New reporting reveals the DOJ is expanding its investigation into the Russia hoax and one former Obama official at the centre of the scandal is speaking out. Hello everyone I'm Miranda Devine along with Raymond Arroyo, David Webb and Molly Line and this is the big weekend show. James Comey and John Brennan are under the microscope again. According to multiple reports the DOJ is investigating senior FBI officials who may have covered up wrongdoing by the two former Obama officials. Prosecutors are reportedly determining whether documents from Brennan and Comey were secretly hidden or destroyed that would have undermined their narrative on Trump and Russia. Brennan blasted the investigation earlier today. That seems to be the intention which is to damage individuals. You can damage them reputationally, you can damage them financially, professionally and so on and so by putting out these investigations who are making these referrals or whatever it does a lot of damage already even if it then never goes to trial or it doesn't go to a conviction or whatever and that's the intent and unfortunately Donald Trump who you know president United States has tremendous authority and and ability to use the instruments of government. This week I spoke with Senate Judiciary Chairman Chuck Graslie on Podforce One and he revealed a shocking conversation that he had in 2017. I remember a conversation I had with a friend of mine who had talked to a Democratic senator. He said that Trump will not be around past September of 2017. Do you think there will be accountability in the end? Do you think that anyone will go to jail? John Brennan and Jim Comey? Too early to tell but I'll tell you what they did to keep Trump from being getting elected president and then particularly after he was elected they accomplished that through that Russia, Russia, Russia stuff. Joining us now is House Intelligence Committee Chairman Rick Crawford. Congressman Crawford you were on the House Intel Committee when lawmakers just compiled a report on that Russian hoax that DNI Gabbard has since declassified. I want to ask you the same question that I just asked Senator Graslie and that is do you think there will be accountability for people like John Brennan and James Comey? Well we're certainly hoping for that I mean that was the reason why we actually released the report and DNI Gabbard declassified it so everybody could get a look at just exactly what happened what what under President Obama's direction and and with you know a complicit director Comey and CIA director Brennan and others what they were able to do I mean they they hobbled President Trump in his first term and went on and really impaired his ability to secure a second term in 2020 and it's it's really high time that someone was held to account. Congressman if I could just add it's Raymond Arroyo as you look at this anew my question is what's changed since John Durham did an investigation and prosecuted this case. Durham looked at this extensively he was the special prosecutor they named he explored it there were two prosecutions I believe both ended in acquittals what's different now what do you know now that Durham didn't know? I think it's classified annex is the difference maker and the fact that it has been reviewed and declassified so that now we get a look at it these are things that we knew on the Intel Committee but really couldn't talk about obviously because it was classified and so anyway can you know in our world we can our job is to oversee the intelligence community and we can do investigations but we can't prosecute we can make criminal referrals where it's necessary but you recall the Durham investigation took a long long time but it was limited to you know just the unclassified stuff so when the classified annex was declassified using the appropriate procedure to do so. Tell people what that is Congressman. They don't know the viewers of information. The viewers don't know what a classified annex is tell them what that that secure room was and how it was discovered. Sure so the so the classified annex basically had all that information that he couldn't go public with that was you know classified so it was prepared in an annex to the report that is the you know appended to the report that essentially it was never released to the public so most everybody didn't realize the extent of that investigation so if all you did was look at the unclassified material what they deemed was appropriate to share you would probably come to the same conclusion but when you look at the classified material that was since been released you have a completely different picture a more fulsome picture exactly what happened.

I'm here with more Fox News legal analyst Greg Jarrett. My writers are page 53 because I went through your book tonight. Yeah. Yeah. It is. You know, Sean... And how long ago did you write that? How many years ago? How many years ago? Six years ago. Six years ago, yeah. You know, you saw Jake Tapper there. What is so tragic really in journalism is that those who got it wrong, the New York Times, the Washington Post, they won Pulitzer Prizes. Those of us who got it right were treated with scorn. But look, these declassified FBI documents showing that Nellie Orr gave false testimony, it actually, you're right, page 53 matches word for word what I wrote six years ago in the book Witch Hunt. She detailed all of her false statements. She, for example, denied sharing her dossier research with anybody at the DOJ. But guess what? 339 pages of email show. She sent it to at least three prosecutors there. Those same emails prove that she knew of the DOJ's parallel investigation of Trump, even though she testified otherwise. So the fact that these new FBI documents were hidden for so long until now, and that Orr was never prosecuted for lying to Congress, I think that underscores, Sean, how corrupt the Russia hoax was. She helped research phony dossiers on Trump. Then she meets secretly with Christopher Steele at the Mayflower Hotel, 9 a.m., July 30, 2016, and the very next day, Crossfire Hurricane is launched against Trump by James Comey's FBI. No legal basis, no credible evidence. It was crooked, top to bottom. And Comey knew that collusion was a complete fiction from the outset, but he hated Trump so much he was willing to abuse the law to take the president down. And what is also tragic is that the people we entrust to enforce the law, they became the lawbreakers, none of them were ever charged or held accountable, Sean. And Comey was warned in August of 2016 not to use that dossier, that it's not verified and it's political in nature, and he used it for nine months. He himself signed three of the four FISA warrants. But knowing what he knows now, years later, before Lindsey Graham said, "Oh, I wouldn't have done it." Oh, never mind, Mr. Higher Honor. Moving on, turning to the ongoing trial of Sean Diddy Combs in New York City, a former personal assistant to Combs gave very graphic testimony today in court, claiming that he raped her, threw things at her, supplied her with drugs in the latest in a series of bizarre, very dark revelations in this trial, including testimony from artist Kate Cuddy that Diddy firebombed his Porsche and unwrapped his family's Christmas presents. And while the testimony is disturbing, there are growing questions over whether any of the evidence presented so far proves the racketeering and sex trafficking charges that this trial is actually about. And Greg, it is getting very salacious on a daily basis, are they making the case up for the charges that they brought here? That's the question. Yeah, I do think prosecutors are making a fairly compelling case of sex trafficking by force and coercion with Combs' ex-girlfriend as the victim turns star witness. But importantly, it's corroborated by many others who've testified today. As you point out, his assistant began weeping on the witness stand, testifying about how Combs raped her and repeatedly sexually assaulted her. I can't even get into details, it's too ugly and salacious. But you know, testimony is also included, arson, kidnapping, bribery, obstruction, blackmail, all of that is in support of racketeering conspiracy. So on the flip side, you always have to look at that. The defense admits their client may be sick and twisted, but they claim that Cassie Ventura was a willing participant in his so-called freak offs. I got to tell you, that's hard to believe when you see, and the jury has seen, despicable video played in court of Combs beating and kicking and dragging her. And that kind of brutality demolishes the idea of consensus. The question becomes, is the monster a criminal under law? That's up to the jury. Let's see how many celebrities and sports figures may be mentioned. We were told during jury selection that they were all given a list of names of famous people. Let's see if those names come out.
