Photograph taken from between the columns of the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, D.C., looking east across the Reflecting Pool toward the Washington Monument, which is visible in the distance and mirrored in the still water. A crowd of people is gathered at the base of the steps near the near end of the Reflecting Pool, in front of green barricades, with some stage/production equipment (scaffolding, lighting rigs, a camera boom/crane extending out over the pool) visible, suggesting an event or gathering is set up on the Lincoln Memorial plaza. Smaller groups of people walk along the paths on either side of the pool. The sky is partly cloudy with soft blue and pale tones, suggesting early morning or evening light. No text overlays are present in the image.
