Constitution. We talked about lowering drug prices supporting farmers and ranchers standing up for working Americans restoring law and order and protecting public safety and security and national safety as well. We talked about ending official corporate influence unraveling the corporate capture of our regulatory agencies and restoring gold standard science and public trust. We talked about ending fraud waste and abuse and most importantly to me we talked about ending the chronic disease epidemic and restoring the health of our children. President Trump told me that he wanted safe food available to all Americans. He wanted to end chronic disease. He wanted to restore our kids health. He found it unacceptable that this country pays two to three times what every developing nation in the world pays and yet we have the sickest children in the history of the world. We have the highest chronic disease burden ever recorded. These conversations changed the course of my campaign and my life. I realized that many of the foundational values of the Democratic Party had found a new home and it was called the Republican Party. Now out of a sense of fairness after my conversation with President Trump I tried to have the same conversation with Kamala Harris. You think she would agree to meet with me? Did she even pick up the telephone? Well on August 23rd, 2024 I suspended my campaign and I endorsed President Trump. Later that day on stage at the turning point rally in Arizona I met President Trump and that moment would never have happened without my friend Charlie Kirk. Charlie played a critical and indispensable role at bringing me and President Trump together. In fact it was something that he was trying to do for almost a year, last year of my campaign and today on the first anniversary of his assassination I can't stand here without thinking about him. Charlie believed that people from all different political traditions could find common ground in their love of country that we were in this age of algorithms driving us all apart and creating this terrible destructive polarization. The only way that we were going to rescue our country is we started talking to each other and having congenial conversations and he helped build the bridge that President Trump and I walked across that day and I like to believe that Charlie is looking down on all of us now and seeing the seeds that he planted. That afternoon President Trump and I stood together in front of thousands of Americans. He shook hands and we made a promise to the American people. Here we promised to make America healthy again. Some of my Democratic friends told me that I was a fool for trusting President Trump and so I want to make the record clear right now. President Trump has kept every single promise that he made to me without exception. We have kept our promise to the American people. Today, two years into this administration, Americans are eating more real food. Real food sales were up 8% in 2025. Americans are eating less processed food. Since President Trump took office, obesity is down by 7% after 40 years of increasing. And this is best of all, preliminary data that I received two days ago from CDC indicates that we have now reversed a 30-year decline in longevity. President Trump has ended nine wars. He's restored competency to our government. He's restored public faith. He's restored America's leadership across the globe. And I am so grateful to God for giving our country a leader like this. And I'm grateful to President Trump for including me in his administration and giving me a place in this extraordinary revolution that is happening in our country where we're going to restore American democracy and restore the America that my uncle and father believed in, the exemplary nation respected and emulated across the globe. We are making America healthy again, but it's up to you now. We need to elect a Republican Congress to keep this momentum going. Let's go out and do that. God bless you. God bless America. Thank you.

You have been involved in numerous negotiations around the world. Why should people have any confidence in your capacity to succeed here? You were involved in the Gaza negotiations, but Gaza remains a wasteland. There's been real no progress there. Iran, you were involved in those negotiations. The war is still going on. You've been involved in several rounds of negotiations. In this conflict, it's only getting more intense. So you're relaunching negotiations now. What's the likelihood they will succeed when other negotiations you've been involved in have not? So, Richard, first of all, it's nice to actually see you in person. I've seen you on television for years, but I guess we're usually more domestic, so I don't see you in the flesh. First of all, I think these are some of the hardest problem sets in the world, and I think that you have to try and you have to bring to it. Obviously, Steve and I bring different approaches to these things, but we work very well together as partners. But we're not bringing our approaches. We're really representing President Trump, and we're doing it the way that he wants to see these things done. And working with President Trump in the first term, obviously, we achieved a lot of unthinkable things, whether it was achieving the Abraham Accords, which nobody thought was possible. We achieved the USMCA, the biggest trade deal in history. We made a great deal with China. And the list just goes on and on. We just celebrated the World Cup in America. That was a deal that I led on President Trump's behalf to win for America. The same thing with the Olympics that'll be coming up. So you have to take on hard things. You mentioned Gaza. Right now, a year ago, that war was going on. There were 20 live hostages there and 28 bodies of dead hostages there, and a war that nobody thought was going to be achieved as well. It took a long time. Steve and I worked very hard on that for a while, and then when we found the opening, we were able