Post Analysis: Michigan Senate Endorsements — February 13, 2024

Authorship Attribution (Confidence: High)

Assessment: Aide-written (Scavino/comms staff). Authenticity probability: ~15%.

Trump was almost certainly at Mar-a-Lago on February 13 (post-Nevada caucuses, pre-Super Tuesday). UTC 20:56:49 converts to 3:56 PM EST — mid-afternoon business hours, the signature window for aide-drafted content. Stylometric markers are conclusive:

• Structured enumerated list with consistent Name, District ## formatting requires staff research
• No typos, misspellings, or syntactic fragmentation
• No ALL CAPS emotional spikes
• No named adversaries — absent from aide-written posts, ubiquitous in authentic ones
• "I will not let you down!" reads as a canned authenticity insert, not organic Trump voice

Compare same-day authentic posts: the NATO post ("They're making a mockery of the U.S.A.") is terse, reactive, and grammatically rough — a different register entirely.

Communications strategy note: This post likely serves as counterprogramming. The same day featured domestic fallout from Trump's NATO comments encouraging Russian aggression, the Senate border bill defeat Trump engineered, and the Tucker/Putin interview. A clean, positive, institution-signaling announcement neutralizes the news cycle.

Psychological State

Grandiose-stable, maintenance mode. No acute trigger; this is routine supply acquisition — collecting and publicly displaying institutional allegiances while projecting the image of an inevitable winner. The implicit logic: powerful elected officials keep choosing me despite my legal jeopardy, therefore I am ascending. The pledge ("I will not let you down") subtly inverts the endorsement dynamic, recasting Trump as patron-benefactor rather than the supplicant seeking support.

Narcissistic feature present: superlative elevation of allies ("Great Senators") to reinforce the hierarchy while flattering them — a characteristic pattern of instrumentalized agreeableness.

Level 3 Narrative Identity

• Protagonist role: Patron/Dealmaker. He does not beg for votes; great men pledge to him.
• Narrative sequence: Implicit redemption arc — the collection of Senate endorsements signals return, vindication, inevitability after 2020's "theft."
• Contrasting other: Absent (aide-written posts omit enemies by design).

Rhetorical Techniques

• Social proof via named testimonial array: specificity of district numbers signals deep institutional breadth rather than elite endorsements only
• Reciprocity framing: the pledge binds endorsers into a loyalty relationship they are now publicly committed to
• Event inflation: "Big Day" frames routine coalition maintenance as landmark political moment

Cognitive Assessment
