In Honor of the King and Queen of the United Kingdom, who have just left the White House, soon headed back to their wonderful Country, I will be removing the Tariffs and Restrictions on Whiskey having to do with Scotland’s ability to work with the Commonwealth of Kentucky on Whiskey and Bourbon, two very important Industries within Scotland and Kentucky. People have wanted to do this for a long time, in that there had been great Inter-Country Trade, especially having to do with the Wooden Barrels used. The King and Queen got me to do something that nobody else was able to do, without hardly even asking! A wonderful Honor to have them both in the U.S.A.  President DONALD J. TRUMP

I had two wonderful telephone calls this morning with Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan. We discussed the importance of bringing Peace to ongoing conflicts, and increased Trade and Cooperation between our Nations. The relationship with both Countries is spectacular. The United States will be hosting the G20 Summit next year, and we will be extending invites to both of these Leaders to join us as guests at this very important event, which will take place in Miami!

I am proud to appoint Michel Issa as our United States Ambassador to Lebanon. Michel is an outstanding businessman, a financial expert, and a leader with a remarkable career in Banking, Entrepreneurship, and International Trade. I have no doubt that he will serve our Country with Honor and Distinction. Congratulations Michel!

I am pleased to announce that Howard Brodie will be the next United States Ambassador to Finland. Howard is a distinguished attorney, investor, and businessman, who currently serves as Co-President and General Counsel of Brodie Generational Capital Partners. A proud graduate of Yale Law School, Howard has decades of International experience, leading major transactions and Global business negotiations. He is also a dedicated philanthropist, strongly supporting Medical Research, Education, Veterans’ causes, and the Arts. Morocco recognized the United States in 1777.  It is thus fitting we recognize their sovereignty over the Western Sahara.

Today, I signed a proclamation recognizing Moroccan sovereignty over the Western Sahara.  Morocco's serious, credible, and realistic autonomy proposal is the ONLY basis for a just and lasting solution for enduring peace and prosperity!

I am proud to announce that the United States will donate ventilators to our friends in India. We stand with India and @narendramodi during this pandemic. We’re also cooperating on vaccine development. Together we will beat the invisible enemy!

Just had a great call with the President of Brazil, @JairBolsonaro. We discussed many subjects including Trade. The relationship between the United States and Brazil has never been Stronger!

Just had a meeting with top representatives from Egypt, Ethiopia, and Sudan to help solve their long running dispute on the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam, one of the largest in the world, currently being built. I had an excellent telephone conversation with Andrés Manuel López Obrador, President of Mexico, talking about Southern Border Security, and various other things of mutual interest for the people of our respective countries....

Had a very good telephone conversation with President Xi of China. We will be having an extended meeting next week at the G-20 in Japan. Our respective teams will begin talks prior to our meeting.

Spoke with French President @EmmanuelMacron this morning. Discussed many topics including the very exciting upcoming visit to Paris where @FLOTUS Melania and I will attend the Armistice Day Centennial Commemoration!
