Post from Truth Social

A bare livestream link posted as the Macon rally got under way

The whole post is a YouTube URL. Fetching it gives the stream title "LIVE: President Trump Holds a Rally in Macon, GA - 10/24/26." It is the second half of a pair: an earlier post the same day said "Big Rally in Georgia today! Broadcast LIVE on RSBN, all day. Enjoy!!!", and this one hands followers the stream. On either side of it sit near-identical early-voting templates for Florida, Michigan and New Jersey, each telling followers to "SWAMP the Radical Left Dumocrats." Taken together, the day's account activity looks like a campaign operation working in sequence, with this post as the step that delivers the feed.

Who pressed share

Trump was in Georgia or on his way there, so the relevant clock is Eastern. The 16:46 UTC timestamp works out to 12:46 p.m. EDT, in the middle of the working day and in the run-up to a rally. Two details point to a staffer. The ?si= tracking parameter is what YouTube's mobile share sheet appends, so someone copied the link from the app and pasted it unedited. And the post carries none of his usual framing: no caption, no superlative, no "Enjoy!!!" The companion RSBN post does sign off "President DJT," but it also reads like routine scheduling. Trump does post bare links himself, and links without comment have appeared on his account at odd hours, so the attribution stops at medium confidence. What tips it toward an aide is the timing during the rally window combined with the coordinated template posts around it.

What the link does psychologically and rhetorically

With no words to analyze, the only inference available comes from the choice of content: the post puts his own rally on followers' screens. That fits the steady self-promotion and status motive in the rest of the record, where crowds and live coverage serve as evidence of popularity. The timing adds a little more. The historian's events list includes a Washington Post-ABC-Ipsos poll from 2026-10-18 putting his approval at 33%, and the rally stream gives a competing picture of support. Treating the post as a reply to that poll would be speculation, though, because nothing in the post points to it. Read as routine maintenance, the post makes sense on its own.

The post contains no target, no enemy and no claim, so there is nothing to examine for defense mechanisms, gaslighting or eliminationist language. The rally itself may contain all of these, but this analysis covers the post and not the speech it links to. The us-versus-them framing for the day ("Radical Left Dumocrats") sits in the neighboring voting posts, not in this one.

Since the post has no text, it says nothing about language production, either for or against any change from baseline. The rally transcript would be the source for that.
