Post from Truth Social

Great Poll numbers this morning. Ron DeSanctimonious might as well turn around & head back to Florida, where they don’t see him at all lately - he is wasting his time. Ron was elected Governor not to spend all of his time campaigning for another position. It reminds me of Sloppy Chris Christie. He was Governor of New Jersey & then virtually moved to New Hampshire to campaign for President. He drew flies, quit the race, enthusiastically endorsed me, but became VERY unpopular in N.J. 9% Approval!

"A textbook grandiose dominance display consistent with Trump's established primary campaign posture. The post opens with unnamed poll validation (supply acquisition) before executing a two-target devaluation sequence. The DeSantis nickname 'DeSanctimonious' is a recurring coinage; the Christie anecdote functions as a preemptive disqualification — narrating DeSantis's implied future failure through a historical parallel. Stylistically, the Christie tangent is the most psychologically revealing element: Trump lingers on Christie's humiliation (drew flies, 9% approval) with evident relish, consistent with ego-syntonic sadism as a dominance-maintenance behavior. Key projection dynamic: Trump accuses DeSantis of neglecting governance to campaign — a charge that applies equally to his own conduct without self-awareness or acknowledgment. Authorship confidence is high; the 7:34 AM EDT timing, nickname creativity, associative structure, and trailing ellipsis are all authentic Trump markers. No cognitive deterioration markers present; episodic memory retrieval (Christie campaign details) is intact. Danger level is none — this is intra-party political rivalry rhetoric with no eliminationist language, dehumanization of protected groups, or violence signaling. Clinically, this post is representative rather than anomalous, making it useful as a grandiose-state baseline datapoint for longitudinal tracking."

Fact Checks (5)
"Ron DeSantis was neglecting Florida by campaigning full-time"
Half True

DeSantis had formally entered the 2024 presidential race on May 24, 2023 and was conducting active campaign travel, though he continued to exercise gubernatorial duties. The characterization of total neglect is hyperbolic.

"Chris Christie moved virtually to New Hampshire to campaign for president"
Mostly True

Christie's 2016 presidential campaign was heavily concentrated in New Hampshire, where he bet his entire strategy on a strong finish. He campaigned there more intensively than any other state.

"Christie drew flies (i.e., minimal support)"
Mostly True

Christie never broke out of single digits in most national polls during the 2016 primary and performed poorly in New Hampshire despite his investment there, finishing 6th.

"Christie enthusiastically endorsed Trump"
True

Christie endorsed Trump on February 26, 2016, becoming the first major Republican figure to do so. The endorsement was notable for its unexpectedness and was described by media as enthusiastic.

"Christie had 9% approval in New Jersey"
Mostly True

Christie's approval rating in New Jersey reached historically low levels near the end of his governorship (2017-2018), with some polls recording 9-15% approval. The 9% figure appears in documented polling from his final term. This is approximately accurate.

Daily Digest Indictment Siege Mentality: Legal Rage Yields to Martyrdom Reframe and Supply Flooding

Trump spent the day consumed by his federal documents indictment, swinging between furious attacks on Jack Smith and CNN over a leaked tape and grandiose declarations that the charges prove his political strength.
