Post from Truth Social

Analysis: Self-Retruth with "Yes!" (2022-09-17)

This post is a retruth (repost) of one of Trump's own earlier posts, with "Yes!" appended. The URL appears malformed—"Yes!" is concatenated to the URL itself, suggesting hasty mobile composition. The referenced post (from ~Sep 12 based on the status ID) is not available in context, but the pattern of self-retruthing with brief affirmations is consistent with this period.

Authorship

At 7:52 AM ET (Trump likely at Mar-a-Lago or preparing for Ohio rally mentioned in prior post), this falls in early morning hours. The URL formatting error and brevity suggest authentic posting—an aide would likely format correctly.

Psychological State

This is part of a cluster of rapid-fire retruths with brief exclamatory additions ("So true!!!", "Thank you!", "So bad!!!","Yes!"). The pattern reflects supply-seeking behavior—recycling content to maintain audience engagement with minimal cognitive effort. The self-retruthing specifically indicates narcissistic self-reinforcement.

Clinical Significance

Minimal. This is maintenance-level posting with no substantive content for deep analysis. The pattern of excessive exclamation marks and self-amplification is baseline Trump behavior on Truth Social.

Context

This period includes the Special Master appointment (legal victory for Trump) and the Ohio rally, both of which likely elevated mood state.
