Post from Truth Social

Looks like Senator Thom Tillis, as usual, wants to tell the Nation that he’s giving them a 68% Tax Increase, as opposed to the Biggest Tax Cut in American History! At the same time, he is unable to understand the importance of a Debt Extension, which Republicans gave to the Democrats just prior to the November 5th Election, because of its significance, and how important it was for the future of the U.S.A. Sadly, the Democrat Politicians probably won’t reciprocate on a Debt Extension because they’re nasty people who actually hate our Country. Tillis is also willing to throw the very important Tobacco Industry in North Carolina, “out the window,” for reasons nobody seems to understand. He loves China made windmills that will cost a fortune, ruin the landscape, and produce the most expensive Energy on Earth. I can’t believe that the Great People of North Carolina, a State that I love and won all three times, and a State that I just brought back with money, blood, sweat, and tears, from the recent tragic floods, when Sleepy Joe Biden let them DROWN, right up until the end of that Administration, without doing anything — I was given an A+ Rating for the job we did in bringing it back, and Tillis, despite being a Republican, was MISSING IN ACTION — North Carolina will not allow one of their Senators to GRANDSTAND in order to get some publicity for himself, for a possible, but very difficult Re-Election. America wants Reduced Taxes, including NO TAX ON TIPS, NO TAX ON OVERTIME, AND NO TAX ON SOCIAL SECURITY, Interest Deductions on Cars, Border Security, a Strong Military, and a Bill which is GREAT for our Farmers, Manufacturers and, Employment, in general. Thom Tillis is making a BIG MISTAKE for America, and the Wonderful People of North Carolina!

This late-night attack on Republican Senator Thom Tillis is a textbook example of Trump's loyalty enforcement mechanism. Triggered by Tillis's opposition to the "Big Beautiful Bill," Trump deploys total rhetorical war against an in-group defector—a pattern more intense than attacks on out-group opponents, consistent with narcissistic rage at perceived betrayal. The post's most psychologically revealing feature is its structure: a mid-sentence, ~80-word digression from the Tillis attack into self-praise about Hurricane Helene relief, complete with self-assigned "A+ Rating" and contrast with Biden who "let them DROWN." This compulsive supply-seeking—hijacking one's own argument for self-aggrandizement—demonstrates how narcissistic needs override even strategic communication goals. The splitting defense is comprehensive: Tillis is wrong on every issue (taxes, debt, tobacco, windmills, re-election); Democrats "hate our Country"; Biden was negligent; Trump was heroic. No nuance survives. Multiple factual distortions serve the narrative: the "Biggest Tax Cut in American History" (false), "68% Tax Increase" (misleading framing), wind energy as "most expensive on Earth" (false), and Biden's hurricane response as letting people "DROWN" (hyperbolic distortion). The danger level is elevated not for violence but for democratic norms: a sitting president publicly threatening a senator's re-election prospects to enforce legislative compliance represents authoritarian pressure on independent legislative function.

“Won North Carolina all three times”
vs.
“Won North Carolina 'all six times, including Primaries'”
The candidate claim states 'Won North Carolina all three times,' referring to three general election wins (2016, 2020, 2024). The source claim explicitly states 'all six times, including Primaries,' making the count of victories a central factual assertion. Claiming three wins in one post and six wins (by adding primaries) in another is a direct numerical inconsistency about the same topic. While both can describe the same underlying events from different counting conventions, the posts present mutually incompatible totals as standalone facts, which a reasonable reader would find contradictory.

Daily Digest Senate Victory Lap Punctuated by Targeted Destruction of Republican Dissenters
