A template endorsement in a Saturday Florida batch

This is one of at least six Florida endorsements posted on 2026-10-31, three days before the November 3 general election. The others went to Jimmy Patronis, Austin Rogers, Meg Weinberger, Wilton Simpson and James Uthmeier. All of them share the same frame: "It is my Great Honor to endorse," a biographical paragraph, a family line, the list that begins "fight tirelessly to," and a "Complete and Total Endorsement" close. The Donalds post adds one module the others lack because they have no named opponent: a paragraph attacking David Jolly. Jolly won the Democratic nomination on August 18 with about 61% of the vote, and Donalds won the Republican primary with about 48% in a ten-way field. Trump had endorsed Donalds long before the primary, so this post works as a get-out-the-vote reminder for an endorsement already on record.

Who wrote it

The post went up at 19:22 UTC, which is 3:22 pm Eastern Daylight Time. Daylight saving ends the next morning, and Eastern time applies whether he was in Washington or at Mar-a-Lago for the weekend. A mid-afternoon Saturday post in a run of near-identical endorsements fits staff production. The text matches its siblings phrase for phrase: "work tirelessly / fight tirelessly," "Cut Taxes and Regulations, Promote MADE IN THE U.S.A.," "Advance American Energy DOMINANCE," "Defend our always under siege Second Amendment." The aside "a State that I love, and WON BIG, in 2016, 2020, and 2024!" reads like Trump, but the Uthmeier post the same day carries nearly the same clause ("which I won BIG in 2016, 2020, and 2024"). That makes it a stock insert written in his voice and reused across the batch.

The two oddities in the text are "Dumocrat" and "Mutilization." "Dumocrat" is his own coinage, and it now appears in drafted material, so it tells us nothing about who typed this post. "Transgender Mutilization of your Children" swaps the usual template word "Mutilation" for a word that does not exist. That could be a drafting slip or a dictated change. Either way, one nonword inside boilerplate is too little evidence for a language-production marker, and the post is not his spontaneous writing in the first place.

The splitting is built into the template

The post's psychology lives in its two-column structure. Donalds is "a TOTAL WINNER," "tested at the highest and most difficult levels," with "a great wife, Erika, and three beautiful sons," and "HE WILL NEVER LET YOU DOWN!" Jolly is "a Radical Left Dumocrat" who is "Reckless, Radical, and Dangerous!" The transition "On the other hand" marks the split out loud. Nothing about either man is mixed. Idealization of the ally and devaluation of the rival are the whole argument.

The devaluation flattens a lot. Jolly is a former Republican congressman from Pinellas County who left the party in 2018. After his primary win he publicly rejected socialism and ran on costs and insurance. The post gives him the stock four-item charge sheet ("massive Tax Increases, Open Borders, Men playing in Women's Sports, and Transgender Mutilization") that Trump endorsements attach to Democratic opponents in general. Nothing in the paragraph is specific to Jolly. In that sense it is projection by template: the opponent is defined by an all-purpose shadow figure, and his actual record never enters.

The self appears as patron. Donalds's value is measured by closeness to the speaker: "Byron will have a BIG Voice, and work closely with me to advance our America First Agenda." The governorship is framed as an extension of Trump's agenda, and the endorsee's family is presented as proof of character ("They are very proud of him!"). Among the motives, agency and status outweigh communion. The communal gestures (family, "a State that I love") are ornaments on a loyalty transaction.

Narrative and archetype

The narrative sequence is neutral. The post tells no story of injury, so nothing in it reads as a reaction to loss or slight. Trump appears as the King handing out legitimacy. The protagonist role is kingmaker, and the endorsee is offered as a loyal Warrior. The order and chaos framing restores order: the agenda list ("Keep our Border SECURE, Stop Migrant Crime, Strengthen our Military") promises to protect a home-state hierarchy against a "Dangerous" outsider. The opponent is assigned chaos, the voters are assigned security, and "Defend our always under siege Second Amendment" supplies a low-level siege grievance with no named attacker.

Rhetoric and risk

The devices are the familiar endorsement kit: superlatives ("TOTAL WINNER," "Complete and Total"), a name-calling epithet ("Dumocrat"), a false dichotomy, a glittering-generalities agenda list, fear appeals around children and borders, and a closing imperative ("GET OUT AND VOTE FOR BYRON"). The mobilization call is electoral and nonviolent. "Dangerous" is attached to a candidate's policies and asks only for a vote against him. "Transgender Mutilization of your Children" is the most inflammatory phrase, but it targets a policy category, not a person or group to be removed, so it does not reach eliminationist or stochastic patterns. Claims

The electoral boast holds up: Trump carried Florida in all three elections. "BIG" fits 2024 (about 13 points) far better than 2016 (about 1.2 points). The family details match Donalds's public biography. The Jolly policy list is the weakest claim: it is boilerplate applied to a candidate who ran as a centrist former Republican.
