Mike Collins has my Complete and Total Endorsement to be the next U.S. Senator from Georgia — HE WILL NEVER LET YOU DOWN! President DONALD J. TRUMP

Video transcript 3:54

>> Hello, Georgia, a place that I love. This November I'm asking you to knock doors, volunteer, and get out and vote for an incredible guy respected by everybody in Washington, one of the most, Mike Collins, to be your next United States Senator from Georgia, now a congressman. And he is a true patriot and fighter who has been with us from the very beginning. And he is my complete and total endorsement, he always has. Mike wrote the very first bill I signed into law last year, the Lake and Riley Act, which included strong penalties for illegal alien criminals and killers. Mike will always be tough on crime, and as your next Senator, he'll vote for strong borders, lower taxes, a booming economy, and the greatest military anywhere in the world. Mike is running against a radical left Democrat named John Ossoff, highly overrated, I beat him before. If you remember six years ago or so, he was running for Congress, and I had a Congressperson that nobody ever heard of, and Ossoff was leading by a lot, I got involved in the race, and Ossoff went down to a serious defeat, a very shocking defeat. So I've beaten him once, and now I'm gonna beat him again with a very much better candidate, a strong candidate, a great candidate. And as you know, I've been saying that Ossoff is a lightweight, he's like Pee Wee Herman. I don't know if you know Pee Wee Herman, you don't want to be too much like, but he's a lookalike, and a very ineffective Senator who happens to have a lot of money pouring into his campaign because everybody needs his vote, so they can open up your borders and they can have men playing in women's sports. And all of the other things, he's gonna give Georgia zero, zero achievement. Nobody respects Ossoff in Congress. Nobody respects him in the Senate. He's a laughing socket. I don't know, he's got a good PR machine, because people say that he's doing well in terms of the vote. I don't think he's done, hasn't done anything. But Ossoff betrayed Georgia by voting against no tax on tips, no tax on overtime, no tax on Social Security for our great seniors. He voted against pay raises for our troops. He's against our military. He voted against massive improvements at Fort Benning and Fort Stewart. He is absolutely against voter ID and proof of citizenship, which means he wants to cheat. That's all it means. And Ossoff voted for men in women's sports, transgender mutilization of your children, wide open borders so every country can send their criminal into America. We now have the strongest border, the best border we've ever had, and we're gonna keep it that way. So on November 3rd, Georgia, you have to do this. I won you big, and I love Georgia, and Georgia loves me. We had a big success in the presidential election. That's why our country has never ever done better than it's done now. We have $20 trillion flowing in with no country has ever had that. So I asked you to go out and vote against John Ossoff, and instead elect a real man, Mike Collins, for the United States Senate. Mike is respected by everybody. He'll be a great senator, and besides that, he's central casting. You just look at him. He is meant to be a senator. Again, everybody loves him in Washington. They do as he says. He'll bring it all back to Georgia. He will bring Georgia more gifts than anybody I can think of. So go out and vote for Mike Collins. Thank you.

The written post is a staff template, the third identical Senate endorsement of the day. The attached video is Trump speaking, and his ad-libs turn a Collins endorsement into a personal rematch with Jon Ossoff. He retells the 2017 Georgia House special election as his own win and "a very shocking defeat." That race was nine years ago, not "six years ago or so," was decided by about 3.6 points, and was won by a former Secretary of State he calls "a Congressperson that nobody ever heard of." He never mentions Ossoff's 2021 Senate win over Trump-backed David Perdue. The result is a win-only history of an opponent who has beaten his side before. He admits Ossoff's polling strength and puts it down to a "PR machine." The ridicule is gendered, a "Pee Wee Herman" lookalike set against Collins as "a real man," and the praise of Collins is about looks: "central casting." The line with the most consequence is "he wants to cheat. That's all it means." It reads opposition to voter ID as fraud intent six weeks before an election, repeating the frame he used for Georgia's 2020 result. The ad-libbed passages show abandoned clauses and merged sentences, but this one partly scripted clip supports only a slight deviation from baseline.

Danger Assessment

None

Gaslighting Detected:
  • 2017 House result recast as 'a very shocking defeat' for Ossoff, with Ossoff's 2021 Senate win omitted
  • Polling that favors Ossoff dismissed as a 'PR machine'
  • Opposition to voter ID declared to mean intent to cheat, with no other reading allowed
Reality Distortions:
  • Describes the 2017 GA-6 special election as 'six years ago or so' and a crushing defeat; it was nine years earlier and decided by about 3.6 points
  • Calls Karen Handel 'a Congressperson that nobody ever heard of'; she was a former Georgia Secretary of State
  • '$20 trillion flowing in' treats investment pledges as realized inflows, at roughly double the administration's own tallies
Fact Checks (7)
"Mike Collins wrote the Laken Riley Act, the first bill Trump signed into law last year."
True

Collins sponsored the House version of the Laken Riley Act (H.R. 29). Trump signed it on January 29, 2025, the first bill he signed in his second term.

"About six years ago Ossoff, running for Congress, was leading by a lot, Trump got involved, and Ossoff suffered a serious, shocking defeat against a candidate nobody had heard of."
Mostly False

The race was the June 2017 GA-6 special election, nine years earlier. Ossoff led the first round with about 48% and led some runoff polls. Karen Handel, a former Georgia Secretary of State, won the runoff roughly 51.8% to 48.2%. Trump did endorse and support Handel. The claim omits that Ossoff beat Trump-backed Senator David Perdue in the January 2021 runoff.

"Ossoff voted against no tax on tips, no tax on overtime, and no tax on Social Security."
Half True

Ossoff voted against the 2025 reconciliation law (One Big Beautiful Bill Act), which created temporary deductions for tip and overtime income and an added senior deduction. It did not fully exempt any of them, and Social Security benefits stayed partly taxable. The vote was on the whole package. The standalone No Tax on Tips Act passed the Senate by unanimous consent in May 2025 without objection from Ossoff.

"Ossoff voted for men in women's sports."
Half True

In March 2025 Ossoff voted against cloture on the Protection of Women and Girls in Sports Act, which would have barred transgender girls and women from female school sports. He opposed the ban. He did not vote for any affirmative measure, so 'voted for' mischaracterizes the vote.

"We have $20 trillion flowing in; no country has ever had that."
False

The figure refers to announced investment pledges, not money that has arrived. The White House's own 2025 tallies of pledged investment were roughly $9–10 trillion, and independent reviews found many pledges vague, overlapping, or multi-year. There is no $20 trillion in realized inflows.

"I won Georgia big in the presidential election."
Half True

Trump won Georgia in 2024 by about 2.2 points (roughly 50.7% to 48.5%, about 115,000 votes). He won, but 'big' overstates a close margin.

"We now have the strongest border, the best border we've ever had."
Mostly True

Southwest border apprehensions in 2025 fell to their lowest monthly levels in decades of CBP records, which supports a record-low-crossings claim. 'Strongest' and 'best' are evaluative, and the measure depends on encounter data.