to use the work that we'd been able to do, both building the relationships and then creating different frameworks for how to achieve that. And then we were able to take advantage of that and drive it to a conclusion, which really ended it. The work that we've done since then, which again is Gaza has not worked for a very, very long time. It was basically built by NGOs and terrorists. And it's been a dystopian place for a long time. And so we've taken our time. We've built an incredible team, again, under President Trump's leadership on the Board of Peace. Now we have a plan to go forward. We've got a UN resolution that put forward progress for that. And there's a new government, a Palestinian technocratic government, that's neither the PA nor Hamas that's built a plan to go forward. You can't go in if there's guns, right? You can't send the government into a place. By the way, we're now starting to understand the scope of the militarization of Gaza. It is beyond your comprehension. And so demilitarizing it is not going to be easy. We worked with Hamas for over four months. You talk about interesting people to be working with. And they signed an agreement saying they were going to demilitarize. We're working through some political issues in Israel. I think we agree with them on the end state. They just have a crazy election. And that makes them a little irrational in certain regards. But we're very determined and we're working through these things. We've also, over the last year, surged more humanitarian aid into the former war zone. I mean, now, in Gaza, we changed the way the aid was done there. Before, I mean, they spent three times the amount per person in Gaza at the UN that they did in Syria for aid. Why? It's because it's become this whole industrial complex of aid. And a lot of it was being stolen to fund a terrorist organization. So we changed the way the aid was done. We flooded aid into Gaza. And now it has one of the lowest malnutrition rates in the world. And so we have a plan to rebuild it. These things take time. These are some of the hardest conflicts. And so the tone of your question was a little bit like, why haven't you done every single impossible thing possible? We are very honored to be able to have the opportunity to work on these under President Trump's leadership. And we're very committed to giving it everything we can. And I think President Trump has a track record of doing impossible things. I think the last administration, they didn't go to Russia. I mean, I think they had one visit with the CIA director. But there's a war. I mean, every day, there are soldiers on the front line from both sides and they want to go home to their families. And there are people in these cities who have bombs dropping and their lives are very disrupted. And they want to see that put to an end. And so if the answer was simple, then somebody would have solved it. But I think President Trump's general framework is that if something is worthy and important, it will have a big impact. He doesn't matter how much he'll get criticized by people in the press or different critics. He wants to go after it. And he's asked Steve and I to do that on his behalf. And obviously with Marco and with the whole team, which we work really very lockstep with. And we'll do our best to try to get an outcome. And so I know that if we don't try, we will not succeed and nothing will change. And it's just important to try. And that's what we're going to try to do. So I can't guarantee that there will be success. But what I can promise you and promise everyone here in Ukraine and even everyone in Russia is that on behalf of President Trump, Steve and I are going to be doing everything we can. We have been doing everything we can to try and find a way out of a mess that was created before President Trump's time, which has had a huge toll. And so we're going to do our best to try and make progress. Steve, do you want to answer that too? I couldn't say it better, Jared.

Thank you.

"On the orders of the President of the United States, U.S. Central Command has confirmed the epic fury we really need." "I'm going to shoot you right down." "This regime will soon learn that no one should challenge the strength and might of the United States armed forces." He reminded the world, as he has time and time again, being an American means something unbreaking. If you kill Americans, if you threaten Americans anywhere on Earth, we will hunt you down. Without apology and without hesitation, we will kill you. We didn't start this war. But under President Trump, we are finishing it. Their war on Americans has become our retribution against their ayatollah. To the great, proud people of Iran, the hour of your freedom is at hand. When we are finished, take over your government. It will be yours to take.

In the Middle East, U.S. forces delivering a powerful response to the latest act of Iranian aggression, the military taking out five oil tankers in response to an attempted attack on U.S. warships. Steve Harrigan is live in Tel Aviv with the latest. Hey, Steve. Ainsley, Iranian forces continue to try and fail to take out U.S. military ships in the region, and they are paying a heavy price for doing so. CENTCOM just posted no U.S. Navy warship has been struck. All IRGC attempted attacks failed. Meanwhile, U.S. forces have successfully destroyed 10 Iranian tankers in just the last week. These vessels were part of a multi-billion dollar shadow network that funds the IRGC, and Iran cannot defend them. Now, right after the U.S. destroyed those five Iranian tankers, Iran tried once again to hit U.S. forces inside of Jordan. They launched a ballistic missile attack. Jordan says 18 of those missiles were intercepted. Two of them fell harmlessly in an uninhabited area. And as all this goes on, the U.S. blockade of all Iranian ports continues. No Iranian oil has gotten the market through that blockade all the way back to mid-July. Ainsley, back to you. Okay, good deal. Thank