Analysis: Link Share of Favorable NY Sun Article (2022-11-19)

This post shares a New York Sun article with the headline "Trump Showing a New Temperateness, Declares for a Second Term and Turns to the Issues." No commentary is added. This is part of a pattern of link-sharing posts on this date, all curating favorable media coverage.

Context

Posted November 19, 2022 at 2:30 PM ET (Trump at Mar-a-Lago). This falls during the period immediately following his November 15 2024 campaign announcement and the same day Elon Musk reinstated his Twitter account. The Jack Smith special counsel appointment had just occurred, and Trump was actively sharing content defending his position.

Authorship

Saturday afternoon, business-hours posting. No personal commentary, just a URL. This is classic aide/Scavino behavior — curating favorable press clips. The article headline itself does the psychological work: it validates a "new temperateness" narrative that Trump's team was clearly trying to project post-announcement.

Psychological Function

The article selection is strategically significant. After the midterm disappointments and amid criticism that his announcement speech was low-energy, sharing an article emphasizing "temperateness" serves impression management. It reframes what critics called a subdued performance as deliberate statesmanship.

Pattern

This is the fifth link-share in a short period, all without personal commentary — a media curation blitz typical of aide-managed posting.
