I saw you for like a millisecond, got a chance to hug you as you're coming out of the audience there. But let's talk about this for the moment because this really was part of their branding campaign. Kamala Harris, the change agent, and in the New York Times-Siena poll, she does best Donald Trump as being the change candidate somehow among likely women, like likely voters, by two points. What's going on there? Well, I don't believe that poll at all. And by the way, don't take my word for it, take Joe Biden's word for it, because he's the one who told us the other day, Laura, that Kamala Harris has been there side by side with him, making all the decisions, of course, that we've seen in that White House. No one believes that there will be any sort of change with Kamala Harris. The people of this country are begging for Donald Trump to go back in that White House. You were in Butler the other day. You saw the crowd in Butler. That was the biggest crowd I've ever seen at a Trump rally. I couldn't even see the end of it when I was standing up there on stage. Everywhere I go, people are desperate, and they can't afford a Kamala Harris presidency. Look, we're talking about this person trying to get through an interview, let alone do the actual job of being president of the United States, our commander in chief, the leader of the free world. No one buys that Kamala Harris has the capability to do that job. And polls like that, I think, are absolutely ridiculous. I get slipped beverage napkins every time I get on an airplane saying, "We can't wait to vote for Trump. Go Trump, Trump 2024," or people just coming up to me these days, Laura, everywhere I go, saying how excited they are to get out and vote, and vote early when you go vote for Donald Trump. Now, I want to turn to ... We obviously are seeing a horrific hurricane bearing down on Florida now, but we still have North Carolina and the other states affected by Hurricane Helene. Washington Examiner is saying, Laura, that there are 1.2 million registered voters across the 25 disaster counties in western North Carolina as of Sunday. Now, of that total figure, about 491,000 voters were unaffiliated with a party and made up the largest share of the region's voters. Republicans comprise the second highest share of the voters at almost 481,000 and then 294,000 for Democrats. Trump won North Carolina in 2020 by a mere 75,000 votes. Is this a problem, given the fact that we have a lot of voters who are without homes and frankly without resources today in North Carolina? Yeah, well, listen, obviously priority number one is making sure that everyone is safe with any rescue that needs to happen, happens, and that we're thinking about the well-being of people before politics. That said, I get this question quite a bit, you can imagine. This is my home state, North Carolina, and as the co-chair of the RNC, we've thought extensively about this. That's why today we sent out a memorandum to Governor Roy Cooper and the North Carolina General Assembly, asking them, giving them 10 different points in terms of things that we hope they enact and put in place right now to ensure voter access. Because we don't want people who have gone through a horrific tragedy like a hurricane and really lost so much already to lose their ability to vote in this election. So some of these things include allowing folks who have been displaced from their voting county to vote in other counties, or maybe turn an absentee ballot in in other counties, or allowing some of these counties where they've had destruction to use temporary locations or a new location for voters to access. And by the way, I want to let everyone know out there, if you want to be part of a team to help us get access to people in Western North Carolina and likely coming up in Florida who have been displaced, their ability to vote, come join us, donaldjtrump.com/hurricane is a new site we have up right now, Laura. People can volunteer to help us and make sure that these people indeed have an opportunity to vote. They're absolutely vital in an election like this. We cannot leave a single vote on the line, and that's why we're asking everybody to come join our team. The Biden-Harris administration is gaslighting you, the American people, when it comes to the security of our southern border, and the amount of illegal aliens entering the United States. They're mass importing as many aliens as possible, but they're illegally using methods to prevent the American people from knowing just how many aliens are actually entering the country. President Biden borders our Vice President Harris and Secretary of Homeland Security Mayorkas have used a phone app called CBP-1 to help illegal aliens get fast pass entry into the United States. Long-standing federal law requires aliens to have a visa before traveling to the United States. They have to take a number of steps before they can come, including filling out a detailed application, completing an interview with a consular officer, getting a medical exam, proving they can support themselves, and other critical vetting steps. But the CBP-1 app gets rid of all of that. No visa, no problem. Instead, illegal aliens from across the globe are encouraged to download an app and head near a port of entry, schedule an appointment, and then go to the port of entry even though they don't have visas, and the law forbids their entry into the United States. No visa, no problem. The aliens don't even have to try to cross the border illegally. The Biden-Harris administration lets them in the front door. Essentially, the Biden-Harris administration created its own immigration system, a fast pass for illegals, on a phone app. Even though there is no law that permits it, the CBP-1 app lets aliens enter basic information about themselves and submit a picture. It's like a dating app for immigration, except DHS almost always swipes right. DHS consistently approves over 95% of applicants through the CBP-1 app each month. Since January 2023, 680,500 aliens have been processed through the app. 31,800 aliens were processed in June 2024 alone, and those who enter using the CBP-1 app are not counted in the U.S. Border Patrol encounter statistics. For the Biden-Harris administration, no visa, no problem.

