Analysis: Retweet Attacking Florida/DeSantis (2023-01-30)

This is a retweet of a post from user @kagdrogo comparing Republican state policies, with Trump adding the pointed commentary: "Some Republican states got it right, Florida got it wrong!" Given the day's sustained anti-DeSantis messaging (multiple posts attacking "Ron DeSanctimonious," Club for Growth, and globalists), this RT is clearly part of a coordinated campaign day targeting DeSantis as a primary rival.

Authorship

Posted at 9:51 AM ET (assuming Mar-a-Lago). Business hours, simple RT with brief editorial comment. Could be either Trump or aide — the exclamation point and attack framing are Trumpian, but the brevity and timing suggest possible aide curation. Medium confidence toward authentic given it fits the emotional throughline of the day's posts.

Psychological Dynamics

This post is part of a preemptive attack pattern — DeSantis had not yet formally announced his candidacy but was polling as a threat. The entire day's output represents a sustained devaluation campaign. By retweeting third-party criticism, Trump maintains plausible distance while amplifying the attack — a classic indirect aggression technique.

Rhetorical Function

The phrase "got it wrong" applied to Florida is deliberately vague, allowing followers to project whatever policy grievance fits. The "Remember this?" framing invokes shared grievance memory.
