The post is the New York Post's headline pasted word for word, with the link after it: "How Trump defied the 'experts' — and pushed the UN toward post-Oct. 7 peace." Trump wrote none of it. The timestamp works out to 5:22 a.m. Eastern. Another post in the same session, about "the first landing of Air Force One at President Donald J. Trump International Airport, in Palm Beach County," puts him in Palm Beach, where he had attended the Oct. 16 RNC event.

The hour falls inside the window when he usually posts himself, and pre-dawn bursts of links are an old habit of his. The format points the other way. Headline-colon-URL is what a share button produces, and it has nothing personal in it: no capitals, no aside, no error. The other posts in the session split the same way. The Gingrich book plug sounds like him ("Unlike others who write about me, most of whom I do not know, Newt knows me well, and tells it like it is") and ends with his dictated sign-off, "President DONALD J. TRUMP." The Melania Security Council link is a March 2, 2026 article reposted seven months late. Flattering coverage of one theme, the UN, mixing old and recent pieces, looks like someone working through a saved stack. It doesn't look like a reaction to something just seen on TV. The scare quotes around "experts" belong to the Post, but choosing to share them was his decision. He often casts expert consensus as an opponent that his results show up. Here it is the rule-breaker who ignores the diplomatic playbook and turns out right, the Trickster shading into the Peacemaker-Hero. The story is a redemption arc told by someone else: doubted, then proven right. The defense is idealization at one remove. The praise comes with a newspaper's authority, and the Gingrich post in the same session says outright why that matters to him: a writer who "knows me well" and "tells it like it is." What the headline claims, against the record

The part that holds up: the Gaza ceasefire took effect in October 2025 under Trump's 20-point plan, and the living hostages were released days later.
