A Sunday template, one of a batch of Texas endorsements

The post went up at 2:04 PM Eastern on Sunday, November 1, 2026, two days before the midterm election. Daylight saving time ended early that morning, so UTC-5 applies, and the hour is the same at Mar-a-Lago or in Washington. It belongs to a run of same-day Texas House endorsements (Jace Yarbrough in TX-32, Eric Flores in TX-34, Carlos De La Cruz in TX-35, Jon Bonck in TX-38), and it is built from the same parts as those posts. A biographical credential comes first ("served over 20 years as a District Court Judge in Williamson County"). Then comes the usual policy list ("Grow our Economy, Cut Taxes and Regulations, Promote MADE IN THE U.S.A., Champion American Energy DOMINANCE... Strengthen our Military/Veterans"), and then the closing formula ("Complete and Total Endorsement"). The only words that change between posts are the verbs in front of each policy item ("Champion" here, "Unleash" or "Advance" elsewhere).

Who wrote it

Several features point to staff drafting from a template. The policy list is copied between posts. The district number and county are given exactly. The signature reads "President DONALD J. TRUMP", and the link goes to a get-out-the-vote site. Two modifiers do read like his own edits laid over the template: "Keep our now very Secure Border, SECURE" (the doubled "Secure" lets him brag in the middle of a sentence) and "Defend our always under siege Second Amendment." In other endorsements from this cycle the same slots usually read "Secure the Border" and "Protect our Second Amendment", so these phrasings may come from him through dictation or a final pass. The capitalization of common nouns ("Great People", "Re-Election") is his house style, which staff now copy as well. Best estimate: an aide-written frame with a few authentic touches.

What the post is doing

This is maintenance-mode patronage, and nothing in it responds to an injury. Authority runs in one direction: he gives endorsements, and the candidate receives them. Carter's credentials are listed to show that the endorsement goes to a worthy person, and the closing line, "HE WILL NEVER LET YOU DOWN!", makes loyalty the main thing the candidate offers. The grandiose content is small and comes in sideways. "our now very Secure Border" credits his own administration with the result while it praises Carter. Calling the Second Amendment "always under siege" brings in a besieged-in-group frame without naming who is attacking it. That clause is the only paranoid-adjacent feature in the post, and it is a fixed slogan, not a reaction to anything new.

On the Big Five, assertiveness and achievement striving stand out: the post praises a man for the work he does ("working tirelessly"). Agreeableness shows up here only as patronage toward someone already loyal. The communal tone covers the candidate and voters and reaches no one outside the in-group. Defenses are limited to idealization ("Fantastic Representative", "very distinguished and respected"), and they are mild and conventional for an endorsement.

Rhetoric and risk

The devices are superlatives, a slogan list, ALL CAPS for the mobilizing call ("GET OUT AND VOTE FOR JUDGE"), and the "Migrant Crime, Murderers, and other Criminals" phrase that ties migration to crime. That phrase is the post's sharpest edge. It is stock wording from his immigration messaging, it names no individual, and the only call to action is voting. The Kobach/Wichita post from the same day carries the election-integrity grievance. This one does not.

Language

The syntax holds together and the policy list is in parallel form. The one awkward construction, "Keep our now very Secure Border, SECURE", is deliberate emphasis and not a production error. The text is too templated to tell us anything about cognition.

Facts

The biographical claims check out. Carter was a Williamson County district judge from 1981 to 2001 and has represented TX-31 since 2003. "now very Secure Border" is a characterization. Southwest border encounters fell to multi-decade lows during 2025 and stayed there into mid-2026, which supports the direction of the claim. "very Secure" overstates what encounter counts can show, and the figures cited here run only through mid-2026.
