I am pleased to nominate Megan Benton to serve as Judge on the United States District Court for the Western District of Missouri. Megan earned her J.D. from the highly respected Vanderbilt University Law School, worked as a prosecutor in the Platte County Prosecuting Attorney's Office, and is currently delivering strong results for the Rule of Law as a Trial Court Judge in Platte County. The Great State of Missouri deserves a fighter like Megan who will always protect our Constitution, and ensure Liberty and Justice FOR ALL. Congratulations Megan!

I am honored to nominate Brian Lea to serve as Judge on the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Tennessee! Brian has tremendous experience, currently serving as a Deputy Associate Attorney General for the Department of Justice and, previously, as Law Clerk to Justice Clarence Thomas and Judge Ed Carnes. Brian received his J.D. from the University of Georgia School of Law, and B.A. from Union University (where he was a terrific baseball player!). In his new role, Brian will boldly defend our Constitution, and prioritize LAW AND ORDER in Tennessee — HE WILL NOT LET YOU DOWN. Congratulations Brian!

I am pleased to nominate Edmund LaCour as Judge for the Northern District of Alabama. As the Solicitor General, Edmund has done a terrific job representing the Great State of Alabama, especially in cases before the United States Supreme Court. Edmund earned his Law Degree from Yale University, and was a Law Clerk to Judge William Pryor. He is highly intelligent, talented, and will strongly protect the Constitution. Congratulations Edmund!

It is my Great Honor to nominate William W. Mercer to serve as Judge on the United States District Court for the District of Montana! Bill has TREMENDOUS experience, previously serving at the Department of Justice and, as United States Attorney for the District of Montana. He is STRONG and SMART, will fearlessly uphold the Rule of Law, and defend our Constitution on the Federal Bench. Congratulations Bill!

It is my Great Honor to nominate Joshua D. Dunlap, of the Great State of Maine, to serve as a Judge on the United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit. Joshua is a seasoned litigator, with a TON of excellent experience, appearing before the First Circuit, and all levels of the Federal and State Judiciary. He is a Partner at Pierce Atwood LLP in Portland, Maine, and earned his J.D. from Notre Dame. We need more TOUGH and SMART Judges on the Federal Bench, who fearlessly defend our Constitution, and Joshua will do just do that. Congratulations Joshua!