you so much, Steve. And reported strikes near Iran's largest oil terminal in Karg Island might prove to be a tipping point in the war as the key hub processes 90 percent of the regime's oil exports, nearly 100 million barrels a year. So what could this mean for the oil markets and gas prices? Fox Business contributor and oil trader Phil Flynn joins us now. Phil, what could this mean for America? Well, hopefully it means that the spike in prices which hit the highest level since the war is nearing an end. And we know this is very strategic for the Trump administration in this war because we basically hit Iran's cash register. You know, when you talk about Karg Island, this is where they get their money. So not only is this sending a message to them to end the war quickly, it's also showing how they can't really respond. And when you look at people in Iran, they're struggling right now. You know, when it takes two million reals to get one dollar, you know, the economic pain is really starting to to squeeze them. Yeah, there are reports now that the IRGC has been called up to stop all the unrest in grocery stores and in banks. And there was an article in the New York Post a month ago, August 6, that talked about Iranians stealing bread and cheese and meats and butters and cakes. And then reports this week that some people, some experts don't think the regime will even make it to the midterms because we're thinking they might hold out to the midterms. Are they going to be able to last? I doubt it. You know, I'm amazed they've lasted this long. You know, the only way they've stayed in power is by brute force, right? Anytime people complain, they rise up, they kill them. And that's a sad part of the story, you know, but it's, you know, Treasury Secretary Bassen said, you know, this is going to end, you know, when the people that are, you know, rising up against their own people say, no, we're not going to kill our own people. It's time for the regime to go. And that's going to be like the fall of the Berlin Wall. And we hopefully that will happen soon. Yeah. I know you're an oil expert. You talked about some of the gas prices last year. They were 319 last month, 401, and now they're 422. Will this help us become more energy independent? It sure has. I mean, we are the energy supplier to the world right now. We're keeping Europe's lights on. You know, we're exporting a record amount of diesel. So this is going to be transformational. You're going to see the end of OPEC as we know it. The United States is now going to be much more powerful than OPEC with Venezuela and you name it. And, you know, we've been talking a lot about Iran, you know, getting a peace deal with Russian Ukraine or ceasefire, that's going to bring down diesel prices because, you know, we keep talking about Iran, but the attacks on the Russian refiners are another reason why these prices are so high. So if the president were watching right now, is there anything you would do differently? Is there anything you would tell him advice for that area for Iran? Keep up the pressure, you know, they're going to give. And I'll tell you what, he's done an amazing job. People don't give him enough credit for how he's kept gasoline prices under control. Yes, I know they're high. I know they're at their highest level. They've been at Labor Day. But, you know, people were saying we should have been at $10 a gallon, you know, or $15 a gallon. None of that's happened. I think we're very close to the peak. Let's hope I'm right and I'm sure the president believes I'm right. You were great. Thanks so much, Phil.

Oil prices will drop precipitously, like everything else is dropping (but more!), when we WIN the war with Iran. Three Dollars a gallon, but ultimately, below Two Dollars a gallon. It will all happen quickly, and Iran will never have a Nuclear Weapon. MAGA! President DJT

Hello America, I'm Mark Levin, and this is Life, Liberty, and Levin Labor Day Weekend. Wow. Well, thank you for being here. I know there's a lot more you could be doing, but this is a treat. It's a special edition an entire hour. I call him America's Wise Man, Victor Davis Hanson, and he will prove it. He writes and speaks in compelling ways, intriguing ways, substantive ways. Victor, it's a great honor to have you with us. And this book, The Counter Revolution, really about Donald Trump and MAGA and our culture and our society, and our opposition, which in many ways is our enemy now, is so fantastic. It jumps off the pages. And in addition to that, this is going to be really a reference book in many ways. It doesn't read like a reference book because your detail is exquisite. But first, I want to ask you a personal question. You're a personal friend of mine. You were ill for a significant period of time. You were in the hospital for a significant period of time. I don't know if people know, but you came within an eyelash of passing away, which is hard to even say. It's very upsetting. And yet you had time to do a project like this. Can you explain how you were able to do this? Well, about March of last year I knew something was wrong with me. I couldn't breathe very well and I was coughing and hoarse and I had a sinus operation and that didn't help. And finally, I didn't think I was going to be around much longer. So I wanted to write a book about this counter revolution that I thought Donald Trump was waging and people had misunderstood. And then when I was diagnosed with cancer, I had almost finished it. But then I thought after I had an arterial bleed and I lost three liters of blood with the removal of the lobe and the cancer, I didn't think I could finish it. But I got better and then I was able to resume it this spring and finish the book. But I was really determined because I thought that people didn't really appreciate what's going on right now. And I wanted to have, I thought it might be my last book. So I wanted to explain that Donald Trump is not addressing the symptoms of the progressive