A revenge line set to a song about wanting to heal

The post carries no words of his own. What he published is a short video whose audio opens with a single spoken line — "Retribution will be through success" — before dropping into a music bed. The song is recognizable from the transcribed lyrics ("I wanna heal ♪ I wanna feel ♪ What I thought was never real ♪ ... Somewhere I belong"): Linkin Park's "Somewhere I Belong," a 2003 track about alienation and the wish to be repaired. The runs of ♪ mark the instrumental passages. Nobody is named anywhere in the clip, which is the absence that shapes everything else about it, and the audio advances nothing checkable.

The spoken line is a slogan he has used himself since late 2024, and it is doing the interesting work here. "Retribution" names the wish — payback against people who wronged him — and the rest of the sentence immediately relocates that wish somewhere socially acceptable: the payback is success. That is rationalization in a compact form. The impulse is not disavowed (the word stays), it is re-licensed. Published in the week of a UN General Assembly address, a Zelensky meeting, and a Xi state visit, the line reads as a scoreboard claim: the achievements are the payback, and the audience is invited to read the week's diplomacy as settled accounts.

What the music choice adds that the slogan doesn't

The pairing is the part that doesn't reduce to triumphalism. A retribution slogan would ordinarily be scored to something martial. Instead the accompanying lyrics are about injury and longing — "the pain I felt so long," "I wanna feel like I'm close to something real," "somewhere I belong." Whether he chose the track or approved someone else's edit, what went out under his name is a grandiose claim resting on an explicitly wounded emotional register. Both narcissistic registers are present in one artifact: the expansive self (vindication through winning) and the vulnerable self (unhealed, unbelonging, still in pain). In his written posts the two usually alternate across hours or days; here they are stacked.

The narrative shape is a redemption sequence with the transformation left implicit. Pain came first and lasted long; success is the resolution; the agents of the pain are never named, which lets every follower supply their own list. He is cast as the man who was hurt and won anyway — a survivor's role, softer than the fighter framing he typically reaches for.

Grievance without a target

The grievance is real and explicitly referenced as long-standing pain, but there is nobody for it to land on. No person, institution, or group is identified, so an audience given the wish is given no object for it. "Retribution" is the only word here with any eliminationist pull, and the sentence spends its second half converting it into ambition. Nothing in the clip asks anyone to do anything.

Measured against the prior day's post about Jerry Kassar, with its capitalized asides and MAGA-loyalty framing, this is a quieter piece of self-presentation: no enemy, no all-caps, and the only claim made on his behalf is that he has won enough for it to count as justice.

Attribution and what the timestamp can and can't carry

00:39 UTC is 8:39 p.m. Eastern on September 25 — evening, well outside business hours, though not the 1–5 a.m. window that usually marks unfiltered posting. Media-only shares of supporter edits are a standing habit of this account, which slightly favors his own hand on the publish button. With no written text there is nothing to score stylometrically, and the attribution question reduces to who selected the clip. The evidence supports a lean and stops there.
