Post from Truth Social

Analysis: Derek Schmidt Congressional Endorsement

This is a formulaic congressional endorsement post, one of several issued on the same day (Paul Junge, Kari Lake). The structure is nearly identical across all three: biographical credentials → policy list → "Complete and Total Endorsement" → closing rallying phrase in caps.

Authorship

Almost certainly aide-written (likely Dan Scavino or campaign staff). The post time is ~6:30 PM ET (Trump was likely at Mar-a-Lago given the Netanyahu meeting). The formatting is polished, grammatically correct, and follows the exact template of the other endorsements issued that day. The policy list is a copy-paste framework with minor customization ("Farmers and Ranchers" for Kansas).

Psychological State

This is routine maintenance/supply-seeking — building political capital through endorsements during a busy campaign period. No emotional reactivity, no narcissistic injury response. The post serves transactional purposes: loyalty exchange (endorsement for future congressional support).

Rhetorical Techniques

• Template rhetoric with Kansas-specific customization
• Capitalization of policy priorities as branding
• "Complete and Total Endorsement" — trademark phrase functioning as a seal of approval
• "NEVER LET YOU DOWN" — all-caps parasocial promise directed at voters through the candidate

Notable Pattern

The batch endorsement day (3+ endorsements in one session) suggests strategic campaign operation rather than spontaneous posting. This is electioneering infrastructure, not psychological expression.
