I am pleased to announce that Ambassador Michael George DeSombre will be nominated as the next United States Assistant Secretary of State for East Asia and the Pacific. During my First Term, Michael served as my Ambassador to the Kingdom of Thailand, and did a great job! Michael is a Partner at Sullivan Cromwell, where he heads up the Asia Mergers and Acquisitions, as well as the Korea and Southeast Asia practices. He is a graduate, magna cum laude, of Harvard Law School, and has a Bachelor’s (Quantitative Economics) and Master’s degree (East Asian Studies) from Stanford University, where he did his thesis on Chinese nuclear weapon strategy. I know Michael will work incredibly hard for our Country. Congratulations Michael!

I am pleased to nominate Paul Dabbar to be United States Deputy Secretary of Commerce. Paul will work closely with our Great Secretary of Commerce, Howard Lutnick, to bring back American Leadership in Global Commerce, Trade, and Technology. Paul served as my Under Secretary of Energy for Science, where he lead the National Labs that started as the Manhattan Project, helping to drive semiconductors, AI, quantum, Energy Dominance, and our War-fighting capabilities. Previously, Paul was a Nuclear Submarine Officer, and is a graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy and Columbia University. Congratulations Paul!

I am proud to announce the appointment of David A. Warrington to serve as Assistant to the President and Counsel to the President. Dave will lead the Office of White House Counsel, and serve as the top attorney in the White House. Dave has represented me well as my personal attorney, and as General Counsel for my Presidential Campaign. He is an esteemed lawyer and Conservative leader. FoxNews just covered, from beginning to end, the Ron DeSanctimonious very boring news conference at the Border, but didn’t cover one minute of my two big speeches on Saturday and Sunday night, one for Faith & Freedom in D.C., the other about trade in Michigan, where I was presented with the “Man of the Decade” Award. The DeSanctus speech was just a rehash of all the things I did to have the “safest and strongest Border in U.S. history.” Also, I’m up on him by 40 points, & also up big on Biden!

Mike Pompeo is outstanding. First in his class at West Point. A top student at Harvard Law School. A success at whatever he has done. We need the Senate to approve Mike ASAP. He will be a great Secretary of State!