Today, though, CNN announced it had finalized the rules for your first presidential debate now less than two weeks away with both your campaign and the Biden campaign. Look, we know you go into this debate with a whole host of things to go after President Biden on, whether it's illegal immigration, you talk about an economy that's not working for many Americans, and the wars in Ukraine and Israel, which you say would not have happened under your leadership. I know you're ready for this. President Biden will go after you on the topics of January 6 and your criminal conviction in New York. How do you plan on responding to those attacks? Well, first of all, this conviction was a Democrat hoax started by him as election interference and really attacking a political opponent, never been seen before in this country. It's done by third world countries, by banana republics, never been done by this country. And it's a disgrace. And he's a disgrace. And with his record and his family's record, he's a disgrace to have done it. And the gloves have come off because of it. And frankly, it allows you to speak more freely. Look, he's the worst president in the history of our country. He makes Jimmy Carter look brilliant, frankly, the Carter administration. And he is just a disaster. Now we have Russian ships and submarines right off the coast of Miami and Cuba just a few minutes away. Blacks were working at levels never seen before. Now their wages are way down. And what's happening is the illegals coming in, they're taking their jobs. The black population and Hispanic population is more affected by the Latinos coming into our country than anybody. And I'll add somebody else or some other group unions. Unions are being hurt terribly. When you have 15, 16 million people coming into the country, the unions are being decimated. And they don't like talking about it. But that's what's happening. They're being decimated by the Biden policies, but also by millions of people pouring into the country. You've received more black support than any president chill candidate in modern history. You mentioned one name Tim Scott, one of several names that you've mentioned or have been mentioned for vice president. I know you said that you won't announce that pick until the convention next month. But when it comes to choosing a vice president, sir, how important is executive experience, whether it's in business like yourself or in government? Well, I think it's very important. It's something that comes natural to some and it comes very unnaturally to others. But executive experience is important. But president is sort of covers all aspects. It's politics. It's executive. It's executive and knowing what to do and knowing the feel of a nation and the touch and all these different qualities. You need everything. And Tim is a very good man and we have a lot of good people that we're looking at and we'll be announcing probably during the convention. But the most important thing and I've said this quite a bit and I guess a lot of people would say it is if something should happen, something bad, I guess, would it would have to be. But if something should happen, we have to have somebody that can step right in and do a great job as president. That's the most. Secondly, if they can help get you elected, that's good. But typically that never happens. It's up to the president or the one running for president. If you look back in history, you'll see virtually no vice president that made that much of a difference in terms of the election. The most important thing you can do is get somebody that will be a great president just in case it should be needed. You mentioned unity, huge theme for you this week. There was a fist bump, I believe, with Senator McConnell down in Washington. You also supported Larry Hogan for his Senate campaign in Maryland. This is a man who hasn't supported you in the past. You're supporting him, however. What is it about getting Larry Hogan elected and how do you feel about him not giving you the same endorsement? Well, I don't know. I heard it was somebody from his staff and it wasn't him that did that or said the negative thing. And, you know, he's obviously of a little bit different persuasion than me. But I think having Larry Hogan as opposed to a Democrat would be a good thing. And we'll see where it goes. And let's see what he says. I have not heard from him. I've heard from somebody in his staff, maybe that staff person, you know, somebody in my staff said something very bad about Larry. And I thought maybe we should try and get along. But we'll see what Larry has to say. I have not spoken to him at all. And if he has a good chance of winning, that's very important. We're clearing up misconceptions today. One, I do want to give you a chance to talk about Milwaukee, a lot of rumors this week, half-truths. What did he say? What didn't he say? When it comes to Milwaukee, home to the GOP convention next month, what are your thoughts in the all-important swing state? Well, I put out a truth just now because I heard the Democrats lie. That's all they can do. Bad policies, open borders, bad military, the whole thing, everything they do is bad. All electric cars, they want to have everyone driving an electric car, all made in China. Don't go far enough, as you know, they don't go far. And they cost a lot of money. The whole thing is ridiculous. Now they're talking about your washing machines. They want to give them no water, dishwashing machines. Every day they have something new. They have no policy, but all they do is lie. They make up stories. That's a totally made up story. I picked Milwaukee. I had a lot of choices, a lot of places wanted it, obviously, with the money that it brings and the economics and the economic development, even, that it brings. I had a lot of choices. I picked Milwaukee. Never said anything bad about Milwaukee, other than something I say about a lot of cities, especially Democrat-run cities, is that we want to keep the vote honest. And I hope that Milwaukee is going to keep the vote honest. And if they do, I'm going to really love it. But I was the one that picked Milwaukee, and it's just another lie. They lied about soldiers, they lied about just about everything, because when you have a candidate like Biden that doesn't know he's around, that doesn't know, is he still living? I mean, I saw the mess in Europe, that mess. I've never seen anything like it where he doesn't even know where the hell he is. They have to lie because, frankly, if they don't, they have no chance of getting elected. And it's a shame, frankly, when I hear a story like that, Milwaukee bothered me because when you're the one that picked it, and we have great spirit going into Milwaukee, and the people of Wisconsin, as you know, were leading in the polls. So what do they do? They lie, and they make up a story that I said something bad about Milwaukee. And I just ask you this, who would do that? Who would say something bad about a place that you want to win? You want to win over? The only thing I say is I want to keep this election nice and honest. He's almost as much underwater as he's ever been. 78% of voters view the economy negatively and 67% say the worst isn't over yet. His handling of inflation in particular remains low. President Biden's rating on handling inflation at higher prices is underwater by 40 points. A lot of people think that prices would continue to go up under his policies. We should see a 10 point advantage for Republicans on the issue of the economy.

You take a look at when I use Barack Hussein Obama and I interject him into where it's supposed to be Biden, and I do it purposely for comedic reasons and for sarcasm, because a lot of people say that Obama is running the country, not Biden because he's sleeping all the time. They say, "Oh, I don't know the name of the president," or when I imitate this guy getting off a stage what they do is they say, "Oh, he had trouble getting off a stage. I have no trouble getting off a stage." Anybody that watches what I do at rallies would say, "Wow, that's amazing." He can go two hours without a teleprompter, not making even a little mistake. Very few people, maybe almost nobody can do what I do. So here's the story. The disinformation of the Democrats is unbelievable. They do it because they have a horrible candidate. Don't associate me with the mental midget that you portray, because I want to tell you, he should not be leading this country. And hopefully, on November 5th, he's not going to be.
