I am pleased to announce the nomination of Jason Manion to the United States Sentencing Commission. Jason is General Counsel and Senior Advisor to the White House Task Force to Eliminate Fraud. He previously served as Counselor to the Attorney General, and was an Assistant U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of Ohio. Jason was also Deputy Solicitor General of Ohio, and clerked for two esteemed Sixth Circuit Judges, Judge Eric Murphy and Judge Alice Batchelder. A Graduate of Harvard Law School, and Thomas Edison State University, Jason will be a voice for Public Safety and Law and Order on the Sentencing Commission. Congratulations Jason! I am pleased to announce the nomination of Judge John Cronan to the United States Sentencing Commission. Judge Cronan is a Highly Respected Judge on the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York. Before joining the Bench, Judge Cronan was a Senior Official in the Department of Justice, and a longtime prosecutor in the SDNY, where he was Chief of the Terrorism and International Narcotics Unit. Judge Cronan graduated from Yale Law School and Georgetown University before clerking on both the SDNY and Second Circuit. I am pleased to announce that I am nominating Kevin Warsh to be the CHAIRMAN OF THE BOARD OF GOVERNORS OF THE FEDERAL RESERVE SYSTEM. Kevin currently serves as the Shepard Family Distinguished Visiting Fellow in Economics at the Hoover Institution, and Lecturer at the Stanford Graduate School of Business. He is a Partner of Stanley Druckenmiller at Duquesne Family Office LLC. Kevin received his A.B. from Stanford University, and J.D. from Harvard Law School. He has conducted extensive research in the field of Economics and Finance. Kevin issued an Independent Report to the Bank of England proposing reforms in the conduct of Monetary Policy in the United Kingdom. Parliament adopted the Report's recommendations. Kevin Warsh became the youngest Fed Governor, ever, at 35, and served as a Member of the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System from 2006 until 2011, as the Federal Reserve's Representative to the Group of Twenty (G-20), and as the Board's Emissary to the Emerging and Advanced Economies in Asia. In addition, he was Administrative Governor, managing and overseeing the Board's operations, personnel, and financial performance. Prior to his appointment to the Board, from 2002 until 2006, Kevin served as Special Assistant to the President for Economic Policy, and Executive Secretary of the White House National Economic Council. Previously, Kevin was a member of the Mergers & Acquisitions Department at Morgan Stanley & Co., in New York, serving as Vice President and Executive Director. I have known Kevin for a long period of time, and have no doubt that he will go down as one of the GREAT Fed Chairmen, maybe the best. Sean Duffy has done an incredible job as Interim Administrator of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA). I am pleased to announce that Ambassador Michael George DeSombre will be nominated as the next United States Assistant Secretary of State for East Asia and the Pacific. During my First Term, Michael served as my Ambassador to the Kingdom of Thailand, and did a great job! Michael is a Partner at Sullivan Cromwell, where he heads up the Asia Mergers and Acquisitions, as well as the Korea and Southeast Asia practices. He is a graduate, magna cum laude, of Harvard Law School, and has a Bachelor’s (Quantitative Economics) and Master’s degree (East Asian Studies) from Stanford University, where he did his thesis on Chinese nuclear weapon strategy. I know Michael will work incredibly hard for our Country. Congratulations Michael!

I am pleased to nominate Michael J. Rigas to be Deputy Secretary of State for Management and Resources. Michael will bring accountability to the State Department as he did Government wide, when he served in my First Term as the Deputy and Acting Director of the Office of Personnel Management, and the Acting Deputy Director for Management at the Office of Management and Budget. He holds a Masters in Public Administration from Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government, and a Bachelors and Masters Degree in Economics from Boston University, focusing on international trade and finance. Mike is a conservative warrior who knows how Government works, and will help Make America Great Again!

…He served as the Chief Patrol Agent for El Centro Sector and the San Diego Sector, before being selected as the Chief of the U.S. Border Patrol. As the Chief, he led over 22,000 personnel, and was responsible for securing the International Borders of the U.S. between the official ports of entry. After retiring, Rodney has continued to educate politicians and the public about the importance of meaningful Border Security.
