Post from Truth Social

The Creeps at the Failing New York Times are at it again. I won the 2024 Presidential Election in a Landslide, winning all Seven Swing States, the Popular Vote, and the Electoral College by a lot. I won our Nation's Districts by 2750 to 550, a complete wipeout. I settled 8 Wars, have 48 New Stock Market Highs, our Economy is Great, and our Country is RESPECTED AGAIN all over the World, respected like never before. The last Administration had the Highest Inflation in history - I have already brought that down to normal, and prices, including groceries, are coming down. To do this requires a lot of Work and Energy, and I have never worked so hard in my life. Yet despite all of this the Radical Left Lunatics in the soon to fold New York Times did a hit piece on me that I am perhaps losing my Energy, despite facts that show the exact opposite. They know this is wrong, as is almost every thing that they write about me, including election results, ALL PURPOSELY NEGATIVE. This cheap "RAG" is truly an "ENEMY OF THE PEOPLE." The writer of the story, Katie Rogers, who is assigned to write only bad things about me, is a third rate reporter who is ugly, both inside and out. Despite all of this, I have my highest Poll Numbers, ever, and with record setting investment being made in America, they should only go up. There will be a day when I run low on Energy, it happens to everyone, but with a PERFECT PHYSICAL EXAM AND A COMPREHENSIVE COGNITIVE TEST ("That was aced") JUST RECENTLY TAKEN, it certainly is not now! GOD BLESS AMERICA & MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!!!

This post is a textbook narcissistic injury response triggered by a NYT article questioning Trump's energy and cognitive fitness—a theme that strikes at the core of his self-concept as an inexhaustible winner. The defense architecture is multilayered: devaluation of the source (NYT as "cheap RAG," "ENEMY OF THE PEOPLE"), enumeration of accomplishments as counter-evidence, personal attack on the journalist (appearance-based, gendered), and appeal to medical authority ("PERFECT PHYSICAL EXAM"). The rare concession—"There will be a day when I run low on Energy"—is psychologically notable, suggesting the criticism penetrated enough to require partial acknowledgment before grandiose reassertion. The appearance-based attack on Katie Rogers follows a documented pattern of gendered devaluation targeting female journalists. The "ENEMY OF THE PEOPLE" framing, historically associated with authoritarian regimes, combined with naming a specific journalist, creates elevated stochastic risk. Multiple factual claims are distorted or false, including "settled 8 Wars" and "Highest Inflation in history." This is a corrected repost—the earlier version contained "I one our Nation's Districts" (phonemic substitution of "one" for "won"), which was subsequently corrected, suggesting either a typo or a word-retrieval error worth tracking longitudinally. Overall intensity is high, reflecting significant psychological activation.

Dehumanizing Language Present

Fact Checks (8)
"Won all Seven Swing States"
Mostly True

Trump won AZ, GA, MI, NV, NC, PA, WI in 2024

"Won the Popular Vote"
True

Trump won the 2024 popular vote by approximately 1.5 percentage points

"Won Districts 2750 to 550"
Unverifiable

Specific district-level counts vary by source and definition; rough magnitude is plausible for county-level wins but exact figures uncertain

"Settled 8 Wars"
Mostly False

No credible accounting yields 8 wars settled by November 2025. Some diplomatic efforts were underway but characterizing them as settled wars is a gross exaggeration

"48 New Stock Market Highs"
Half True

S&P 500 hit multiple record highs in 2025 but the exact count and attribution to presidential action is dubious

"Highest Inflation in history under last administration"
Mostly False

2022 inflation (~9.1% peak CPI) was highest since 1981, not in US history

"Prices including groceries are coming down"
Half True

Inflation rate moderated but grocery prices remained elevated; disinflation is not deflation

"Perfect physical exam and comprehensive cognitive test aced recently"
Unverifiable

No independent verification of test results or methodology available

“Won Districts 2750 to 550”
vs.
“Won Districts 2,750 to 505”
Both claims assert the same specific metric (districts won) and agree on the winner's total (2,750), but differ on the loser's count: the source says 550 while this candidate says 505. These are the same type of factual claim about the same election result, and the numbers conflict. Could be a transcription error, but as stated they are directly inconsistent figures for the same statistic.