project of the last 50 years as he did in the first administration. But now he's looking at the causation, what makes them so powerful when they don't even have the White House or the Senate or the House or the Supreme Court. And I looked at their institutional power, their infiltration of the bureaucracy, the foundations, the media, academia, K through 12. So that was an impetus for me to keep writing. And the other thing is, Mark, I'll be candid. I had lived through it as you did, all the things they did, not just to disqualify Donald Trump, try to remove him in the first administration, but disqualify him from even running. But I had forgotten a lot of the details. So I wanted to go back and leave a record of what they actually did. And I think that would remind people that we have never had a president that they tried to impeach twice. They tried him as a private citizen. They tried to take him off the ballot. They raided his home at Mar-a-Lago. They had four criminal's lawfare suits, one civil suits. They coordinated it in the White House. They had the Steele dossier cycle drama that almost ruined the transition, the first administration. They lied about the laptop on the eve of the election to swing a debate in favor of Joe Biden when he denied the laptop was his own sons and attacked Trump for even suggesting that. And then I go through the whole thing and what they did, and it's a pretty amazing story. But somehow he survived. And I think it puts in context what they're trying to, when they get angry that Donald Trump is doing this and that, it's mostly projection. I mean, they know well how to destroy somebody. So then they impute to Trump what they actually did to him. You talk about how they tried to destroy him. Can you think of another politician? No, another human being who could have withstood what they did and stand strong and look into the cameras, declare his innocence, demand, demand his innocence and take them on the way he did. I can't. I can't, especially somebody in his late sixties and early seventies. It's just amazing. He had, I don't think that was one of the things I don't think they reckoned on. He was a Nietzschean figure that anything that didn't destroy him, Mark made him stronger. And the more that they attacked him and the more they tried to destroy him physically, financially, psychologically, materially, and his family and circle of friends, the more unpopular they became. And the more that he fought back, I think they really did believe, especially after January 6, he was going to recede into the shadows and they were going to write him off as a familiar, you know, a Fillmore or somebody like James Buchanan. And that didn't happen. And one of the reasons it didn't happen is what you say. He had an overwhelming desire to change the United States or rather to restore a lot of its institutions and values to a point before this progressive onslaught. He was a real counter revolutionary. And I don't mean by that, that the left or revolutionaries that wanted to overthrow the government, but they did in the sixties, but especially during the Obama and Biden administration, they did really want to fundamentally alter the value system of the United States and the way it operates. And in every conceivable manner, whether it was packing the court or destroying the electoral college or what we see now with the democratic socialist agenda, they really did want to fundamentally change the system because they couldn't win under the present circumstances given the unpopularity of their agenda. And Trump knew that. And so he came out of the shadows again. He was down 15 points in the primary polls right after January 6. Ron DeSantis was 15, 16 points ahead. And everybody was writing him off. Even his friends were writing him off, many in cases. And he, I don't know how he did it. He was an indomitable spirit. He just said, I'm not going to give up and I'm going to make it a referendum on my accusers, not on me. And he did. You have here in this chapter called the new Jacobin Democrats. And I want you to explain briefly what that means for the American people. But you're right. This Trump and MAGA did not operate in a vacuum the decade between 2015 and his reelection in 2024. His formal opposition was no longer the liberal Democrats of all, but rather a new, far more radical manifestation in their mission to fundamentally change the nation. They were more suited to 18th century revolutionary France than 21st century America, which explains the title counter revolution. Donald Trump is the counter revolution to this radical anti-American revolution that has a home in the Democrat party. Explain. Yes. Well, they were not just a political, they weren't a Bill Clinton political movement. They were a Jacobin French revolutionary holistic movement. The Jacobins in France wanted to go back and change the calendar to year zero. They changed the names of the days of the week. They changed the days, the names of the months. They attack organized religion. They killed none. I mean they were Antifa on steroids. And what the Democratic parties tried to do is they even changed our foundational date to 1619. They destroyed our border. We had 55 million people now who were not born in the United States and we'd record 16%. They turned a once noble PBS and NPR into organs or megaphones of the left, even though they were publicly subsidized. When I went to the university or you did Mark, we knew they were liberal, but they were liberal and disinterested. But now that 95% of the faculty are hard left and they don't see education as Socratic, they see it as a way to grab five or six years of the youth of America and have them graduate or at least leave the campus as soldiers in the army of progressivism. So it was an attempt almost every way we think. It was to get rid of meritocracy and start to judge people on the, not on the content of their character, but the color of their skin. And one person really had his finger