Analysis: Lady Gaga's Father Endorsement Reshare

This is a reshare of a September 2024 NY Post article about Joe Germanotta (Lady Gaga's father) endorsing Trump during the 2024 campaign. Posted on March 1, 2026 — well over a year after the article's publication — this is a retrospective supply-seeking post, mining old favorable coverage for continued validation.

Timing & Authorship

Posted at 2:17 PM ET (Trump likely at Mar-a-Lago or traveling near Corpus Christi, TX). Business hours, clean formatting, no typos, simple link-share format — consistent with aide/Scavino posting. The post is a verbatim headline paste with URL.

Psychological Function

This post serves as narcissistic supply maintenance — broadcasting that a celebrity-adjacent figure endorsed him. The choice of Lady Gaga's father is notable: Gaga is culturally coded as liberal/progressive, so her father's endorsement serves as a "defection from the enemy camp" narrative, enhancing the supply value.

Context

This appears amid a flurry of posts on March 1, 2026, including military action against Iran and multiple Fox News/NY Post reshares. The endorsement post is filler content in a high-volume posting day, likely queued by staff.

Rhetorical Note

The migrant crisis framing in the headline ties the endorsement to immigration — a core grievance issue — even though the article is from 2024.
