Post from Truth Social

The United States did not attend the G20 in South Africa, because the South African Government refuses to acknowledge or address the horrific Human Right Abuses endured by Afrikaners, and other descendants of Dutch, French, and German settlers. To put it more bluntly, they are killing white people, and randomly allowing their farms to be taken from them. Perhaps, worst of all, the soon to be out of business New York Times and the Fake News Media won't issue a word against this genocide. That's why all the Liars and Pretenders of the Radical Left Media are going out of business! At the conclusion of the G20, South Africa refused to hand off the G20 Presidency to a Senior Representative from our U.S. Embassy, who attended the Closing Ceremony. Therefore, at my direction, South Africa will NOT be receiving an invitation to the 2026 G20, which will be hosted in the Great City of Miami, Florida next year. South Africa has demonstrated to the World they are not a country worthy of Membership anywhere, and we are going to stop all payments and subsidies to them, effective immediately. Thank you for your attention to this matter!

Trump announces sweeping punitive measures against South Africa—G20 boycott, revoked 2026 invitation, and total subsidy cutoff—framed around "white genocide" claims. The post mainstreams far-right "white genocide" conspiracy theory from the presidential platform, grossly mischaracterizing South African land reform as systematic killing. The mid-post pivot to attacking media reveals the deeper narcissistic injury: not South Africa's policies but media refusal to validate his framing. Grandiose narcissistic state is prominent—Trump positions himself as sole arbiter of which nations are "worthy of Membership anywhere," dispensing collective punishment with escalating severity. Defense mechanisms include splitting (all-bad South Africa vs. victimized white farmers), projection, and acting out through disproportionate diplomatic retaliation. The "white genocide" framing, collective national punishment, and dehumanization of democratic institutions represent elevated danger indicators. The rhetorical structure—grievance, media attack, punishment, formal closure—follows a characteristic pattern of wrapping authoritarian action in procedural language.

Fact Checks (3)
"South Africa is 'killing white people' and committing genocide against Afrikaners"
Mostly False

Farm attacks in South Africa are real but have declined from peak levels. No credible international body has classified the situation as genocide. Land reform has proceeded through legal processes, not random seizure. The 'white genocide' framing originated in far-right movements and is rejected by mainstream human rights organizations.

"South Africa refused to hand off G20 Presidency to U.S. Embassy representative"
Unverifiable

The U.S. boycotted the G20 in South Africa. Specific details of closing ceremony protocol disputes require verification.

"The New York Times won't report on alleged Afrikaner persecution"
Mostly False

The NYT and other major outlets have covered South African farm attacks and land reform extensively, including multiple investigative pieces.
