An in-house poll, posted the day after threatening the other side of the table

The whole post is one graphic: a Fabrizio, Lee & Associates chart asking "Do you favor or oppose the peace deal reached between the U.S. and Iran?" with "Favor 67%," "Oppose 26%," "Not Sure 7%," fielded 6/16–6/18 with n=1,500. He added no words. What can be analyzed is which poll he picked and when he posted it.

Where the poll comes from. Fabrizio, Lee & Associates is Tony Fabrizio's firm, Trump's longtime campaign pollster. The graphic names the firm but does not say who paid for the survey. Anyone who follows Republican polling knows the name, and most other readers won't. So he is putting forward his own camp's numbers as public opinion with no caption to flag that. A single sponsored poll presented as the public's verdict is ordinary political messaging. The notable thing is that he chose to rely on it at this moment.

Timing and what he was answering. According to the event record, the previous day he threatened to "hit Iran very hard again" while Vice President Vance sat in talks in Switzerland. Iran's delegation filed a formal protest saying the threats broke the MOU. Days earlier he had floated charging "tolls" on the Strait of Hormuz and then dropped the idea. His feud with Meloni was also partly about Italy's opposition to the Iran war. Against that week, a chart showing two-thirds approval for "the peace deal" recasts a shaky, contested process as a finished and popular success. The best reading is supply-seeking mixed with pre-emption. The trigger is the criticism of how he handled the talks, and the graphic answers it with a popularity number rather than a response on substance. The evidence ends at the timing: nothing in the image points to a particular critic.

The word "reached." The poll question calls the deal "reached." The event record describes a 60-day ceasefire, an MOU, and final-deal talks that were still going on, with Trump himself warning of new strikes "if they don't make a deal." Calling it a finished deal borrows the permanence of an agreement that did not exist yet. That wording belongs to the pollster, not to him, so it is not scored as his claim. Still, sharing it gives him the benefit of that framing. Defensively this is closest to rationalization and idealization: approval figures stand in for proof that the policy works, and "peace deal" sits beside threats of renewed bombing from a day earlier without anything to reconcile the two. Pairing peacemaker with bomber in the same week is also a split self-presentation. Each role gets its own post, and neither mentions the other.

Narrative role. The graphic casts him as the dealmaker and peacemaker whom the public approves of. That is the Hero/King posture, the order-restorer who ended a war, and it runs alongside the Warrior posture of his threats. Nobody is attacked, so nothing is projected onto an enemy. The in-group being claimed is a 67% majority, an appeal to popularity (bandwagon) that treats a number as settling the question.

Personality. On the trait level, the post shows assertive self-promotion and a need to be seen as winning. His agency and status motives come out as a demand for validation. It shows no communion: no word about Iranians, U.S. service members, or Italy, only the approval score.

Authorship. There is no text to read stylistically. The post went up at 21:50 UTC, which is 5:50 pm Eastern if he was in Washington, near the end of business hours. It was one of several media-only posts that day. Posting a campaign pollster's chart fits both a staff-prepared asset and his well-known habit of posting favorable polls himself. Any attribution here is about who picked the graphic and pressed post, not who made it.

Risk. He names no target and uses no hostile language, and the content points toward de-escalation. Its only edge is what it leaves out: the threats of the previous day stand unmentioned beside it.
