all right Raymond we've been covering all aspects of the debate tonight but there's something that you think we're all missing look Laura I watched with everyone else and I've been listening to a lot of the commentary last night I said this debate is not for confirmed Republicans or Democrats it's about moving that sliver of undecided voters those independents especially women look how they reacted to the debate they get answers to fundamental questions that we need to know as voters her economic plans what is an opportunity economy what does that mean when facts come to facts my life was better when Trump was in office the economy was higher inflation was lower things were better overall and now with Kamala's administration things haven't been so fantastic and she's saying she can fix the problems that her administration has caused but I just don't know if I can afford to take that risk race baiting and fear-mongering was a big part of her tactic tonight I think he was gaslit during the entire debate and that was probably why he was so defensive and even when he brought up the topic of race he brought that up because she's pandering yeah look these voters saw something that I think we perhaps didn't Kamala Harris was like an Oprah Winfrey quote book I mean it was just she was just spewing these bromides it didn't resonate the lack of specificity may have hurt her with these voters by the way there's been a 14 point swing in that Marist poll among independents toward Donald Trump yeah I think when the thing times are good it might work to kind of be very general and I'm gonna bring people together and that's fine but in full candor I have to tell you there were moments where I thought the president missed chances to clarify his record he took the bait thrown by Harrison the moderators at times I thought he came on too strong even blustery but we have to have the humility to recognize sometimes we're not processing this the way independent voters are Fox monitored independent voters in real time this yellow line you're gonna see on your screen those are the independents watch their reaction she was big on to fund the police in Minnesota she went out wait a minute I'm talking now if you don't mind please does that sound familiar she went out she went out in Minnesota and wanted to let criminals that killed people that burned down Minneapolis she went out and raised money to get him out of jail millions of people pouring into our country from prisons and jails from mental institutions and insane asylums and they're coming in and they're taking jobs that are occupied right now by African Americans and Hispanics okay look at that look at the alliance start to move that remember how they went after Donald Trump for saying this that these newly arrived immigrants are taking jobs from Americans well he may be channeling the rage and upsetment that those independents feel toward the government and the media we'll see what happens they want a fighter and not a foreigner I like that little chart all right Taylor Swift build herself as a childless cat lady are we still talking about that that's still what we're and she crashed in at the end of the debate with an Instagram post endorsing Kamala Harris Laura you'll never convince me that this wasn't coordinated okay but either to save or amplify Harris post debate but over on MSNBC the Swift enforcement was treated like a new peace deal had been announced at Yalta watch this is I think the most important celebrity endorsement we've ever seen in the presidential campaign the timing on it is absolutely exquisite the wording of it is flawless and perfect right down to the cat lady stuff it is for someone who's never been impressed by a celebrity endorsement this is perfect and powerful the most important celebrity endorsement ever really I got some others for you how about that one how about this one Oh Sinatra oh yeah okay hello wait a second wait a second is he thinking does he think he's back with the West Wing like there were his the lines that are it's not working Oh Donald's gone so swiftly Laura I expect him to show up in a bedazzled leotard on his show tonight I mean this was not a great moment now my favorite moment was when Maddow read the entire Taylor Swift statement as if it was a Magna Carta oh they're not playing it I guess well it was really funny you set it up it was good for nearly the Taylor Swift thing I'm not sure it really works Laura