in the dike and that was Donald Trump. I don't think that a McCain candidate or Romney candidate would have been able to withstand the vituperation that was directed at him. And I mean that in the literal sense. I mean, we've never had in the history of his country, Mark, the secret service, having to shoot at four potential assassins. And they did that in Pennsylvania. They did it twice in Florida and they did it in Washington DC. So it wasn't just, you know, a theoretical attempt to destroy him. People tried to literally kill him and they did when, when they failed, they were often lamented that they failed by hard left members of the opposition. So it's, I don't know. I know people get upset about his vituperation or his tweets or his trolling, but that's a defense mechanism to kind of shake up the left because it's a human response because he knows that there's nobody in the Republican party that can take on this revolution except him. And I think it's wearing on him too. He doesn't show it, but he has to be human and he's done this for a decade. And he's had the never Trumpers. He's had now the democratic socialist. He's had the transformation of the democratic party. One thing I think that I put in the book very quickly, he not only changed the Republican party to a working class party of middle-class people and substituted class interest that we're all in middle class and your race is irrelevant. It's not essential to who you are. You're a middle class. That's the, that's the backbone of America. That was his message, but he transformed the democratic party. He made them so angry and they dropped all pretense, all of the veneer that they were sober and judicious. And they showed that they really were hard left revolutionaries. And that, that can be defined a lot of ways. It can be Chuck Schumer going before the Supreme Court and saying, Gorsuch, Kavanaugh, you sowed the wind, you weep the whirlwind. You don't know what's going to hit you or Maxine Waters. This idea that the socialists came along and absorbed the democratic party or tried to hijack. They got their prompt from the democratic party. They looked at the democratic party and said, we like what they're doing. They want to destroy the electoral college, pack the court, bring in new States, get rid of the filibuster. They've even talked in their journal articles and things about getting rid of this. We like this group. So the democratic party offered the socialists a model and they welcomed them in. And this idea they're separate, it's not true at all. And Donald Trump knew that. So he was a, he's a very combative figure. He's a very controversial figure, but if you can think of anybody on the conservative side that would have tried to, in four years of this administration, take on the whole concept, the whole idea of a left wing transformation or what, you know, Michelle and Barack said, we want to fundamentally transform the country. And they almost did. And there was one person who stopped them so far. Those are fantastic points. And you're right how dangerous the left has become. The democrat party has become, they're not what they used to be. It's not about white paper, policy differences, anymore. You're right also, when you talk about the democrat party and the democratic socialists of America, I think that's why the democrats keep saying we're a big tent. They're just more outspoken about what they want to do to the country than most of these long time establishment democrats. Now, but you also explore in the book, which is also fascinating, where does this, this idea in Donald Trump come from to take on these, these radical movements in our culture, in our politics and so forth and so on. His background would not indicate that this is something he's interested in, that this is something he's focused on, or this is something he really wants to tackle to the ground. You have a chapter here, among other things, and you're talking about all these things he's taken on. He's basically undoing everything the left has tried to do, everything Biden has tried to do. Where does that come from? Well, he had precedents and he adopted some elements of Pat Buchanan, but he got rid of, I'll be frank, there were anti-Semitic elements in the Buchanan movement. There was racialist movements, but he did like the idea that to protect American workers and to be careful about the use of American, it was going to be a Jacksonian rather than a neoconservative nation-building policy. He got a lot of ideas from Rand Paul. He got some ideas, I think a lot of them, as you pointed out, from the Tea Party. But when he looked at the Tea Party, he said they had great ideas, but they didn't really, they were not able to transform those conservative changes or revolutions into actual policy. And why was that? And that was because they never developed a strong leader. There was never anybody we say this was the Tea Party leader that formulated policy and organized and united the Tea Party movement. The other thing about him, he was very canny. He talked about running for years for president, but he did two really key things that I point out in the book. He did not start a third party. He threatened it once in a while. They didn't treat him well, but he looked at the history of third parties and he said they're just protest movements. They never result in actual change. Even Teddy Roosevelt couldn't do it. So he didn't want to be a third party. And then he said, "I do not want to wreck a Republican incumbent, and I'll probably have a hard time beating a Democratic incumbent." So he picked 2016 when there was no Republican incumbent. He wasn't challenging like Buchanan did, George H.W. Bush, etc. And he knew that there wouldn't be a popular person like Obama or Clinton as incumbent running against him. It was a wide open 2016 election. And that was the choice time he thought that he could run and incorporate these previous Tea Party Buchanan movements and change them and moderate, modulate