Analysis: Shared NY Post Article on LIV Golf/Masters Decision

This post is a bare URL share of a NY Post opinion piece about the Masters Tournament's decision to include LIV Golf players. No commentary is added. This is notable given the extraordinary political events surrounding Trump at this time (Jan 6 committee criminal referral, tax returns release vote), suggesting either deliberate deflection to low-stakes content or aide-managed posting.

Trump has a direct financial interest in LIV Golf — his golf courses hosted LIV events in 2022, making this a business-adjacent share rather than casual sports interest.

Context

During this period, Trump faced the Jan 6 committee's criminal referral and the vote to release his tax returns. The absence of direct engagement with these major threats, combined with sharing golf content, is psychologically noteworthy — either strategic avoidance or compartmentalization.

Authorship

Posted at 1:31 PM ET (Trump likely at Mar-a-Lago for holidays). Business hours, no commentary, clean URL share — consistent with aide posting or scheduled content.

Psychological Significance

Minimal standalone significance. The choice to share LIV Golf content amid serious legal/political threats could reflect maintenance-mode posting to project normalcy, or genuine interest in a business-adjacent topic.
