A rally-line interview, posted as proof he was watching

The clip is a Right Side Broadcasting Network (RSBN) street interview outside the South Carolina rally. A high school senior from Charleston, at his sixth Trump event, says "Gen Z loves Trump," lists a string of policy talking points, and then, prompted by the interviewer ("Trump is always watching our RSBN... give him a message"), speaks straight into the lens: "Mr. Trump, please never lose your fierce courage. We love you. We support you... America loves you." Trump attached no words of his own.

The post makes most sense next to one from earlier the same day: "Just arrived in South Carolina! Watching the Right Side Broadcasting Network (RSBN) Interviews of the people outside that are unable to get into the Arena." The interviewer tells the supporter that Trump is watching. Trump then shows that he was by publishing the message back to his audience. The loop runs from supporter to camera to Trump to feed. A message addressed to him becomes a public display that it reached him. The behavior is supply-seeking of a familiar kind for him: he receives devotion and then shows his audience that he received it.

What the clip claims on his behalf

The clip's main claim is about who supports him, and policy comes second. "The youth supports him and Gen Z loves Trump" is one teenager's testimony offered as a generational verdict. That is useful to Trump in the final week of a midterm campaign, when national polling of voters under 30 has mostly run against him. An enthusiastic young face answers that polling with a single case. The same day he posted "My Approval Rating in the Republican Party is now at 99%" and "BIGGEST CROWDS... by a factor of five times." The clip is the human-scale version of those numbers. In each case adoration is presented as a measure of standing.

The supporter's rapid list repeats Trump's own stump lines almost word for word: "the lowest murder rate in 125 years / No tax on tips. No tax on overtime. No tax on Social Security. No men and women's sports." These are the supporter's claims, so they are kept out of the fact-check record. Two of them are worth noting as amplified material. The 2025 tax law created capped, temporary deductions for tips and overtime and an added senior deduction. It did not eliminate taxes on Social Security benefits, so "no tax on Social Security" overstates what was passed. The murder-rate line echoes a figure Trump himself uses, which rests on preliminary data and a long-run historical comparison. By posting the clip, Trump circulates these claims under someone else's voice, without having to assert them in his own words.

One small detail: the student says "We played hooky today," and the interviewer approves ("That's the way to do it"). Trump did not say this. Still, his choice of clip puts a minor skipping school to attend a rally in front of his audience without comment. This fits the event's framing of loyalty, in which showing up costs something.

Self-schema and narrative

The clip gives Trump a protagonist role he favors: the courageous leader whom ordinary people beg to keep fighting. "Never lose your fierce courage" and "never lose your heart for the country" cast him as a hero who is still under strain and needs his followers' encouragement. That is the redemptive, embattled-champion frame he has used through the 2026 campaign, delivered by a fan rather than by himself. The only contrasting other is the supporter's passing line "We're not believing what comes from the left." Within the clip that line is mild and is not developed into an attack.

On the trait level the post reads as extraverted and status-oriented, with agency motives (standing, crowd size, generational reach) well ahead of anything communal. The warmth in the clip flows toward him, and the post returns none except by exhibiting it. The main defense on display is idealization: the clip pictures him as unmatched ("His record is unmatched") and pictures his support as unanimous.

Timing and who chose the clip

The post went up at 16:46 UTC, which was 12:46 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time in South Carolina, where he had just landed. Midday posting during a campaign stop is consistent with staff clipping and uploading RSBN footage. Against that, his own post earlier in the day says he personally was watching these interviews. That makes it plausible he picked out this exchange or asked for it to be posted. Neither side of the evidence is decisive.

Nothing here carries danger. The post names no target and implies no action. Its only out-group reference is "the left," and that line is an aside in a fan's testimonial. Because no words are his, the post offers no evidence of his language production. The supporter's speech is fluent, but it belongs to the supporter.