them in a way that would be viable. And he did it, I think he did it pretty much on his own. The book is Counter-Revolution. This is the book. I strongly encourage you to get it. You're going to be fascinated by this book. You can get it on amazon.com, any major bookstore starting on Tuesday. You know how great Victor is as a writer and a thinker and a speaker. This book really is an unbelievable compilation. It says basically the last four or five years, I would say even beyond that. And I think it is a very honest take. And it is a very pro-Trump book, not because you, Victor, are pro-Trump, which I'm sure you are. And I know it's because he's laying out the facts. He's laying out the facts. And you describe the president beautifully as a candidate, as a target, his second term, and so forth and so on. One of the things I was thinking when I was reading your book is this. This is not pure populism. In other words, the president is a constitutionalist too. And we notice that when the courts rule, he honors it. He appeals them and so forth. But he wants to protect the power of the president. He wants to protect the independence of the Supreme Court, which is why he attacks the Democrats. And he does respect the role of Congress. But there's this. You know, there's a give and take and so forth. So I was reminded, I'd be interested in your comment on this. Reagan had a tremendous appeal to the middle class. He won massive landslides, two of them, like a popular vote. He also had big support from the unions, the Teamster unions, and so forth and so on. Do you see when we come back some overlay, at least in that respect, between Reagan and Trump, who I consider two of our greatest presidents, as a matter of fact, and also the the revulsion at things like transitioning little kids and that sort of thing, the attacks on the culture. I'd be curious to know your thoughts on that. Again, folks, I encourage you to go to amazon.com, get your copy, counter revolution. You know, I picked it up and I said, all right, here we go. And I said, wow. And there are things you didn't remember. There's things you didn't learn. Victor, in his own special way, is explaining the context for the what president's thinking and actions and those of his enemies. I strongly encourage you to grab a copy of this book. We'll be right back. Welcome back to America. You know, Victor Davis Hanson, the two greatest Republican presidents in modern history, Trump and Reagan, the two greatest vote getters of Republicans, Trump and Reagan. Do you see some overlap between these two men? Yeah, I do. Reagan is known, you know, as the president that broke the Soviet Union. And he said, our strategy is simple. We win, they lose. And everybody was aghast at that. And but he was also a cultural revolution. I mean, he had the Department of Education and they were trying to stop the attack at that time in the 80s on Western civilization. Everybody thought, you know, the military is sort of in a Vietnam complex. They did pretty well in the Korean War, but after Vietnam, we're not preeminent. So his idea was we're going to be preeminent, the Reagan administration, in almost every aspect of American power. Military, we're going to be influential abroad. We're going to stand down the Soviets. We're going to be we're going to be aware of that China is coming out of its communist bad decades. And we'll have to deal with that. But at home as well, he said, we've got to restore confidence in the American project and Western civilization. So he took on the university, not in the same way Reagan did, but rhetorically. And he took on cultural habits. And that was that was new. Trump was a beneficiary of a lot of what Reagan did. You know, we had people in the Reagan Bush era, Bill Bennett and the Department of Education doing a lot of good things. And you can see the same that carry over today. We've got conservative publishers that are bringing out textbooks that are far different than the Howard Zinn, you know, people's history. It's a multifaceted era. And that's we don't really associate that that idea with a Romney campaign of 2012 or the McCain of 2008 or even the George Bush administrations or the George H. W. Bush. With Reagan, though, you had this sense that he said we've got to stop what's been going on and we've got to holistically deal with what's the problem. And he tried to do that. And it was it was more difficult, I think, at that time, because we were in the Cold War than it is now. In some ways, some ways it's more difficult because we've had a progression with the Obama and Biden. But they were very similar in their ambitions to really do have a sort of counter revolution. I think Trump has been more successful only because there was Reagan was a Reagan was a I don't know how to say it, but he was a product of a give and take Hollywood. He was affable. Everybody loved Reagan. Trump's idea was I've got to take measures that are so unpopular at this eleventh hour that I'm going to be brazen. I'm going to cut to the quick. And I don't care if people don't like me and that Reagan was sort of a soft touch. I don't mean that. I mean that as a compliment. He could win over people and be affable. The irony is that Trump among his associates and his friends and his phone calls is one of the most considerate, compassionate people around. He'll call people up and offer the give them money or he'll he'll say, I'm worried about you or things like that. And no, that doesn't get out of the media. The media hated Reagan, but it hated Trump at a magnitude greater. It really did. So yes, they're very similar. But Trump felt that the hour was much later, even though we weren't in the Cold War. But he owed a lot to Reagan. And he's right. The hour is late. And I often worry you write about it in the book here. I often worry what comes afterwards, and there may be individuals who are Trumpian in a sense, but we're never going to have another Donald Trump. We'll be right back.

