Post from Truth Social

Negotiations with the Islamic Republic of Iran are proceeding nicely! It will only be a Great Deal for all or, no Deal at all — Back to the Battlefront and shooting, but bigger and stronger than ever before — And nobody wants that! During my discussions on Saturday with President Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud, of Saudi Arabia, Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, of The United Arab Emirates, Emir Tamim bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, Prime Minister Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim bin Jaber Al Thani, and Minister Ali al-Thawadi, of Qatar, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir Ahmed Shah, of Pakistan, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, of Türkiye, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, of Egypt, King Abdullah II, of Jordan, and King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, of Bahrain, I stated that, after all the work done by the United States to try and pull this very complex puzzle together,  it should be mandatory that all of these Countries, at a minimum, simultaneously, sign onto the Abraham Accords. Those Countries discussed are Saudi Arabia, The United Arab Emirates (already a Member!), Qatar, Pakistan, Türkiye, Egypt, Jordan, and Bahrain (already a Member!). It may be possible that one or two have a reason for not doing so, and that will be accepted, but most should be ready, willing, and able to make this Settlement with Iran a far more Historic Event than it would, otherwise, be. The Abraham Accords have proven to be, for the Countries involved (The United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Morocco, Sudan, and Kazakhstan), a Financial, Economic, and Social BOOM, even during this time of Conflict and War, with the current Members never even suggesting leaving, or taking so much as even a pause. The reason for this is that the Abraham Accords have been great for them, and will be even better for everybody, and bring true Power, Strength, and Peace to the Middle East for the first time in 5,000 years. It will be a Document respected like no other that has ever been signed, anywhere in the World. Its level of Importance and Prestige will be unparalleled! It should start with the immediate signing by Saudi Arabia and Qatar, and everybody else should follow suit. If they don’t, they should not be part of this Deal in that it shows bad intention. In speaking to numerous of the Great Leaders mentioned above, they would be honored, as soon as our Document is signed, to have the Islamic Republic of Iran as part of the Abraham Accords. Wow, now that would be something special! This will be the most important Deal that any of these Great, but always in Conflict Countries, will ever sign. Nothing in the past, or in the future, will surpass it. Therefore, I am mandatorily requesting that all Countries immediately sign the Abraham Accords, and that, if Iran signs its Agreement with me, as President of the United States of America, it would be an Honor to have them also be part of this unparalleled World Coalition. The Middle East would be United, Powerful, and Economically Strong, like perhaps no other area, anywhere in the World! By copy of this TRUTH, I am asking my Representatives to begin, and successfully complete, the process of signing these Countries into the already Historic Abraham Accords. Thank you for your attention to this matter!

Long Truth Social post in which Trump publicly mandates that eight Muslim-majority nations sign the Abraham Accords as a precondition for an Iran settlement, framing non-compliance as evidence of bad intention. Likely authentic dictation with staff assistance on the dignitary name block — stylistic fingerprints are characteristically his. Psychological state is grandiose-expansive: post constructs him as singular world-historical dealmaker capable of compelling sovereign nations by social-media fiat. Defenses include idealization of the Accords as unparalleled document, splitting of nations into compliant/disloyal categories, and denial of coercion inherent in mandatory framing. Rhetorical structure relies on superlatives, false dichotomy (Great Deal or no Deal — Back to the Battlefront and shooting, bigger and stronger than ever before), and implicit military threat as negotiation lever. Danger level elevated due to explicit invocation of expanded kinetic war as the alternative to compliance during active US-Iran ceasefire negotiations. Cognitive presentation within baseline — coherent argument structure, no marked paraphasias or word-finding difficulty, though syntax shows characteristic run-on quality. Continues a pattern from May 23 (United States of the Middle East? map post) of treating Iran and the broader region as objects of personal arrangement rather than sovereign actors.

Danger Assessment

Elevated

Indicators:
  • Explicit threat of expanded military action (Back to the Battlefront and shooting, but bigger and stronger than ever before) during active ceasefire negotiations
  • Framing of sovereign non-cooperation as bad intention warranting exclusion — pressure structure that could justify escalation
  • Coercive mandate language directed at multiple foreign governments via social media
Reality Distortions:
  • Claim that Abraham Accords would bring peace for the first time in 5,000 years — hyperbolic and historically untenable
  • Implication that leaders of 8 sovereign nations can be mandated to sign a treaty by US presidential request
  • Framing of mandatorily requesting as honor those leaders would be honored to accept

Fact Checks (5)
"United Arab Emirates and Bahrain are members of the Abraham Accords"
True

UAE and Bahrain signed the Abraham Accords with Israel in September 2020; both remain signatories.

"Morocco, Sudan, and Kazakhstan are members of the Abraham Accords"
Half True

Morocco joined the Accords in December 2020 and Sudan agreed to normalize in October 2020 (though Sudan's participation has been complicated by subsequent political instability). Kazakhstan was not a historical Abraham Accords signatory through 2024; inclusion here may reflect a 2025-2026 expansion under the second Trump administration but cannot be confirmed from baseline knowledge.

"Abraham Accords would bring peace to the Middle East for the first time in 5,000 years"
False

Hyperbolic claim; the Middle East has experienced numerous extended periods of regional peace and stable empire across 5,000 years. Rhetorical flourish rather than factual assertion.

"Trump held discussions on Saturday (May 23, 2026) with the named leaders of Saudi Arabia, UAE, Qatar, Pakistan, Türkiye, Egypt, Jordan, and Bahrain"
True

Multiple independent and credible sources confirm that on Saturday, May 23, 2026, President Trump held a joint phone call from the Oval Office with the leaders of all eight named countries to discuss Iran negotiations and regional stability. Arab News, NPR, PBS, Fox News, the Times of Israel, and Anadolu Agency all reported on the call. Confirmed participants match the post's roster: Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, UAE President Mohamed bin Zayed Al-Nahyan, Qatari Emir Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, Pakistan army chief Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, Jordan's King Abdullah II, and Bahrain's King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa. The additional Qatari officials Trump named are also verifiable: Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani is Qatar's Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, and Ali al-Thawadi is a Qatari Minister at the Prime Minister's Office for strategy affairs and Qatar's representative to Trump's Gaza 'Board of Peace' (appointed January 2026). The Arab News write-up referenced 'Saturday, May 24' but contemporaneous reporting from multiple outlets (NPR, PBS, Times of Israel, Anadolu) all date the call to Saturday, May 23, 2026, consistent with the post's timing. Trump publicly stated after the call that an Iran agreement had been 'largely negotiated' tied to reopening the Strait of Hormuz, which matches the post's framing.

"Current Abraham Accords members have experienced Financial, Economic, and Social BOOM from membership"
Half True

UAE-Israel bilateral trade did expand substantially post-2020 (reaching multi-billion dollar levels), and Bahrain saw modest economic gains. Characterization as BOOM is overstated; effects were significant but not transformative for member economies overall.

Daily Digest Memorial Day weaponized: dawn grievance, accidental DM, dusk nuclear ultimatum

Trump spent Memorial Day moving between three modes — partisan grievance, fan-account amplification, and big foreign-policy theater. He started before dawn with a swipe at Democrats and Republican critics, then used his Memorial Day greeting itself to slip in another partisan jab. At one point he ap...
