Post from Truth Social

Analysis: URL Share — Jack Smith Article

This post is a bare URL share of a Townhall.com opinion column by Rick Manning titled "Special Counsel Jack Smith's Political Prosecution History Is Dangerous." No commentary is added. This follows a series of posts on the same day attacking Jack Smith directly, including calling him "a hit man for Obama."

Context

The post fits within a sustained November 28 campaign against Special Counsel Jack Smith, who had been appointed on November 18 to investigate Trump. The URL share serves as evidence-marshaling — outsourcing the argument to a sympathetic columnist while Trump's own posts provide the emotional framing.

Authorship

Bare URL shares with no commentary are characteristic of aide-assisted posting (likely Scavino). The post at 4:06 PM ET (Trump at Mar-a-Lago) falls in business hours. The lack of editorializing, caps, or personal voice strongly suggests staff curation.

Psychological Function

This post functions as narcissistic supply infrastructure — curating external validation for the persecution narrative. By sharing others' arguments, it builds a case while maintaining deniability and appearing to let "the facts speak."

Rhetorical Function

Appeal to authority (columnist framing Smith as historically dangerous), poisoning the well against the special counsel investigation before it produces results.
