Those key issues we'll talk about include the economy, abortion, immigration, healthcare, daycare, childcare and more. Members of the audience will put their questions to former President Trump and current Republican White House nominee. - Let me ask about the economy. I know that they said from the beginning that Biden's inflation, which they inherited 1.4%, it's up over 20%. 25% of Americans say that they've had to forego meals. 60 plus percent of Americans said that they're gulping water because of Joe Biden's economic policies and Biden inflation. How do you fix that? And how quickly do you think you can fix that? - Well, we have to fix it fast. And what they're doing is the illegal migrants that are pouring into our countries, many of them are staying in luxury hotels all over our country. They're being shipped up. You know, as we say now, every state is a border state, whether it's Idaho or Iowa or Ohio. It doesn't make any difference. They're all border because they're pouring through our country. One of the stats that was incredible, I actually saw it on you first, was when it came out that we're actually flying them in. So it's not just a question of these people coming through totally unchecked and unvetted. They're flying tens of thousands of people into our country, migrants. And many of these people were not people that were welcome to stay in their countries. They're coming up here. And when I originally said, I said, they are not sending their finest. These are people that are coming from other countries, Sean, where the president, whoever is running the country, including the dictators, they're sending them into our country. And if you look at Venezuela, their crime is down 72%. Their crime, think of it, down 72 and ours is up. And we're gonna have a new form of crime because these people are just getting comfortable. They're just getting settled in. We're gonna have a new form of crime and it's called Biden migrant crime. And that's a new category. And it's a very serious category. And it might blow all of our crime out the window because frankly, you could probably double. What I told you, those numbers in Chicago were 17 people dying this weekend. Think of it, over a weekend, over a three-day period, four-day period, you had over 100 people shot and 17 people dead. And that probably doesn't include the migrants, although I guarantee you there was some of that in there too. We have a new form, it's this new category and it's gonna be very, very serious for a long time to come. And we have to get them out of our country. We don't want them out. They drop them out of their jails and prisons. We don't want them in our country. It's not sustainable by any country. - You know, it's amazing. When you came down that escalator in 2015 and you said some are very good people, they want a better life and then there are gonna be bad people and there'll be murder and rape. It's unfolding, you know, look at Lake and Riley on down and young girls being raped in broad daylight. This young girl in Texas that was killed, the mother of five. Let me ask you one last question if I may. And I know this was last minute. Thanks for calling in tonight. And I wanna ask you about your VP choice. How soon do you think you'll be making that choice, number one? Number two, we keep reading that there is a short list and on the short list, we hear names like Senator Rubio, Senator Tim Scott, Senator JD Vance, Governor Burgum. Is that, are those reports accurate? Are there other people maybe people aren't paying attention to and when do you think you'll announce that? - Well, you know, we started off with a lot of people who have a lot of good people, as they call it. We have a great bench in the Republican party. The names that you mentioned, absolutely they're under consideration. And I haven't made final decision, but I have some ideas as to where we're going. And a little bit, you know, we wanted to see what they're doing, to be honest, because, you know, it might make a difference. I don't know, I'm not sure that it would, but there are those that say Trump's waiting until he finds out what's gonna happen with crooked Joe Biden. And we'll see what happens with Biden. But, you know, I think probably within the next week, week and a half, probably sometime, I'd love to do it during the convention. My people say that's a little complicated. You know, in the old days, they would announce the vice president during the convention. Today, with modern day technology, you can't do things that you could have done 50 years ago very easily. But probably a little before the convention, but not much. It could even be during the convention that would do it. I'd love to do it during the convention. I think it would be a very interesting buildup and important for the convention. It would make it even more exciting. It's gonna be amazing in Milwaukee. - If you announced it right now on this show, I think it would make a lot of news. I'm just saying. - Well, if I did it, I'd love to do it with you. But we'll be announcing soon. - Thank you. - And I think everybody's gonna be very happy. The choice will be very, very good. It's gonna be a great vice president, meaning a person that can do a fantastic job as president, because you always have to think of that first. And then second, somebody that helps you get elected. welcome back America it's great to have our friend Senator Tom Cotton with us you know Senator Cotton your background is quite unique as far as politicians go you come out of a little state of Arkansas you served as a combat officer in