welcome back America this is a man who is like super patriotic for this country and so forth and so on and understands the American people better than most people do what do you make of that I agree with you and when he does these things that are controversial but needed you it begs the question why didn't other presidents both Democrat Republican do things and what do I mean by that he why didn't somebody addressed the deterioration of monuments in Washington or the world's capital so to speak was not safe to walk in or the reflecting pool was a miasma or presidents had you know torn parts of the White House to put a bowling alley or basketball court or a swimming pool but they all said there's nowhere to there's nowhere to speak there's nowhere to hold a world class meeting and world-class banquet any of that lectures and he comes along and he does it but he doesn't do it I mean he doesn't do it in the sense that I'm going to be the first person to ever do it he does it because he says why hasn't this been done because we need it and so I think that's what's unusual about him he's always bragging about the US military he calls soldiers up he goes to the funerals he he wants the United States and this is what drives the left crazy because their idea was managed decline a globalist idea were just one of many or to paraphrase Barack Obama were no more exceptional in Greece or Great Britain is but he resented that idea he said we were always exceptional we have the only type of Constitution in the world where the freest people were the most powerful country how did that come across China has one China has four times the population that we do the EU has a hundred more p hundred million more people than we do and yet we have 10 trillion more of a GDP how's that possible so what his whole idea was we're going to be the first in space and they were and people said oh you know NASA is done with they haven't done anything in years he said no no no no we're going to get private enterprise and empower them and then the NASA will have to rise to the challenge and he really almost single-handedly reinvigorated the space race Elon Musk himself launched more missile satellites than the whole world combined last year and when you look at what he did with Silicon Valley he went to all these people who were left you know that the Andreessen's that sacks and all of these people the Elon Musk they all voted against him and he said to them we're in bad trouble we've got to rearm the United States we're short weapon we got to get into the drone racing race we've got to get satellite technology and use it to protect our country we need an iron dome sort of global dome over the United States and just like the war production board of World War Two Trump said I'm appealing to your patriotism not your politics if you will if I can enlist your talent I will protect you from EU censorship from Canadian digital media taxes with you neighbor I'm on your side as long as you're on our side and I define that as America side and it's really amazing when you look at these left-wing companies that opposed him I mean they were censoring news accounts of the the laptop fiasco and almost and they contributed to his defeat Mark Zuckerberg gave over 450 million dollars in 2020 through various surrogates to change helped to change balloting and yet he went back to these people and said you're very talented I'm going to allow you I'm not going to pick winners and losers like Biden wanted to do I'm going to open up I'm going to deregulate I'm going to give you energy I'm going to promote data centers for good or evil but you have to do one thing you have to use those energies and talents for the promotion of the common good and the preeminence of the United States that was very we hadn't seen that in decades somebody take that that type of argument to the opposition and the results are they're undeniable all of a sudden the United States is the greatest producer of oil and gas in history its satellites are preeminent I just looked at the software digital media bioengineering AI companies in terms of market capitalization and things like downloads of the top 10 companies globally in each of those categories the United States has eight or nine corporations in the top ten almost dominates every this is a period when they said you know mark they were saying and just a decade ago that China would have a greater GDP by now than we did and we're ten trillion dollars greater so it's amazing the book is and it is a great book the counter-revolution the fall and rise of Donald Trump and the MAGA movement I encourage you to get it amazon.com come Tuesday when it's released any major bookstore look how he's leading in what I call the next Industrial Revolution data centers you have dime store politicians who are looking at polls for objecting to it and so forth and so on it's local governments that make a determination where they are and how these buildings look and so forth but the president knows this is the next Industrial Revolution every single thing we use is related to AI I just think that's another example of his of his foresight we'll be right back welcome back America we're here with America's wise man that's what I call him because that's what he is the counter-revolution is his brand new book and comes out Tuesday I would pre-order on amazon.com that's the way I roll the fall and rise of Donald Trump and the MAGA movement there is so much in here that is so compelling because the man himself is compelling and the author is compelling Victor Davis Hanson well let's get a little bit into national security and foreign policy let's dig right in to Iran and what the president's been doing in Iran we have people who said he campaigned against this kind of thing and we we call a lot of those isolationists and so forth and so on but did he not also say peace through strength again that is sort of a Reagan phrase peace through strength and hasn't he also demonstrated as you demonstrate in your book a hesitance to use military power but if he feels it's necessary he will use military power explain yeah he never ran as an isolationist he never ran as a nation builder he ran as a Jacksonian his idea was don't tread on the United States where you'll have no better friend but you'll have no worse enemy if you do that and to carry out that policy we had to be have a preeminent military so he really in the first term tried to rebuild it but when he looked at Iran there were two kind of contrast or antithetical positions he had to guide he had to navigate between them one was given the misadventures in Afghanistan and Iraq we don't do well when we put thousands of troops on the ground we if we don't win very quickly and winnings very hard in those societies because you have to change the government and they have no experience with consensual rule and then on the other hand he said well seven prior prior presidents have said this is intolerable that this huge country that was once so pro-western and so powerful under the Shaw and earlier rulers now is using that 93 million population and all of its traditions and its resources with oil fourth largest reserve or third in the world for nefarious purposes and most of the problems in the Middle East come from Iran they bully the Arab Gulf exporters they have a ring of fire of