There is no caption, so the entire behavior under analysis is the choice to resurface this image on the eve of the Iran deal signing ("The Deal is scheduled to get signed tomorrow," posted the same day). The pairing is not incidental: a photo proving he once sat down with a nuclear-armed adversary and produced a headline-grabbing summit slots neatly beside his same-day claim that Iran "no longer want[s] a Nuclear Weapon" because of his personal intervention. Read against that adjacent post, the image functions as visual proof-of-concept for his self-image as the leader who neutralizes nuclear threats through direct, personal dealmaking — the same protagonist role ("I did what predecessors couldn't") that appears verbally in his Obama/JCPOA post from the same day ("an easy, beautiful, smooth road to a Nuclear Weapon... My Agreement... A WALL TO NO NUCLEAR WEAPON").

The week also carried friction: a $10B defamation suit facing dismissal over missed deadlines, and a chorus of boos at Madison Square Garden. Reaching for a triumphant legacy photo the same week those setbacks are in the news fits a pattern of shoring up the grandiose self-image with historical evidence rather than addressing the current friction directly — an idealization of past self used as reassurance rather than a response to any specific criticism.

Nothing in the image or its publication depicts a target, a grievance, or an incitement; the content is retrospective and self-flattering rather than combative.
