Overview

This is a repost (RT) of an @IAPolls2022 Truth Social post — an Iowa-focused polling account — accompanied by the three-word commentary "Moving along!" The linked content was inaccessible to automated retrieval (Truth Social requires JavaScript), but given the account's identity and the pre-debate timing (one day before the September 10 Harris-Trump debate), the underlying content almost certainly presents favorable polling data for Trump, likely in Iowa or a battleground state.

Level 1: Dispositional Traits (Big Five)

Extremely limited data from this post in isolation. What is legible:

• Low Neuroticism expression: No anxiety, hostility, or reactivity visible. The tone is buoyant and self-assured.
• High Extraversion (assertiveness facet): Even in a three-word comment, the subject performs confident forward momentum rather than hedging.
• Low Agreeableness expression: The post is neither warm nor communal; it is transactional audience management.

No meaningful signal on Conscientiousness or Openness from this content.

Level 2: Characteristic Adaptations

Dominant motive: Agency / Power The amplification of favorable polling data is a classic power-maintenance behavior: using external validators to reinforce hierarchical standing. The subject is not seeking information; he is broadcasting confirmation.

Schema activated: Winning trajectory "Moving along!" encodes a cognitive schema of linear, inevitable progress. It is consistent with a stable grandiose self-concept that does not require detailed argument — momentum is simply asserted as self-evident.

Level 3: Narrative Identity

• Protagonist role: Frontrunner / Inevitable winner
• Narrative sequence: Implicitly redemptive — positioned as a candidate returning from the 2020 defeat to a position of electoral dominance
• Identity claim: "I am the candidate who is gaining, not stalling"
• Contrasting other: Implicit (the opponent who is not moving along)
• Contamination sequence: None present

The same-day post cluster reveals the full narrative architecture this post inhabits. Trump spent the day:

1. Attacking Kamala Harris as a "Marxist" fraud (contamination sequences about the opponent)
2. Posting a supportive marijuana policy statement (communion/voter outreach)
3. Amplifying a poll (self-aggrandizing supply)
4. Linking to an election transparency article (victim/grievance narrative)

Within that mosaic, this post occupies the "winning" node — the grandiose pole counterbalancing the paranoid/aggrieved poles visible elsewhere.

Level 4: Clinical Indicators

Malignant Narcissism Assessment

All four components score near-zero in this isolated post. No grandiose claims, no antisocial behavior, no paranoid content, no sadistic pleasure are detectable. This is routine supply-seeking.

Narcissistic Dynamics

• State: Grandiose (breezy, low-affect confidence)
• Trigger: Supply-seeking — amplifying external validation of electoral position
• Rage: Absent
• Defense: Rationalization — the polling result, whatever it shows, is pre-framed as confirmation of expected trajectory

Cognitive Status

No markers of cognitive difficulty are observable. The phrase is syntactically complete and contextually appropriate. No basis for deviation assessment from a three-word comment.

Authorship Attribution

Likely aide-written or aide-assisted.

• Local time: 13:54 UTC → 9:54 AM Eastern. Trump was in the New York/Charlotte corridor (press conference at Trump Tower; FOP meeting in Charlotte). This is solidly business hours.
• Format signals: Clean RT structure, no typos, no ALL CAPS, no stream-of-consciousness quality
• Counterevidence: "Moving along!" is idiomatically consistent with authentic Trump voice — clipped, performative, confidence-signaling
• Verdict: Business-hours timing and clean format outweigh the idiomatic similarity. Aide-facilitated post is the stronger hypothesis, though the phrase itself may have been dictated or suggested by Trump.

Rhetorical & Propaganda Techniques

1. Third-party credibility laundering: By retweeting a polling account rather than asserting poll results directly, the subject achieves the persuasive benefit of the data while distancing himself from accountability for its accuracy
2. Bandwagon / social proof: Polling data implies others are already moving toward him
3. Momentum framing: "Moving along!" converts a static data point into a dynamic, forward-moving narrative
4. Economy of rhetoric: Three words require the audience to complete the meaning themselves, a low-resistance form of engagement

Fact Verification

Overall Veracity: 50%

Danger Assessment

None. No eliminationist language, no dehumanization, no violence signaling, no mobilization cues. Routine electoral optimism.

Gaslighting / Reality Distortion

None present in this post.

Epistemic Closure

Not directly expressed. The repost implies that favorable polling is the legitimate arbiter of electoral reality, a mild form of selective evidence presentation, but not active epistemic closure.

Summary

Not clinically significant as a standalone post. This is routine campaign-cycle supply-seeking — a brief, likely aide-facilitated amplification of favorable polling data with minimal original commentary. Its psychological interest lies primarily in its position within the same-day post cluster: the grandiose "we're winning" pole of a day that also produced paranoid anti-Harris attacks and voter-outreach positioning. No danger indicators, no cognitive markers, no rage. Filed as baseline maintenance behavior for longitudinal tracking.
