Post from Truth Social

Analysis: Self-Retweet — "Beginning the Battle" (Nov 2, 2022)

This post is a retweet of Trump's own earlier Truth Social post from approximately a month prior (the URL references a September post). Posted at 2:13 AM ET (Trump was likely at Mar-a-Lago, making this ~1:13 AM local time), six days before the 2022 midterm elections.

Authorship

The 1:13 AM local timing strongly suggests authentic Trump. The post's brevity, emotional energy, and ALL CAPS closing are consistent with his personal posting style.

Psychological Context

This is a pre-battle rallying post on the eve of midterms. The self-retweet functions as narcissistic supply maintenance — recycling his own content as validation. "Am so looking forward to beginning the battle" uses martial framing characteristic of the Warrior archetype. The dropped subject pronoun ("Am so looking forward") is a Trumpian stylistic marker.

Rhetorical Function

Simple mobilization post. The word "battle" frames elections as combat. MAGA slogan serves as tribal identifier and call to action. Minimal analytical complexity — this is routine campaign maintenance rhetoric.

Danger Assessment

"Battle" is metaphorical in electoral context and conventional political language. No specific targets identified. Low concern.
