David L. Bernhardt was a tough and capable cabinet leader as my Secretary of the Interior. He was a "bulldog" when advancing many of my great achievements at Interior and putting America on the road to energy dominance and deregulation. He never backed down, and he pushed very hard to get big results at a historic pace….
....His primary strength was not military, but rather personal public relations. I gave him a new life, things to do, and battles to win, but he seldom “brought home the bacon”. I didn’t like his “leadership” style or much else about him, and many others agree. Glad he is gone!

My political representatives didn’t want me to get involved in the Mark Sanford primary thinking that Sanford would easily win - but with a few hours left I felt that Katie was such a good candidate, and Sanford was so bad, I had to give it a shot. Congrats to Katie Arrington!