terrorist appendages around Israel they subsidize terrorism all over Europe and the Western world but nobody has done anything so I'm gonna do something with one caveat I am NOT going to invade this country and try to overthrow the government and rack up a decade and casually then he hasn't done that I think people don't realize that he knew something had to be done because every year they were getting closer and closer to nuclear weapons and once they got them with that lunatic attitude whether genuine or contrived they had deterrence and with deterrence they could do almost anything and they would dominate the entire Middle East and prior administrations like the Obama administration said well maybe we can balance Iran and the Shia crescent Syria Lebanon's taken over there's Iran the Houthis Hamas and then we'll kind of play them against Israel in the Gulf States and we'll adjudicate that was a crazy idea but that was kind of US policy under Biden but especially under Obama so he said no no it's intolerable time has run out but I've got to find a way to squeeze them and disarm them without invading them and without trying to nation-build and he thought that the popular popular revolt might happen right after the Berlin Wall it took two years with Soviet Union to fall but it did fall it took many months for Eastern European governments so I think it's kind of a Civil War Union anaconda strategy now we're squeezing them economically financially they can't import goods they can't export oil the people are getting restive and I think his big worry right now is at what point will things get so terrible in Iran I think we're getting there how do you ensure that the people are not hurt by this awful regime that doesn't care about their own people and that's a concern I think he has and that that explains why some of us were surprised that we thought maybe at 38 days he should not have stopped or 40 days or 45 but I think he was thinking that if I destroy the entire infrastructure that regime it'll take a year or two for the people to rise up and you'll get mass starvation or something disease or so much chaos it'll be counterproductive so it's kind of a strategy right now to just say we can we can continue with American problems and issues and policies without being obsessed with Iran they are frozen they can't do anything we've got them in a stranglehold and all time is not on their side it's on our side and that I think is that the strategy right now and I think it will eventually work but boy he's taken a lot of criticism from people say the war is lost on no evidence I can't believe people on the conservative side even have said this was a fight fiasco it's destroyed his presence it hasn't at all if people give it time you will see radical changes in Iran for the first time in 50 years very very well put when we come back really I want to address two issues what comes post-Trump and also the president's really bold condemnation of antisemitism of antisemites some who used to be friends of his and so forth and so on let's see if we can address both of those because I think he's been quite the leader in trying to deal with with that and in the future of the Republican Party and so forth depending on who is capable of picking up the mantle and getting elected as a Republican do you think that they will share his principles and his belief systems and have the guts to say the kind of things that he says we'll be right back welcome back America tour de force the counter-revolution written by a great author of Victor Davis Hanson so Victor Davis Hanson what do you see in the future in terms of MAGA and what do you see in the future in terms of a Republican MAGA type candidate fighting antisemitism or gaslighting antisemitism yes well I we know that pumps been trolling and kidding around he's not gonna run for a third term I don't think he wants to we couldn't I think easily and he doesn't want to so the question is what's the MAGA movement I think it's irreversible the idea that we're gonna go back and allow China to dump product here below the cost of production or we're going to semi embrace the green agenda or we're gonna have open borders again as many Republicans did in the past I don't think that's gonna happen he's created a workers a working class middle class party and as I said earlier race is incidental not essential so he's trying to say that the black truck driver the Hispanic electrician the white sheetrock person and the suburban people like them they all have more in common and they're their enemies are not themselves but the East Coast liberal progressive establishment and that's not going to change and the question is who's going to succeed him I mean can you have sunlight without the Sun as one person put it and I think we have kind of an arbitrary divide between the Vance and Rubio even though Marco Rubio quite magnanimous Lee said he wouldn't run if JD Vance did JD Vance was selected contrary to all popular wisdom they said it well he's from Ohio and that's a red state they're gonna get it win it anyway in 24 and he's so he's a white male no diversity and yet Trump said well he's a masterful debater he's great on repartee and you better watch out media he's gonna destroy you and he did but I think his problem right now is that this mega movement that which I was talking about there are elements within it that want to be sort of a nationalist party in the sense of isolationism and they feel that Israel is a pernicious influence is dragging us into the two wars that are not in our interest etc etc and I'll go a little further I think a lot of the people in that movement want to deliberately be provocative to force JD Vance to say try to disown me and see what happens in 2028 so he's he feels he's in a dilemma but at some point I think that he'll do the right thing and I think he's gonna have anybody who's going to run for the office in 2028 is going to have to do two things as far as foreign policy they're gonna have to say whether you like it or not Israel has been the best friend that we've had in the Middle East in every sense of the way it's the only oasis of democracy of liberality of compassion and humanity and we're going to support it and number two people that are Jewish have a natural right to have an affinity with Israel's the historical home of the Jews there's no conspiracy they reflect the majority of our party and we're going to stop trying to demonize them we're not the left the left is completely anti-semitic it's completely anti-israeli they'll pay a price for that so we're not going to go there and for all of you who want to draw me in I think JD Vance will say and draw me in and try to make an artificial divide I'm gonna have to come out and say you don't represent the Republican Party values you don't represent the magma movement and you don't represent the legacy of Donald Trump and I think he can do it if he's the candidate but it's not just a D Vance any candidate who's nominated is gonna have to do that well I sit on the edge of my chair waiting for that I look forward to that very very much this is a fantastic book by Victor Davis Hanson the counter-revolution you get it at amazon.com any major bookstore starting on Tuesday Victor God bless you my friend you look good and healthy and you've written a real fantastic book thank you mark