Iraq and Afghanistan and you went to Harvard Law School and that's a very unique I think a very important background and you're what I would consider if not the number one one of the top foreign policy experts in the United States Senate if not the country and so I wanted to ask you some what I think are very very important questions about some very very important issues which are getting sloughed off by most of the media we have a wide open border people been warning about terrorists coming here and committing acts of terrorism senator and now we have a report that eight Isis operatives were captured in the United States that the FBI had done a surveillance operation on them eight of them in three cities LA Philadelphia and New York and this is great that they caught them but we have over 12 million people who've come into this country that we haven't properly vetted all over the country is the concern is this is potentially the tip of the iceberg and we're not going to always catch them mark there's no question that these eight potential terrorists are just the tip of the iceberg as you say more than 12 million illegal aliens have entered our country in less than four years under Joe Biden the FBI has been warning for months now about the threat of terrorism coming from our open border many of these potential terrorists are coming from Central Asia countries like Tajikistan or Uzbekistan that have deep terrorist groups and movements in them that their governments are battling against this is the origin of the terrorist attacks in Moscow a few weeks ago as well I'm glad that they caught these eight potential terrorists but again as you say it's just the tip of the iceberg we know that many more have crossed our border we know that many across the border without knowledge of the FBI or the border patrol and then perhaps most crazy of all as we've admitted all these illegal aliens over the last three plus years and many of them are now applying for asylum inside the country a protected legal status the Biden administration is still not doing thorough betting on them so we haven't only admitted them but we may give them protected legal status under our asylum laws without even checking if they have terrorist connections in their past or if they've been engaging in terrorist activities while they're in the United States it is a grave danger to the lives of Americans not over not overseas but here at home and you know senator we have these incidents that are popping up where illegal aliens are breaching military installations or they're they're monitoring them or one tried to drive into Quantico with a vehicle and so forth and so on this is going on all over the country here we have MS-13 has a strong foothold in this country now the most brutal murderous Venezuelan gang is now in the United States they have a foothold in the country the drug cartels are making billions of dollars inside the United States forced labor sex slavery fentanyl if you wanted to destroy the United States of American you're president the United States let's say wouldn't you do all the things that Joe Biden is doing to the country right now yeah Mark as president Trump always likes to say if you don't have a border you don't have a country because if you don't have a border if you open our border like Joe Biden did like he promised to do in the campaign and then acted on in office you invite all of this evil into our country cartels sex trafficking and human trafficking into the country running fentanyl into our streets terrorists from all around the world coming to our border to kill Americans it's all a direct result of Joe Biden's ideological open borders position in contrast to where president Trump had matters with a secure border protecting Americans and defending American sovereignty that's one of the many reasons why the American people think it's time for a change of direction as do I the senator cotton Joe Biden keeps using as a fig leaf this phony bipartisan bill where I think three Republican senators negotiated it in secret and the rest of you didn't know anything about it was dropped in your laps the house never supported it but he likes to call it bipartisan legislation that would have fixed this thing I read that legislation didn't fix a damn thing in fact the extra funding most of which went for administrative activities didn't even kick in until 2028 and they had a threshold number that was multiple thousands higher than it what is tolerable in terms of illegal immigration so he keeps using this this is the fig leaf he's going to use and if in fact we are attacked I can see he's gonna blame Republicans he's gonna blame president Trump how do you respond to that yeah Mark it's playing that Joe Biden didn't need legislation to act to secure our border because president Trump didn't need legislation to secure our border we had a secure safe border under president Trump Joe Biden is the one that promised in the campaign to open our border and what did he think would happen millions of people all around the world heard those promises they came to Mexico oftentimes conspiring with drug cartels to get across the border into our country not just to get jobs or unite with families but to bring in drugs and crime then Joe Biden had an executive order in which he purported to shut down the border but as you say he still allowed 75,000 illegal aliens to enter our country every month under that order with all kinds of loopholes as well I would say it's like closing the barn door after the horses left but it doesn't even close the barn door mark
