The embedded post argues the media portrayed Barack Obama as a messianic/angelic figure with no outrage from Democrats or the left, citing two magazine covers (checked off with green checkmarks): The New Republic (Jan 2008) and Newsweek (May 2012). Below the text are two magazine cover images side by side: the left cover, "The New Republic," titled "The Trials of Barack Obama," shows a stylized painted portrait of Obama superimposed on an American flag design; the right cover is "Newsweek" showing a photo of Obama with a rainbow-colored halo/ring above his head and the headline "THE FIRST GAY PRESIDENT" with a byline "Andrew Sullivan."
